Back in 2024, the "Juice" singer wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post, "I'm getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the internet. All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I'm starting to feel like the world doesn't want me in it. I'm constantly up against lies being told about me for clout and views … being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look."

Lizzo loves her body and encourages others to do so as well. She posted an exercise video on TikTok in 2020, saying, "I've been working out consistently for the last five years, and it may come as a surprise for some of y'all that I'm not working out to have your ideal body type. I'm working out to have my ideal body type."

In the video, Lizzo is pictured working out on an exercise bike, jumping rope, and doing squat jump taps.

The "Juice" singer has been on an incredibly successful weight-loss journey and shared many updates with fans along the way, including great advice.

"I love my body. And that's incredible, because there were times in my life where I was smaller than I am now and I hated myself. And before I started this fitness journey, I started a self-love journey. And self-love isn't just about accepting yourself as you are. It's also accepting the fact that you change. Our bodies grow and sag, and stretch, and sink—and true body positivity is not fighting that; it's honoring that," Lizzo said on social media.

In January, the celeb posted an Instagram selfie in workout clothes with an icon of a bullseye target that says, "Congratulations! You've met your weight goals." She captioned the pic, "I did it. Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal. I haven't seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!"

This was followed with another pic that indicates overall, Lizzo reduced her body fat by 16% and BMI by 10.5.

The singer previously revealed she has not used medications to achieve her weight loss. She works out and has changed her eating habits.

She Re-Introduced Protein Into Her Diet

Lizzo was a vegan, but the celeb's travels to Japan prompted her to reincorporate protein into her diet. She loved how "clean" the food in Japan is.

"My re-introduction to protein started with Japan. Someone suggested I try a Japanese diet because it's one of the healthiest diets in the world, and it has some of my favorite foods," Lizzo explained in her Instagram video.

She added, "When I got to Japan, I was in awe at how clean and delicious their food was. I indulged in fresh sushi, and fluffy egg, and I was amazed at how good my body felt the next day. And that led me on a journey to figure out how animal proteins effect my body. After tests and research, I found that animal proteins helped me have more energy, lose weight, and helped with my mental fog. I do believe that the vegan diet is still the healthiest diet to have, and I aspire to one day be a raw, alkaline vegan. Until then, this is the diet that's helped me reach my goals and help me feel good in my body. It can be scary talking about things like this because veganism is such a sensitive subject. People are vegan for many reasons, whether it be health, or environmental or love for the animals or all of the above. I'm aware how people could take this, and how it can make them feel. But I'd rather be honest and share my story in my own words. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, white meat only, or fully carnivorous, I'm not gonna judge you. Do what's best for you in your life at that moment. All that matters is that you're happy. And if you're happy, I'm happy."

As far as what Lizzo eats in a day, the singer shared in her Instagram clip that she drinks lemon water, okra water, and homemade peach tea. Lizzo enjoys dishes like egg white cups with cauliflower hash browns and fruit, buffalo chicken lettuce wraps, and grilled chicken with asparagus and carrots.

She's Happy

At the end of the day, Lizzo has set realistic expectations for herself and is happy. She wrote, "Even at the end of my weight-loss journey, I'm not going to be considered thin by any means. I will still be considered morbidly obese on the BMI. But I will be happy."

Lizzy posted an amazing picture on Instagram from the 2025 Oscars captioned, "I might make an appearance cus I look this fine," and she really does.
