Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Molly Burnett is celebrating the fall by taking part in typical November activities—which in California means donning a swimsuit and enjoying the pool. Burnett, 35, who plays Detective Grace Muncy on the show, shared highlights of her fall so far, including a picture of her laughing in the sun in a hot-pink bikini. “The fall 🍂,” she captioned the post. “Your smile and laugh tho -UNMATCHED!!!!😍😍😍,” commented Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause. Here’s what Burnett’s health and wellness regimen looks like.

1. Her Morning Routine

Burnett starts her day with an energy bar before hitting the gym. “Eating healthy is very important to me, especially in the morning before a workout,” she says. “Perfect Bars are my go-to for a quick healthy pre-workout snack to kick start my day. I love getting my day started with a high-intensity workout. Orange Theory lets me get my cardio and strength training in, all in the course of one hour. If I have time in the morning, I love to put Colin Cowherd’s ‘The Herd’ sports show on while I do my chores and work. He keeps me up to date on everything happening in the sports world!”

2. Empathy and Compassion

Fake,Dictionary,,Definition,Of,The,Word,Empathy.Shutterstock

Burnett’s work as an actor has taught her empathy. “Creating characters and figuring out why people do the things they do, for a living, has absolutely allowed me to be more understanding and compassionate to the differences that exist between people with diverse backgrounds and experiences,” she says. “I think the most important thing is to really love what you do. This career demands so much patience and determination. As long as you continue to remember you're pursuing acting for the love of it, you will continue to find fulfillment.”

3. She Makes Time for Self-Care

Burnett makes time for self-care whenever she can. “One of my favorite things to do if I have some free time in the afternoon is curl up on my patio with a good book!” she says. “I’m currently reading AMORALMAN by Derek DelGaudio, which I highly recommend. A good smelling house is a must. Bath and Body Works are my go-to for scents! I switch it up each season, so right now my favorite scent is Passionfruit Banana Flower. Good music helps to keep the afternoon crash at bay. I love R&B and Hip Hop. Mac Miller and J. Cole are my go-to artists.”

4. She’s a Sneakerhead

Burnett is obsessed with sneakers. “I am a big sneakerhead! My first pair was the Retro 1 Air Jordans,” she says. “I think the growth in sneaker culture can be attributed to the fact that more pop culture icons today have their own sneaker lines. From hip hop artists to athletes to designers and beyond. Social media has definitely increased the amount of sneaker exposure.”

5. Skincare and Meditation

Burnett meditates in the evenings and winds down with her skincare routine. “It’s hard to find time to meditate in the morning for me, so I usually wind down with an easy 10-minute meditation on my Calm app. Highly recommend!” she says. “My mom taught me the importance of a fresh clean face before bed. I take off my makeup and slather Tatcha’s The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream, followed by Tatcha’s Water Cream moisturizer.”

Sullivan's Crossing star Morgan Kohan is showing her fans and social media followers that appearances are not always what they seem. Kohan shared a very glamorous photo of herself posing at the beach in a black bikini and sun hat, sipping on a drink in the sunshine. Unfortunately, she clearly didn’t wear enough sunblock. “In a shocking turn of events… I burnt,” she captioned the post. Here’s what Kohan thinks about her show, and why so many people love it.

1. College Actor

Hands,Holding,Clapper,Board,Making,Video,Cinema,In,Studio.,MovieShutterstock

Kohan gained a love for acting in university. “I didn’t really get into acting until I was in college,” she says. “I went to New York and saw Broadway for the first time, in grade twelve, and immediately set my sights on a Musical Theatre College. I somehow shockingly got in with only my dance background. College was definitely where my love for acting started. Once I graduated, I slowly began to focus on film and TV and that really felt like home for me.”

2. Producing Dreams

Los,Angeles,-,Jul,26:,Morgan,Kohan,And,Drew,NelsonShutterstock

Kohan wants to expand beyond acting. “I can see myself producing more, if I was to expand,” she says. “My boyfriend is interested in directing. I’m a problem solver, I really like organizing and getting things done. Just a thought. Probably want to do a short film then move into a movie. I didn’t watch much film or TV growing up. In the summer we had TV allowance every day. We were encouraged to play, do homework, dance, etc. Anything, connecting to acting wise was dance based, which led me into acting.”

3. Slow Burn

Celebrities Visit Hallmark Channel's "Home & Family"Shutterstock

Kohan appreciates the slower pace of Sullivan’s Crossing. “Sullivan’s Crossing is a family drama that takes place in a small town with a super tight knit community, and because of that, you really learn to love each character and grow with them,” she says. “Not to mention it has a beautiful, slow burning love story at its heart. It’s the kind of show that I think everyone can see a part of themselves in and that’s what I believe really made those classic narrative dramas on CW thrive the way they did.‍”

4. Hiking With Her Dog

Kohan loves hiking with her pup. “You don’t have to go it alone next time you lace up your hiking boots. Grab a friend, neighbor, or family member for more fun on the trail,” according to the National Park Service. “Hiking with a partner, or even in a group, can improve the strength and health of your relationships. Because hiking ranges in difficulty from an extremely challenging climb to a casual way of spending time outside, it’s a great way to strengthen the friendships or bonds you have with your companions. Whether it’s with a younger sibling, neighborhood friend, or even a grandparent, hiking a trail together can bring you closer and help build a healthy relationship.”

5. Sisterly Love

Kohan’s happy place is with her sister. “I don’t think I’ve ever ‘run away’ in the same capacity that Maggie does but I have taken a breather, so to speak, when I had some big relationship shifts,” she says. “And for that, I went to my younger sister where she took perfect care of me with fuzzy blankets, walks, wine, and trash tv.”

Beyond their on-screen personas, Mike & Molly actors have shared their personal journeys, perspectives, and even some beauty and fitness secrets. From Melissa McCarthy's empowering approach to body image to Billy Gardell's transformation and self-care revelations, each cast member offers unique insights. We also explore how Katy Mixon approaches her craft, Holly Robinson Peete's skincare regimen, Reno Wilson's dual role as an actor and fitness instructor, Swoosie Kurtz's intriguing personality contrast, and Louis Marstillo's unconventional inspirations.

1. Melissa McCarthy

Melissa,Mccarthy,At,The,91st,Annual,Academy,Awards,Held,AtShutterstock

Melissa McCarthy played the lead role of Molly Flynn, winning an Emmy for it. She shared how she approaches body image to Life & Style. “I truly stopped worrying about it,” she said. “I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked. It may be the best thing I’ve ever done. I feel amazing!”

2. Billy Gardell

Los,Angeles,-,Sep,12:,Billy,Gardell,At,The,2019Shutterstock

Billy Gardell plays Mike Biggs on the show. He talked about his weight loss and body image to Entertainment Tonight. "I think you got to find peace with yourself and at some point, look in the mirror and go you know, ‘it's probably time to take care of you.’ Then I didn't get that note early on,” Gardell said. "So I'm a big believer that when you get it, you get it. It doesn't matter when. As long as you get it.”

3. Katy Mixon

Los,Angeles,-,Jan,08:,Katy,Mixon,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Katy Mixon played Victoria Flynn on the show. She talked about how she approaches acting to Backstage.com. “For me, all of the technicalities are different, but what I’m grounded in and my background is the same. You approach it the same way where you prepare, and as an actor, you go into a scene: ‘What’s my objective? What’s my want? What’s my tactic? Why am I talking? What do I need out of this person?’ That’s all the same. It’s just you happen to be there for 14 hours filming so many different ways from so many different angles.”

4. Holly Robinson Peete

Los,Angeles,-,Jul,26:,Holly,Robinson,Peete,At,TheShutterstock

Holly Robinson Peete played the recurring role of Christina. She shared her skincare secrets with New Beauty. “I use a couple different kinds of products, but I love Drunk Elephant. They’re an excellent brand. I’m also really into steaming my face, it really feels like you get your pores open. I use lemon or other essential oils in just a pot, and I’ll steam with over it with my hair up in a towel. It’s really simple, and I find it works really well for me. I also exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate.”

5. Reno Wilson

West,Hollywood,,Ca,Usa,-,April,24,,2023:,Reno,WilsonShutterstock

Reno Wilson played the role of Carl McMillian on the show. In addition to being an actor, he is also a fitness instructor. The Los Angeles Times reported that Wilson teaches a spin class. Sometimes, his Mike & Molly co-stars would attend the class. “The show that spins together stays together, wins Emmys together,” he said.

6. Swoosie Kurtz

Swoosie,Kurtz,Attends,Los,Angeles,Premiere,Of,"overboard",At,TheShutterstock

Swoosie Kurtz plays Joyce Flynn on the show. She talked about her life and career to Smashing Interviews. “I think I’m an extrovert in front of a camera or on stage, but an introvert in life. It took me a while to figure that out. A lot of actors start out shy and then discover that they can, in front of a group of people, somehow be liberated by playing someone else.”

7. Louis Marstillo

Los,Angeles,-,Mar,1:,Louis,Mustillo,Arrives,At,TheShutterstock

Actor and writer Louis Marstillo played Vince Moranto on the show. He talked about his approach to his career to Stage Rights. “My acting and writing work are actually influenced by people I knew and experiences I encountered in Buffalo, New York City, and Los Angeles, most of which were not at all connected to the world of entertainment. I draw so much inspiration from walking around the streets of New York City or going to offbeat neighborhoods in Los Angeles such as Atwater Village where I get to observe all different types of people. It is essential to get away from the business and explore real life as that can prove to be the best acting class. Growing up in a blue-collar, Irish neighborhood in Buffalo, New York as a full-blooded Italian, I was always on the outside looking in. I grew up with an older and a younger sister but had no older brother to stick up for me. As an Italian family, we had different food, different holidays, and a whole different perspective on life than our Irish neighbors. If I told a neighborhood kid they were wrong, a fight could ensue. A bunch of Irish guys punching me in the head helped prepare me for the harshness of Hollywood.”

And a Müller Püd Corner of course!” Scherzinger says that she uses these ingredients to make healthy meals. She says that her go-tos are, “My favourite breakfast is six-minute eggs with smoked salmon and toast. Or just scrambled eggs with a turkey sausage or turkey bacon. For lunch I’ll have sushi, a sandwich or a salad. And for dinner I love seafood pasta, fish and brown rice and veggies or chicken, brown rice and veggies.”

2. Brielle Biermann

The reality star revealed that she uses supplements to help her get her bikini-body. She wrote on Instagram, “Everyone’s asking how i lost weight.. secrets out! so thankful my daily Modere trim got me bikini ready for the summer!”

The Fast and The Furious and Lethal Weapon star tells Byrdie that she and her trainer work on posture and alignment. She says, “I also work with someone named Lauren Roxburgh—she does foam rolling, and it’s really good as far as getting your fascia in shape, and it does a lot with your alignment and your posture, and that’s been really helpful too. I find that I’m more limber after a session with her.”

4. Laverne Cox

Laverne Cox says that her fitness regime is more about having fun and being comfortable, rather than losing weight. "I'm not overachieving in fitness at the moment," Cox tells InStyle. "I'm doing it, it's not as high-level, but I like where I'm at with it now. It's fun, it's medicinal, and I'm not being hard on myself. I think studying classical ballet creates this thing where you just beat yourself up, and I'm not doing that right now."

5. Larsa Pippen

Larsa Pippen revealed her workout routine on Instagram, and says that she likes to do a lot of full-body HIIT movements. In the video, Pippen is using weights and is seen doing deadlifts, front squats, low rows, and static combos. Pippen previously told HollywoodLife that she does two sessions of “40 squats a set.” She says, “If you incorporate weights into that then you wouldn’t have to do so many. You would just do 12-15 reps.”

6. Rebel Wilson

Rebel Wilson says that she is all about self-care and self-love. One of the ways she does so is giving herself breaks, and lightening her schedule. “I’m trying to have much more of a balance,” she says to Bustle. “I used to be go-go-go 24/7, and so I’ve come to that realization that you can’t just do movies and stuff back to back all the time and work 20 hours a day. It’s not a healthy thing.”

7. Olivia Culpo

The former Miss Universe and fashion icon Olivia Culpo is known for her incredible figure, and she works hard to keep herself in shape. "I've noticed it's very important to be consistent with workouts," she says to Shape magazine. "I think it's really easy for people to go through phases where they're really intense with their workouts and then they kind of fall out of it." Culpo says that she tries to stay active everyday, no matter how busy she gets. "I try to stay active as much as I can by doing low-impact, high-intensity workouts so that I'm consistent and I don't wake up one day and realize it's been two weeks and I haven't worked out."

For Hewitt, fitness is all about variety. “I try to switch it up a bit,” she told OK! I’ve been doing pilates, I’ve been doing yoga, I’ve done just plain old walking. I wear 10 pound weights on my ankles while I’m working just so that as I’m moving during the day I’m constantly building muscle. It’s not great for your back but I’m doing it anyway. Over the past few years, Sydney Sweeney has become one of America’s sweethearts with celebrated roles in everything from hit HBO shows Euphoria and White Lotus to big-screen movies Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Anyone But You. In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Strength training may also help you:

This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
