Lo Bosworth is just the latest celebrity to jump on the pickleball bandwagon—but her parents are practically professionals at the game. Bosworth, 37, shared a video of herself wearing two-piece black workout gear, hitting the court with mom and dad. “Two hours later, we’re done. My parents are really good. When they play together they win club championships. So, my boyfriend and I went down a number of times. But really fun,” she says in the video. “Playing pickleball with my parents ☀️ #pickleball #pickleballhighlights #ditl #dayinthelife,” she captioned the post. Here’s how Bosworth is fit, happy, and thriving in her 30s.

1. No Dairy

Dairy,Free,Grunge,Rubber,Stamp,On,White,,Vector,IllustrationShutterstock

Bosworth enjoys a “breakfast salad” made with eggs, broccoli, and avocado for breakfast, and tries to maintain a mostly balanced diet. "I cut dairy out of my diet recently,” she told Well+Good. “At first it was for weight loss, and it has actually turned out to really help my headaches, brain fog, and bloating. Every once in a while, I have a cheat day just like everyone else."

2. Natural Beauty

Bosworth is gentle with her approach to beauty. “So I’m at the place where I really have to do a lot of preventative care,” she told Stylecaster. “There’s also Suppin, a Japanese philosophy and lifestyle. It really means so much to me because it really falls in line with how I approach beauty. It’s about true, natural beauty; beauty from within. It’s about loving who you really are, what you really look like and trying not to change that too much.”

3. Skincare First

Bosworth likes to keep her makeup simple and natural. “Having really beautiful glowing skin is my number one priority when it comes to my beauty routine, and then eyelashes and brows after that,” she told Well+Good. “So, I like to use a nice thick foundation to even out my skin tone.”

4. New York Workouts

Bosworth works out six days a week. "It makes me feel clear-minded,” she told Well+Good. “I do personal training at Soho Strength Lab, and then a couple of days a week I go to the Nicole Winhoffer method. I love her, she's amazing. Best class in New York City, hands down. It's 35 minutes of toning and then dance. It is so fun. She has the best personality. She has a cult following.”

5. LA Workouts

Bosworth enjoys cardio sessions and SLT. “The ultimate day off would be spent with friends and family,” she told Stylecaster. “I love to get in a great high-intense-speed cardio workout. I either take classes at studios or I go to the gym and run on the treadmill. My favorite workout is probably SLT—strengthen, lengthen, tone; a combo of cardio and Pilates. In L.A. it’s called the Studio (MDR).”

Tennis pro Genie Bouchard got a chance to experience the fresh air and beautiful scenery in Aspen, Colorado. Bouchard, 29, shared a reel of herself wearing gray workout pants and a black jacket, hiking in the cold outdoors. “Aspen in fall,” she captioned the post. “The best,” commented boyfriend Jack Brinkley-Cook. Bouchard is just one of many tennis players making the jump to pickleball—here’s what her training looks like, and what’s next for the athlete.

1. Pro Pickleball

Pickle,Ball,Paddle,And,Pickle,Ball,On,Court,With,NetShutterstock

Bouchard is a member of the Professional Pickleball Association for the 2024 season, and admits to being nervous. "I'm like that kid going to a new school who goes to the cafeteria and doesn't have any friends or know where anything is," she told ESPN. "I'm completely nervous. I'm a wreck. I am nervous for playing, of course, because this is so new to me. But beyond that, I'm definitely anxious a little bit and wondering what it's going to be like walking around a tournament or a locker room… I have zero expectations at this point. I want to get my bearings. I want to just not embarrass myself, maybe that's a good goal, and just get the hang of things on court and off. I want to have fun, try my best and really just not be too hard on myself."

2. Learning To Play

Ever the perfectionist, Bouchard obsessed about her Pickleball form until she was told to relax. "I'm like, 'Is my form good? Is this good? Is that good?” she told ESPN. “What drill should we work on for this shot?' I was going overboard, and this guy was like, 'Whoa, you're so unnecessarily detail-oriented about this.' He literally told me to just go to a pickup game and just play and said that's how I was going to improve the most."

3. Weights before Dates

Bouchard lifts weights as part of her workout routine, and frequently posts pictures of her training on social media. “Weights before dates,” she captioned an Instagram picture of herself doing a strength training session at the gym. “When our bones are put under stress from the force of resistance training over a long period of time, they grow stronger and increase in density to withstand the extra load and force,” personal trainer Tom Mans tells The Independent. “Resistance training increases bone density and therefore decreases the chances of women and men developing osteoporosis later on in life.”

4. Eggs Every Day

Chicken,Eggs,In,Carton,Box,On,Wooden,Table.Shutterstock

Bouchard usually has eggs for breakfast. “Eggs are a good source of protein (both whites/yolk). They also contain heart-healthy unsaturated fats and are a great source of important nutrients, such as vitamin B6, B12 and vitamin D,” says Kurt Hong, MD, an internal medicine specialist at Keck Medicine of USC. “As with any food, the key here is consumption in moderation.”

5. Think Positive Thoughts

Bouchard is a firm believer in the power of positive thought. “I always try to remind myself that things can happen when you least expect them to,” she told SELF. “You just have to keep working hard and suddenly things will click. That’s the experience that I’ve had in my career. I trust that if I’m doing the right things and I’m on the right path, even if times are tough, eventually I’ll reach my goal.”

Ambyr Childers is known for her roles in You and Ray Donovan. She also hosts her own podcast, Happily Ever Ambyr. Last month, Childers played in a charity pickleball game, and shared some highlights on Instagram. She captioned the post, “Played my first pickleball game today at the @changeyourbrainfoundation tournament, and teamed up with my dear friend, @doc_amen . A fantastic day of laughter, new friends, and supporting mental health with the Lemons Foundation @lemonsbytay. Let’s rally for resilience, lighting the way with love and support for everyone battling mental health issues.” How does she stay so fit?

1. She Plays Pickleball

As you can see from her recent post, Childers likes to play pickleball. Renown Health states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Hitting and receiving the ball can help improve your hand-eye coordination and balance. It helps your mind stay sharp, supports cognitive function and builds footwork skills. Moving your whole body during the game allows your joints to stay flexible.”

2. She is Grateful

Childers is very grateful. She talks about this on Instagram. Childers shared some things that she is grateful for in the caption of this post. “3 things to be grateful for: • the person you are becoming, • how far you have come, • what you already have.”

3. She Does Planks

Childers has amazing abs. She shared some of her favorite core workouts in this Instagram video. One thing she does is planks. Allina Health states that planks have a lot of benefits. “The plank is a simple, effective bodyweight exercise that strengthens your core, as well as muscles in your upper and lower body. Core muscles, which include your back and abdomen, help you maintain posture and balance as you stand, sit and move throughout the day.”

4. She Weight Trains

Ambyr.ChildersAmber Childers/Instagram

In the previous Instagram video, Childers is seen doing shoulder presses with weights. The Mayo Clinic states that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories. Strength training can reduce the signs and symptoms of many chronic conditions, such as arthritis, back pain, obesity, heart disease, depression and diabetes.”

5. She Golfs

Childers shared this video on Instagram of herself golfing. She captioned the post, “Mama still has it!” Randa reports that golf has a lot of benefits. “Golf can help prevent and treat 40 major chronic diseases Golf can help strength and balance, improve quality of life and provide aerobic exercise On a regular 18-hole course, most players will walk between four and five miles, burning up to 2,000 calories.”

WNBA star Jewell Loyd doesn’t cut any corners when it comes to her workouts. Loyd, 30, shared a video of herself working out in the gym in black sweatpants and a purple shirt, sparring and flexing her biceps. “Back with my guy!!! @foxholecoach #5amclub,” she captioned the high-energy post. Loyd was dubbed the “Gold Mamba” by Kobe Bryant himself—here’s how Loyd is continuing on his work, and what her own training looks like.

1. Meditation and Workouts

Loyd starts the day with meditation and taking her dogs for a one-mile walk. “When it comes to breakfast, I do not hold back,” she told Women’s Health. “I love breakfast, and unless I’m just having a smoothie, I go all out. I love pancakes and waffles, and if it’s game day, I add bacon and eggs. I’ll never skip breakfast. Post-breakfast, I get training. Sometimes I’ll lift weights in the morning, but usually, it’s basketball first to just kind of get my body moving. If I’m starting with lifting, I try to get a nice sweat and get tempos in my lifts, but it doesn’t take me super long to get warm. I always focus most on my shoulders.”

2. PickleBall Star

Loyd has developed an appreciation for pickleball, and even takes part in tournaments. “I start with basketball workouts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays,” she told Women’s Health. “On Tuesdays and Thursdays, it’s pickleball, and that’s a two-hour workout of technique stuff. Lately, I’ve been playing pickleball every day, getting ready for a tournament. My body’s been adjusting to a different sport, but it’s been fun. I grew up playing tennis, so I’m used to the spinning motions, but there really are different muscles being used compared to basketball.”

3. Gold Mamba Workout

Dubbed “Gold Mamba” by Kobe Bryant himself, Loyd created the Gold Mamba Workout to help aspiring ballers in his honor. "Kobe had a lot of information and, in his latest years after he retired, he did a great job of giving that information to the next generation of athletes, regardless of the sport they were in," Loyd told Business Insider. "For me, understanding that and knowing that I have information, I want to do as much as I can to give that back to the next generation."

4. Sleep Habits

Loyd tries to practice good sleep habits. “I'm fairly consistent, but depending on my workout schedule, my sleep fluctuates a little bit,” she told Women’s Health. “I obviously sleep better when I don't have to wake up for that 5:00 lift. But sometimes even when I don’t have to get up that early my sleep is still off because maybe I played an extra game of pick-up the day before or did something else and didn’t recover enough.”

5. Professional Training For All

Loyd says the 94FEETOFGAMEAPP allows Kobe’s legacy to be passed down and appreciated even by people who couldn’t afford one-on-one training. "This app allows people who really don't have resources or don't have a personal trainer to get professional training and advice — the real stuff and not just stuff from some people who don't know anything about the league," Loyd told Business Insider. "They're getting real access to Phil [Handy]— who's been in the league and has trained everyone from Kobe to Kawhi [Leonard] to Kyrie [Irving] — and real information, which is hard to get sometimes, especially for females. So allowing them to have that all in one place in an app is pretty amazing.”

The Bachelorette star JoJo Fletcher is just the latest celebrity to display just how much they love to play Pickleball. Fletcher, 33, shared a video of herself jumping out of bed to put on a blue skirt and white shirt, ready to play the game. “If you text me to play Pickleball, I will literally drop everything and be there in 5,” she captioned the funny post. “Weird I’m still waiting for a text back about dinner…?” commented husband Jordan Rodgers. Here’s how Fletcher stays fit, healthy, and beautiful.

1. Gym and Dog Walking

Fletcher was very active growing up, so fitness is a way of life for the star. “Growing up I played basketball and volleyball, and I ran track," she told Us Weekly. "Now I go to the gym a couple times a week. I do a lot of cardio, like the StairMaster and spin classes. I’ll take my dog [Jackson, a German shorthaired pointer] to the park and run with him. That counts!”

2. Yummy Food and Balance

JoJo.FletcherJoJo Fletcher/Instagram

Fletcher is a big foodie, but understands the importance of balance. “I love food too much. … I love Mexican food and truffle mac ’n’ cheese — anything cheesy!” she told Us Weekly. “I cook more now that I’m getting older, because you can’t eat out every single day. It’s easy to grill a piece of chicken and steam broccoli. I eat healthy, and then I’ll have a cheat day.”

3. Resistance Band Exercises

Fitness,Woman,Doing,Exercise,For,Glutes,With,Resistance,Band,OnShutterstock

Fletcher loves using Renoj resistance bands. “I've gotta say, although they look small, they are mighty and they give you a killer workout,” she told E! News. “I love these for so many reasons. They come in three different strengths. There's a light, medium, and heavy. These are also great if you travel a lot and you want to keep working out while you travel, these are tiny to fit in your bag.”

4. Skincare Over Makeup

Fletcher prefers a more low-key beauty routine these days. “I like to have days where I just let my skin breathe,” she told Allure. “More than anything, since I've been on the show, I've taken so much better care of my skin. I'm using oils, I'm hydrating more, and I'm always taking off my makeup before bed. I'm also doing facials. I've been trying to hydrate my hair, as well, doing certain hair masks or using hair oils."

5. Yoga Ball Workouts

Fletcher uses the Trideer yoga ball as part of her workout regimen. "These are great for crunches,” she told E! News. “I couldn't believe that this worked my hamstrings as crazy as it did. It looks so easy, but let me tell you my hamstrings are burning so much from being so sore. Killer workout. Try it and let me know. I love this ball. It comes with a little pump to inflate and deflate. You can deflate this before you travel to take this ball with you. You can target so many areas with this. This is also good for planks."

Mark Wahlberg isn’t slowing down in his 50s—if anything, he’s more shredded than ever. The actor, producer, and fitness enthusiast has built a reputation for his intense workouts and disciplined diet. In a recent TikTok, he gave fans a sneak peek at what’s fueling his muscle gains, from protein-packed meals to superfoods that keep him energized. He Eats Eggs

In his TikTok, Wahlberg is seen enjoying eggs with sausage. According to University Hospitals, eggs have a lot of health benefits. “At 70 calories each, eggs are a stellar protein source and a nutritional powerhouse. When eaten as part of a balanced diet, eggs provide multiple health benefits and are unlikely to pose a risk for heart disease.”

He Eats Salmon

Wahlberg is also seen enjoying salmon. The Mayo Clinic states that salmon has a lot of benefits. “Seafood in general, and salmon in particular, is a good choice for protein in the diet. If you can use salmon in place of a higher fat meat, that's even better. Salmon is probably best known for its omega-3 fatty acids. Called EPA and DHA, these fats may support heart health, brain function and healthy joints.”

He Likes Lemon Juice

Wahlberg is seen enjoying lemon juice in his TikTok. St. Vincent’s Medical Center states that lemon is very beneficial. “Weight-loss studies have also noted the effects of lemon. Drinking lemon water, which keeps you hydrated, increases your metabolism. One glass burns at least six calories. It can also help you feel full, making it easier to resist an urge to snack.”

He Likes Olive Oil

Another thing that Wahlberg is seen eating in his TikTok is olive oil. According to The Cleveland Clinic, olive oil has a lot of health benefits. “EVOO contains more than 20 types of polyphenols, a category of plant-based chemical compounds that help protect your heart and reduce inflammation throughout your body. Polyphenols are a type of antioxidant.”

He Gets Enough Protein

Protein is a big part of Wahlberg’s diet. He is not only seen eating high-protein foods like eggs and salmon in his TikTok, but he is also seen eating protein bars and powders. Piedmont states that protein is extremely important. “Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage and skin. In fact, your hair and nails are composed mostly of protein. Your body uses it to build and repair tissue.”

He Eats Blueberries

Wahlberg is also seen enjoying blueberries in his TikTok. The Cleveland Clinic states that blueberries have a lot of benefits. “Because blueberries are high in fiber and lower in sugar when compared to other fruits, they don’t cause your blood sugar to spike. For people with certain health conditions, scientists suspect this positive effect could aid with blood sugar management.”

Rita Ora isn’t just a chart-topping singer and TV star—she’s also serious about staying fit. Whether she’s lighting up the stage with hits like Black Widow or guessing contestants on The Masked Singer, Ora makes sure to carve out time for the gym. In a recent Instagram post captioned "Come to the gym with me," she gave fans an inside look at her workout routine, and it’s packed with powerhouse moves. From treadmill runs to Pilates, here’s exactly how she keeps her body in top shape.

She Strength Trains

Ora is seen using dumbbells and a weighted shoulder press machine in her Instagram video. Both of these are considered strength training exercises. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Runs On The Treadmill

The first thing Ora does at the gym is run on the treadmill. Healthy Talbot states that this has a lot of benefits. “Jogging or running on a treadmill helps to lose weight as well as burn fat quickly and effectively. Yet it’s easier on your knees and joints than outdoor running. This is the most popular advantage of working out on a treadmill workouts. Besides, these workouts burn calories at a faster rate than other aerobic exercises. To burn calories even faster, you just need to run longer and faster on the machine.”

She Does Tricep Exercises

Ora is seen doing tricep curls in her Instagram video. Gymless says that all tricep workouts have a lot of benefits. “Our triceps muscles enable us to extend the elbows, and it is a powerful extender of the forearm. Triceps are often used for pushing, which is utilized in our everyday activities such as opening a door, inserting a plug into a socket, or moving furniture across the room.“

She Does Leg Presses

Ora is also seen using the leg press machine in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic says that this exercise is very beneficial. “The leg press is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work a variety of muscles in the lower body. Specifically, the leg press targets the quadriceps muscles in the front of the thighs, the gluteal muscles in the buttocks, the hamstring muscles in the back of the thighs, and the calves, all in an integrated fashion. Since the leg press works several muscles at once, it's an especially efficient way to strengthen your lower body.”

She Does Pilates

Rita Ora on a Pilates reformer

The last workout that Ora is seen doing in her Instagram video is a session on the Pilates reformer. Pilates has a lot of health benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “Pilates is a form of strength training, but it doesn’t look like some of the other strength training exercises you might be familiar with. Pilates focuses more on improving muscle tone than building muscles, but the result is similar: greater stability and endurance. Pilates isn’t going to bulk you up — if anything, it’s designed to cultivate a longer, leaner look. Still, it can lay a strong physical foundation for muscle-building activities — and may even reduce your likelihood of injury.”
