Amber Pike is best known for being a contestant on Love Is Blind. She met her husband, Matt Barnett on the show. The couple hit the gym together five weeks ago, and shared a video on Instagram. Pike captioned the post, "I say hubs legs gave out at the end of leg day, hub says he was distracted by the view and tripped over himself… idk about yall but @barnettisblind brings the kind of gym partner motivation I live for." How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Amber Pike stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

She Works Out With Others

As you can see in her recent Instagram post, Pike likes working out with others. The CDC states that this has a lot of health benefits. "When you and your buddy encourage each other, you'll work harder (and get better results!). And there's nothing wrong with a little friendly competition. It's easier to try new things with a buddy. You may just find an activity you love, one that feels more like fun and less like a workout."

She Snowboards

As you can see in this Instagram post, Pike likes to snowboard to stay in shape. She captioned the video, "The journey's been pretty ugly and definitely painful, but I love learning a new skill. Hubby took me snowboarding my first time for Valentine's day 2020 and I was hooked… sore af but hooked. I honestly spend all year just waiting for the next time we can go snowboarding. What's your favorite hobby or something you wait all year for?"

She Focuses On Herself

Pike is all about focusing on herself when it comes to fitness. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. "Monday Motivation: There's never any traffic when you're staying in your own lane. Don't worry about other people, just stay focused on what keeps you happy and healthy. What have comparisons really ever done for you? Has following society's standards for success really ever made you happy?"

She Strength Trains

In the previous Instagram post, Pike is seen using a barbell. Strength training has a lot of benefits. The Mayo Clinic states, "Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age. Strength training can reduce the signs and symptoms of many chronic conditions, such as arthritis, back pain, obesity, heart disease, depression and diabetes."

She Does Squats

In the previous Instagram post, Pike is seen doing squats. These are a great exercise to do. Piedmont reports, "Squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you're working your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back. A squat has more overall benefits than, say, a bicep curl, which strengthens an isolated area."
