Lauren Flymen in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Fancy Footwork" Workout

Lauren Flymen, known for her Instagram account Lauren Jumps, is a fitness influencer with her own unique workout program: It consists of jumping (aka skipping) rope. She showed off her moves on a recent reel. Flymen captioned the post, “Fancy footwork 💃🏼 🤓 learn with my app @fancy.feats,” she said, offering a free 7 day trial. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Lauren Flymen stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She’s Determined

Determination,Level,Conceptual,Meter,Indicate,Maximum,,Isolated,On,White,BackgroundShutterstock

Flymen is very determined to reach her goals. She tells Get The Gloss, “I am a sporty person, and I grew up doing dance and sports such as squash, netball, lacrosse and athletics so I guess I'm quite coordinated although, that said, skipping made me feel very uncoordinated at first. It's so much harder than it looks. I'm quite a determined person and hate being rubbish at things so I guess I do pick things up quickly due to this.”

2. She Does What She Enjoys

Why does Flymen jump rope to stay fit? She enjoys it. “The best fitness advice I’ve ever received was to do something you enjoy and enjoy being fit and healthy,” she said, according to Muscle and Health. “If you don’t enjoy it, you won’t be able to sustain it and won’t want to do it every day. So, find something you love doing every day. People should start skipping for the same reason I did because it’s so much fun. And once they get started, they won’t be able to stop."

3. She Focuses on the Positive

Although the majority of comments on her posts are rightly super-positive, sometimes, trolls may say something about her looks. Does she take it to heart? “It depends on how I'm feeling that day,” she said on the Born to Fly podcast. “Sometimes I'm like laugh can laugh it off and then sometimes for some reason it just gets to you. Sometimes it is three in a row and it's like the last three comments I receive on different posts someone's having a dig about. Some people say you always do the same thing.” Her hack? She tries to focus on the positive comments, too. “I try and I always say to myself if I'm going to respond to that negative one, I have to respond to all the others. And by the time you've responded to all the positive ones, you get to a negative one, you don't even care anymore.”

4. She Jumps Rope, Of Course

Flymen talked about the impact jumping rope has had on her to Get The Gloss. “Jump rope turned my life around in lockdown. Not only am I now the fittest I've ever been and in the best shape I've ever been, it gave me a reason to get out of bed when I wasn’t working, it gave me something to focus on, and it gave me the satisfaction of something to work towards with unlocking new skills. It kept me healthy, it connected me with people around the world and gave me a sense of togetherness.”

5. Her Final Word on Skipping

Lauren is thrilled to promote something “that you can do on your own that's enjoyable, that you can do anywhere, that you can learn,” she said on the Born to Fly podcast. “There's so much to learn, it's never ending and there's, it is like an escape, isn't it? And it's such a great hobby that you don't need a gym membership, you don't need anything, you don't need someone else to be able to do it with and you can do it anywhere. I think it's like being able to find something that I love so much I'm so passionate about….actually being in a situation where I can influence people to try this thing that's so fun and they believe it. They believe from watching my videos that it's really enjoyable to the extent where they try it themselves and then they realize themselves how much it can change their lives and how enjoyable it is for them and how much of an escape it is for them from their problems. So being in that situation, finding that thing for me and also helping others find that thing is the best thing.”

Fitness Influencer Meghan Callaway Shares "Step Up" Tips

Callaway shares her top workout tips for building strength and form.

We are committed to bringing you researched, expert-driven content to help you make more informed decisions around food, health, and wellness. We know how important making choices about your overall health is, and we strive to provide you with the best information possible.

Meghan Callaway, a fitness expert and influencer, is known for her practical advice and innovative workout techniques. From mastering step-ups to challenging core exercises, she consistently shares tips to optimize fitness routines. In a recent Instagram post, Callaway focused on perfecting step-ups, emphasizing proper form and technique: “Step-ups are a great exercise when performed correctly. Unfortunately, most people do not do them properly, so they do not obtain the full benefits.” Here’s a closer look at her approach to fitness and self-care.

She Does Step-Ups

As you can see from her Instagram post, Callaway likes to do step-ups to keep herself in shape. She shared her tips for doing them properly in the caption. “✅ When you are performing step-ups, the leg that is elevated on the surface should be doing most of the work (I prefer at least 75%). ❌ MANY people cheat by pushing off with their foot on the supporting side (usually forefoot/toes), and this makes the exercise MUCH less effective! ✅ One trick I find REALLY helps, and something I’ve been using for YEARS, is to pick up the toes of the supporting leg, and to not allow them to touch the floor for the duration of the exercise. ✅ You can see I’m only allowing my heel to lightly touch the floor. ✅ This makes it a LOT tougher to cheat with the supporting leg, and forces the planted/elevated leg to do most of the work.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣Many people ‘ego lift’ when they do step-ups! Less weight can often be more effective!”

She Does Core Workouts

Callaway shared some of her favorite core workouts in this Instagram video. She captioned the post, “If you want an extremely EVIL core challenge to sink your teeth into, give this exercise a try! This is advanced. By anchoring my feet this way AND contracting my hamstrings, I am inhibiting my hip flexors. I got this awesome idea from @lukahocevar . As Luka said, ‘my hamstrings were like WTF,’ so don’t be surprised if your hamstrings cramp 😂. While it’s widely known I’m a BIG advocate of hip flexor strengthening, when many people are trying to train their anterior and lateral core muscles their hip flexors often compensate. This amazing ‘hack makes the exercise SO much tougher because the hip flexors can no longer kick in.”

She Does Planks

Callaway is seen doing plank exercises in this Instagram video. Planks have a lot of benefits. Allina Health states, “If you want an exercise that engages most of your muscles in one easy step, then you should plank. The plank is a simple, effective bodyweight exercise that strengthens your core, as well as muscles in your upper and lower body. Core muscles, which include your back and abdomen, help you maintain posture and balance as you stand, sit and move throughout the day.”

She Does Squats

Callaway shared some of her favorite lower body exercises in these Instagram videos. In them, she is seen doing two different kinds of squats: split squats and negative Spanish squats. Callaway captioned the post, “Front heel elevated split squats + back foot elevated (with emphasis on forward knee tracking). Use a range that feels comfortable. 👉 2-3 sets of 8-12 reps per side. Negative Spanish squats. With Spanish Squats you will keep your shins in a vertical position for 100% of the movement, and there will be minimal ankle dorsiflexion. This can be a very knee friendly option.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ This is also an AMAZING leg finisher. 👉 2-3 sets of 6-12 reps.”

She Does Pull-Ups

Callaway likes to do pull-ups to stay in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing them. Callaway talked about her journey with the exercise in the caption. “Day 16 since I resumed pull-ups after a 7 month injury (radial nerve) layoff. 8 sets of 6. Final set (so I was a bit fatigued/form wasn’t as good). Then I did several sets of 2 reps of unassisted false grip pull-ups, and some banded sets of 5 reps. Usually I’d do these first but wasn’t planning on doing them so soon. The false grip felt surprisingly comfy. I basically did NO upper body training for 7 months. The injury would’ve resolved a LOT faster if I’d seen the good physio much sooner, but I had a lot of other stuff going on in my life and put my own recovery on the back burner. And I did several other treatments that normally would’ve been helpful, but ended up just REALLY provoking the nerve and setting me back. I’m filming pull-ups top off so I can make sure my pull is nice and even. When coming back from an injury it’s easy to guard and compensate, even when there are no symptoms. My form isn’t perfect yet, but will be. And I’ve regained a lot of my muscle as I lost a decent amount over my 7 month upper body layoff!”

Amanda Tress is a very successful fitness trainer. She recently announced her new 2025 program on Instagram. Tress captioned the post, “Did someone say ADVANCED workouts for 2025?! For those of you who are straight up ATHLETES because you have been crushing the FWTFL for years… we will have an ADVANCED workout track for you starting January 6! It’s about to get 👑🔥🚀”

She Does Burpees

Tress shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. As a part of her 12 Days of Fitmas series, she shared a different workout each day on her page. In this video, Tress is seen doing burpees. The Cleveland Clinic states that burpees have a lot of benefits. “Burpees are brutally efficient as a workout tool, meshing cardio and strength training into an extremely high-intensity package. In seven simple movements, the exercise works your body from top to bottom. It’s a continuous-movement activity that uses the full musculature of your body, says exercise physiologist Griffin Nykor, RKin, CPT.”

She Does Squats

Another exercise Tress did in her 12 Days of Fitmas series is squats. According to Piedmont, squats have a lot of benefits. “Squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back. A squat has more overall benefits than, say, a bicep curl, which strengthens an isolated area.”

She Doesn't't Weigh Herself

In the caption of this Instagram post, Tress revealed that she doesn’t weigh herself or own a scale. “Why I don’t own a scale. I threw away my scale over a decade ago and I don’t often talk about why. I even banned ‘weigh ins’ through the FASTer Way when I first launched it because I feel so strongly that daily weigh-ins are not a good representation of progress and, in fact, can be a de-motivator. Over time, I’ve learned that true wellness isn’t found in numbers on a scale. Instead, I track my health and fitness through things that actually matter to me: 💪🏻Getting stronger in my lifts and seeing muscle definition develop 👕 How my clothes fit and feel ⚡ My daily energy levels 😴 Quality of sleep 🧘♀️ How my body feels - no bloating, moving well. Daily weigh-ins used to be demotivating and didn’t reflect the real progress I was making in strength and overall health. Plus the scale can’t measure confidence, strength, or how great it feels to crush a workout.”

She Does Deadlifts

Tress likes to do deadlifts to keep herself in shape. She is seen doing them in this workout video on Instagram. Tress captioned it, “I tweaked my back doing deadlifts 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 We shall see how this pans out trying to lug 5 kids around this weekend. 😝 I worked around it and still got in a great workout. Comment YES below if you crushed leg day!!!”

She Does Lunges

Tress shared some more of her favorite lower body workouts in this Instagram video with a friend. One exercise she is seen doing in it is lunges. Tress captioned the post, “Comment YES below if you crushed leg day!! Oh my word. My legs are smoked. 🙌🏻👑🎄PS Emma is the best workout buddy and she’s getting so strong.”

Jena Sims Koepka is working on her core – in her exercise clothes. In a new social media post the golf wife shows off her strength and amazing body during an exercise circuit. “Cove + Core + Pulling,” she captioned the Instagram video, demonstrating every move in the video. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care and what is her core workout? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. F45 Workouts

Kirkland,Washington,,August,12,,2019.,Kettlebells,Are,Lined,Up,InShutterstock

Jena is a fan of a popular workout method. “My favorite type of workout is F45,” she told FOX. “It’s just a 45-minute class. And I think I like it so much because they play amazing music and it’s so loud.”

2. Weight Lifting

“I’m not a calm, soothing Pilates, yoga princess. I’m like, ‘Scream at me.’ I want to be dripping sweat,” continued Sims. “I want loud music, heavy weights. For my body type, I like to lift weights because I don’t need to do a lot of cardio. I find that lifting weights has been the most beneficial,” she told Fox. “I've been working on just upping my weights a little bit,” she added to Daily Mail. “I can get into this sweet spot and get kind of in a plateau of working out, so I upped my weights after seeing her video because I was so impressed by what she did with her fitness. I'm trying to lift heavier. Trying to build a booty.”

3. Clean Eating

To get in shape for her Sports Illustrated photoshoot, Jena didn’t diet, “ all I'm doing is just eating as clean as I can, but I'm still splurging,” she told Daily Mail. “Like, I had four dinner rolls last night at this charity event as well as my meal.”

4. Pure Barre

Jena also likes to “mix it up” when it comes to exercise. She loves Pure Barre classes, a fusion of yoga, Pilates, and ballet and a “full body, low impact workout” for everybody, according to the brand.

5. Here is Her Core Workout

Here is her latest workout, “such a good series to work the pull muscles and the ABS,” she says.

  1. roll up w/ leg extended
  2. tailbone raises w/ ball between ankles and arms overhead
  3. plank rows
  4. assisted band pull ups

Rebeca Andrade is an Olympic gymnast. She is the most decorated Olympic athlete from Brazil, having won two gold medals, three silvers, and a bronze. Andrade recently shared some highlights of her native Brazil on Instagram. In some of them, she posed in a swimsuit while wading. Andrade captioned the post, “SC-&-RS🏕️🌅❤️ Being free is a paradox. It's committing to the life you want, without running away from the work that it entails. It's building freedom every day, with conscious choices and, mainly, with the acceptance that freedom is not the absence of limits, but the autonomy to know which ones are worth it and which ones are not. Being free is being willing to carry the weight of your own life and still find it funny.”

She Swims

In her Instagram post, Andrade is seen swimming. The Cleveland Clinic says that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming takes much less of a toll on your body than, say, running or riding a bike. That’s because exercising in water lessens the impact of your body weight on your joints.”

She Does Gymnastics

Gymnastics is the main way Andrade stays in shape. British Gymnastics states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “When you take part in gymnastics, or any sport for that matter, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These also help to trigger a positive feeling in the body which can have a positive impact on your happiness and mental wellbeing. This can help to combat feelings of anxiety and depression.”

She Prioritizes Safety

Andrade talked about her training approach in an interview with the Olympics website. She says that she and her coach prioritize her safety, and that she will skip floor sessions if she isn’t able to do it. "I talk a lot with my coach and we trust in each other. We always try to be really safe, and do floor in the correct moments. He believes in me. I'm never going to lie to not do it. So, when I really tell him that I can't do it, it's because I cannot and he always respects that.”

She Sets Goals

In her Olympics website interview, Andrade talked about her commitment and goal setting. Specifically, she talked about her goal to make the Olympic team. “The other [goal], which is the main one, is for us to qualify as a team,” Andrade said. “I think it will be very important for me, for my team, and the focus is on that, whatever happens there, the result is a consequence of our work, of our commitment. But I really want to be there with my team and be happy and healthy.”

She Cooks

Andrade makes sure to eat healthy. She also likes to cook a lot of her own meals. She shared some of her favorite things to make in an interview with NPR. “There was one that was with potatoes and cheese, chicken. There’s cake. There’s cookies. A lot of things.”

Brandi Glanville has never been one to hold back, whether on reality TV or her unfiltered podcast. Best known for her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the US and UK versions of Celebrity Big Brother, and The Traitors, Glanville always speaks her mind. Her podcast, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered, recently stirred up some drama when she called out Real Housewives stars for struggling on The Traitors and suggested the show stop casting them. Many fans saw this as subtle shade toward Phaedra Parks, who excelled in the previous season.

Beyond the headlines, Glanville has shared glimpses into her personal wellness routine, from skincare secrets to unconventional self-care methods. Here’s a look at how she stays feeling and looking her best.

She Uses Eye Patches

One thing that Glanville does to take care of her skin is use under-eye patches. In this Instagram post, she revealed the brand she used on Celebrity Big Brother. Glanville captioned it, “One of the #1 questions we get from fans since leaving #bigbrother is what brand of under eye patches were we wearing constantly on the show...The answer is @peterthomasrothofficial!! They are amaze! #ThanksMarissa 💋 (Blogging about all the products, will be posting on @bbeautyunfltrd soon).”

She Walks

Brandi is seen walking her dog

Brandi Glanville/Instagram

Glanville likes to walk her dogs to keep herself in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself and her pup walking in Los Angeles. Glanville captioned the post, “On our way to do some podcasting.” Harvard Health says that walking is very beneficial. “Walking can help protect you during cold and flu season. A study of over 1,000 men and women found that those who walked at least 20 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week, had 43% fewer sick days than those who exercised once a week or less. And if they did get sick, it was for a shorter duration, and their symptoms were milder.”

She Has A Dog

As you can see from the previous Instagram post, Glanville has pet dogs. And according to Harvard Health, this can be beneficial. “A growing body of solid research shows that owning a dog can: provide companionship, help you be more active, make kids calmer, more secure, and more responsible, improve the lives of older individuals, help you be calmer, more mindful, and more present in your life, make you more social and less isolated, ease stress.”

She Worked With A Breath Coach

Glanville revealed to Us Weekly that she works with a breath coach to help with her mental health. “I’m still doing cosmetic stuff, but at the same time trying to fix myself. I eat better and breathe and actually exercise. I’m getting there. I just started with this journey, but I can actually do things. My body can do things now that I couldn’t do five years ago.”

She Uses CellSound

Glanville revealed to People that she used the CellSound treatment on her stomach. "I mean, to be honest, I haven't worn a crop top in years, and I literally feel comfortable going out in a crop top, which is so bizarre," she says. "Not that I feel like everyone should do that, but I can go work out with a crop top on and not feel like I have my mommy stomach and I shouldn't sit down. So it's definitely empowered me in that aspect."

Kat McNamara is a successful actress. She is known for her role in fantasy and superhero projects like Shadowhunters, Girl vs. Monster, and Arrow. She Does Pilates

McNamara is seen doing Pilates in her Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “The benefits of Pilates are both therapeutic and preventive. The practice may help you recover from an existing injury or manage a chronic musculoskeletal issue. It may also help you establish a healthy baseline, so that when those injuries or issues arise, you’re able to bounce back faster.”

She Boxes

McNamara shared some of the things she did to stay in shape for Shadowhunters in an interview with Women’s Health. One thing she did was box. “It builds the shape of muscles I needed to look like a fighter, and it's just plain fun," she says.” Boxing has a lot of health benefits. McNamara tells Women’s Health that she doesn’t skip leg day. "I know most people hate leg day, but I kinda love it. It's what makes me feel strongest." Piedmont says that leg workouts are extremely important. “Having strong glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings and calf muscles gives your body a strong foundation and can: Tone your lower body muscles. Boost your metabolism as you increase muscle mass. Give you a higher calorie burn as you train larger muscle groups. Improve your balance.”

She Does HIIT

While on Shadowhunters, McNamara did a lot of HIIT. "In order to do the fight scenes, I needed a lot of upper body strength because I would be holding weapons all day," she says to Women’s Health. "High intensity interval training turned out to be the perfect thing for me. I was able to keep up my cardio stamina and build upon that so I could do the fight scenes, which are basically just sprints."

She Consistent

McNamara tells Women’s Health that she makes sure to stay consistent with her workouts. “There were days when I was tired. There were days when the last thing I wanted to do was pick up a weight...but I just had to physically get myself there—to take a deep breath and remember why I was doing it and why I was there. I think that can go for any kind of physical goal that someone has—half the battle is the mental battle.”
