Madison Davenport is an actress and singer who last month released her awesome EP, Monster. Davenport shared a photo on Instagram at that time, and talked about the EP in the caption. “I wrote all of the songs in my E.P. completely separate from one another. 1. Monsters was written when I was 18 and battling personal monsters, and it was used by @rodriguez as the finale song in @duskelrey . 2. Danger Danger was the first song that really started my journey into music. I wrote it during Covid lockdown and then @thehaloboy and I brought it to life during our first session. 3. Dance with the devil was written beginning of 2023 during a late night session, and the feelings and words just flowed out of me after @thehaloboy started riffing on the piano. Again battling monsters. 4. All alone was the last of the songs but turned out to be very special to me! It started entirely different, less dark and more ‘light’… we had it finished, but ended up completely rewriting all the music to create something darker. When I listened to all of the songs together I knew they had to come together, they were all telling a part of my story. ‘Monsters’ come in many different shapes and sizes but we all have them. These are mine.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Madison Davenport stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Does Aerial Work

Davenport likes to do aerial exercises. She shared this video on Instagram of herself using the silks. Davenport captioned the post, “Started this whole aerial adventure about 2 months ago, and I’m so happy I did!! I see myself slowly but surely getting incrementally better. That first class was so hard and I couldn’t get myself upside down without assistance…part of me wanted to quit because I wasn’t instantly amazing😂But here I am still going at it, mess ups and all that jazz, and I feel so much stronger. Just remember that the first step, in anything you do, is always the hardest… and you will have failures. But keep going!!! Celebrate the small victories! You got this! We got this!”

2. She Does Planks

In this interview, Davenport revealed that she does planks to stay fit. Allina Health states that planks are a great workout. “The plank is a simple, effective bodyweight exercise that strengthens your core, as well as muscles in your upper and lower body. Core muscles, which include your back and abdomen, help you maintain posture and balance as you stand, sit and move throughout the day.”

3. She Swims

In January 2020, Davenport shared this photo on Instagram of herself scuba diving. She captioned the post, “Happy 2020 y’all! So going into the new year I’ve been thinking a lot about how thankful I am for this past decade. There have been ups and downs, but above all else, there has been growth. I’m so thankful for all of the opportunities that I’ve had, all the amazing people I’ve had the pleasure of working with(and learning from), and for all of my supporters! Thank you! My goals for the new year are to keep growing and moving forward, in life and in career.”

4. She Has Dogs

Davenport has two dogs. She shared this Christmas photo on Instagram of herself with her pups. Davenport captioned the post, “Got to spend the weekend with all my favorite humans and fur babies. Roxie and Zoey want you to know that you are loved… and also that this new year will bring exciting things! One of my presents this year was that I got a new song ready for release on January 13th! Cover reveal coming soon.”

5. She Speaks Out

Davenport speaks out about a lot of political issues. After Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, she spoke against this decision in this Instagram post. “I’m so disgusted and horrified that the same people who don’t want to protect children from school shootings are also claiming to care for ‘babies’ #mybodymychoice this fight is not over…#ruthbaderginsburg.”

1. She Has Workout Buddies

Madison is a big fan of the workout buddy system, a great way to make exercise fun and promote accountability. Amongst her go-to fitness friends? Bryce Hall and Timothy Brundige. "How do you find the right fit? Talk to friends, co-workers, neighbors, people at the gym. Or find a buddy closer to home: What about a hike with your dog, who thinks every walk is the best walk ever? Now quality time is also fitness time. Good move! You could also try a workout app to connect with friends and others that share your goals and can help keep you motivated," says the CDC.

2. She Plays Tennis

Lewis hits the court when she wants a social and fun workout. She shared this video on her Instagram story of herself playing tennis with a friend. Why is tennis a great workout? According to ACE Fitness it combines cardio and aerobic exercise, as there is a lot of running around, and is also great for hand-eye coordination. "While tennis provides numerous health benefits—improved aerobic fitness and anaerobic endurance, muscular fitness (grip strength and endurance), flexibility, multiple skill parameters (balance, speed, agility and quickness), reactivity, and power—it also is psychologically demanding," they say.

3. She Eats Lots of Veggies

MadisonLewis1Madison Lewis/Instagram

Madison eats a very healthy diet, sharing her meals on social media. One way she makes sure to get her veggies is by meal prepping. She divides up plastic containers, adding carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and celery, adding a little ranch dressing in the center. "A diet rich in vegetables and fruits can lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, prevent some types of cancer, lower risk of eye and digestive problems, and have a positive effect upon blood sugar, which can help keep appetite in check. Eating non-starchy vegetables and fruits like apples, pears, and green leafy vegetables may even promote weight loss. Their low glycemic loads prevent blood sugar spikes that can increase hunger," says Harvard Health.

4. She Allows Herself to Cheat

While she eats healthy most of the time, she indulge in lots of treats. Cookies, Oreos, hamburgers, banana pancakes, and tacos are a few of the guilty pleasures she has shared in her Instagram Stories. For a taco, "Choose any white fish you prefer, such as cod, tilapia, or haddock. Season the filets with a mix of spices (chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and black pepper, for example). Then either grill, bake, or pan-fry the fish in a nonstick pan with a little olive oil. For a vegetarian alternative, sauté a small amount of onion, then add the same spices to taste, sauté for a minute, then add a can of black beans. Simmer until the mixture thickens up a bit," says Harvard Health.

5. She Does Strength Training

Madison is one of the many stars who train at the celeb mecca gym The Dogpound. She regularly works out with their trainers, including Kirk Meyers, Josh Lopez, and Kevin Mejia. doing a variety of strength and weight training moves, using kettlebells, free weights and exercise bands. She also uses the elliptical machine.

1. She Went Plant-Based

madison-lecroy-1Madison LeCroy/Instagram

LeCroy is open about her wellness and diets. In 2020, she revealed on her Instagram stories that she had started adapting a plant-based diet, and that she’s seeing results. “I started this detox (plant based diet) at 128.7 and four days later, I’m 125.6,” she shared. “Most importantly, the body fat is down.” Among our favorites, in terms of their vitamins and fiber, are artichokes, asparagus, beets, bell peppers, broccoli, cabbage (all kinds), carrots, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, garlic, green beans, greens such as spinach, chard, collard or kale, leeks, mushrooms, onions, parsnips, peppers, radishes, rutabagas, shallots, squash, tomatoes and turnips.

2. She Works With A Trainer

madison-lecroy-2Madison LeCroy/Instagram

LeCroy works with personal trainer Gunnar Made, to help her stay in shape. She has posted several videos and reels on Instagram of herself working out with Made. In this reel, LeCroy is seen doing several different workouts, including squats, and using a stair climber. She captioned the reel, “I push my limit when I’m with you. @gunnarmade.”

3. She Has A Home Gym

While LeCroy does like to hit the gym, she doesn’t always have to leave her house to do so. She has a home gym, and has posted videos of herself doing different workouts while she’s there. LeCroy posted this series of photos and videos on Instagram of herself doing deadlifts with a barbell, using the elliptical, and doing hanging crunches. She captioned the post, “Girl, do it for you!” "Dumbbells come in various weights and designs. Choose weights that offer a little challenge and keep them handy. You could curl your way through a commercial break while watching television, or use first thing in the morning," says the Mayo Clinic. "Using resistance bands can improve your strength and muscle tone. They are lightweight, take up little space, and can easily travel with you for work or vacation."

4. She Circuit Trains

LeCroy revealed on this Instagram video that she loves to circuit train, at any time. Even when she has just finished up a cardio workout or a run. LeCroy posted this video on Instagram of herself doing a circuit after a run. In the video, she is seen jumping rope, doing squats, and mountain climbers. "The more vigorously you exercise, the more calories you'll burn — even if you increase intensity for just a few minutes at a time," says the Mayo Clinic. "Interval training enables you to complete an effective workout in less time than a standard cardiovascular workout. For example, you might complete a workout in about 15 to 20 minutes or less instead of 40 minutes."

5. She Works Out Her Lower Body

LeCroy says that she doesn’t skip leg day. She showed off her go-to lower body workout in this Instagram video. In the video, LeCroy is seen doing side walks, lunge walks, and donkey kicks, all with a resistance band. Our legs and backside contain some of the largest muscles in our body. As a result, they store—and burn—the most glycogen. An exercise routine that brings these large muscles into play will burn off larger amounts of glycogen, and cause a greater reduction in fat stores, than a routine in which you’re working your arms or chest, for example.

Singer and actress Taylor Momsen is preparing for a very busy 2024 with her band Pretty Reckless. Momsen, 30, shared a picture of herself at an Alo Yoga studio, posing in a two-piece black workout outfit. “Getting ready to rock #2024 next stop, recording studio,” she captioned the post. “You look amazing!” a fan commented. Here’s what Momsen’s diet and workout routine looks like, and what’s next for the star.

1. Dancing Queen

Momsen swears by walking to stay fit and healthy. “I used to dance. That's how I started out in fitness: I was in a dance company,” she told Teen Vogue. “When I moved to New York for the show, I stopped dancing and I hit a point where I was, like, I feel so lazy! So I started going to the gym a bit, and I like it. I don't exactly have a specific thing I'm doing yet, but I'm still trying to figure it out, working with a trainer and walking. My most routine workout would be just walking around New York. I try to walk more than I take trains or cabs, but it's hard in the cold.”

2. Healthy Food Choices

Red,Apple,With,Cut,Slice,And,Peanut,ButterShutterstock

Momsen doesn’t find it difficult to find healthy food options wherever she is. “It's not really hard. I pick up an apple and peanut butter,” she told Teen Vogue. “Fruits are such a great on-the-go food because you grab it and go. The only time I do eat unhealthy is when I'm actually flying. There aren't really any good options in the airport... I eat a lot of apples and peanut butter. The other one isn't super healthy: I dip animal crackers in water. Call it gross but that was my comfort food growing up.”

3. She’s a Musician

Momsen’s first love is music. “Personally, I don’t really consider myself an actress,” she tells ELLE. “I wouldn’t call it a passion. It was just something I always did, I kind of didn’t know anything differently and music was something I was always doing, just behind the scenes. I was always writing songs and playing instruments and singing and it just took. I had to get to a certain age and growing pains came with that because it’s all me. There’s no script. There’s no director. There’s no outside forces. It’s all me.”

4. Writing Process

Momsen finds the writing process difficult but rewarding. “Writing’s a very tortuous long process where you kind of sit inside your head and kill yourself for something,” she told Untitled. “If I knew where inspiration came from, I’d move there. My life, wherever…you get lucky. So whatever kind of mental space I’m in that time, I guess, is kind of where something will come from. I generally tend to write at night. You have to be lucky. You have to be at the right space at the right time at the right moment. There is no answer.”

5. No Regrets

Momsen has no regrets about her past. “There are little things where I’ll go, ‘That was a mistake,’” she told NYLON. “But leaving everything else behind and solely focusing on music was the best decision I ever made, so in the grand scheme of things, no regrets. I certainly look back and there's some questionable outfit choices. Everyone's got that; I just happened to be all over the internet all the time. But even then, I don't regret them, because I look back on them now and I go, ‘That's who I was.’ Now… I've grown up.”

Dagny is a very successful singer. She released her album last month. Dagny celebrated the release by sharing some photos from Italy on Instagram. She captioned the post, “I'm celebrating every release week in Italy from now on! 😎🍋 Thank you for all the love on ELLE! Ti amo!” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Dagny stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Takes Her Time

Dagny opened up about her career in an AMA on Reddit. She says that she takes her time when writing songs. “Creativity requires time. And sometimes that means time away from everyday life and all the little things that steals your attention - and so I try to allow myself that once in a while. To go somewhere, for example, and just be all-consumed by the writing (I'll put my phone away for a start and not make any other plans, he he). And I give myself time to actually listen to my own thoughts to try and understand what I'm actually feeling, however cliché that sound. I also try to remember why I do this: because I madly love music and I fall in love with songs by other artists, and so I'll just LISTEN to music without feeling like I have to perform in any way.”

2. She Enjoys What She Does

Dagny said in her AMA that music is a pick-me-up for her. “Regardless of what's going on in the world, in your mind or just generally in your life. Music is amazing like that. It can work as a pick-me-up, or a warm hug or it can make a special moment feel even more special. Whatever you might need in that moment. If people ever say that music isn't important, I know that's not true, because I know what it can do and I think life would be just a little bit less colorful without music in it. So I feel very lucky to be able to spend so much time singing, making and sharing music, and I feel very lucky to connect with people through it.”

3. She’s Inspired

10may97:,The,Spice,Girls,At,The,1997,Cannes,Film,Festival.Shutterstock

Dagny shared her influences in her AMA. “I'm a child of the 90s, so it's probably not so surprising that I LOVED the Spice Girls! That's how I go into pop. I would always dress up as Mel B and dance around the living room. During my upbringing and teenage years, I think I've been influenced by different artists at different times. Eva Cassidy made me pick up the guitar around 14-15 years old, I adore her voice and all the emotions in it. Then, I had a long period of Feist, a Canadian singer. She's just so fun, cool and quirky - I was heavily inspired by her in my early 20s. More recent years, I'd probably have to highlight Robyn as an inspiration. I actually first started listening to her because her name kept coming up in conversations in studio - then I became a MASSIVE fan. She's amazing. I love a lot of music that's a little bit "left of centre", so generally I listen to a lot of indie bands.”

4. She Works Hard

Dagny makes sure to work hard, and shared the process behind her album in her AMA. “When making the album, I took lots of songs and productions that I loved and really zoomed in on the details. I wanted it to feel like an album - a journey - not just 12 songs that was randomly put together. For me, that was a really exciting process and I think I learned and grew a lot during those months in the studio. It was challenging, as I'd only done singles up until that point, but it felt very musical and I feel it gave the music more layers and depth in a way. When it comes to writing: some songs are just fun and energizing to write, whilst others feels so important but also heartbreaking to write. Used To You was kinda heartbreaking, but I love that song so much. Backbeat was just fun and carefree and vibey!”

5. She Loosens Up

Dagny revealed to BBC that she makes sure to let loose when recording. "I guess what happens is that you loosen up a little bit," she says. "We decided to do an EP without really putting too much thought into where it was going to lead us - but just more because it was fun and we wanted to just be in the studio and play music together."

Rita Ora isn’t just a chart-topping singer and TV star—she’s also serious about staying fit. Whether she’s lighting up the stage with hits like Black Widow or guessing contestants on The Masked Singer, Ora makes sure to carve out time for the gym. In a recent Instagram post captioned "Come to the gym with me," she gave fans an inside look at her workout routine, and it’s packed with powerhouse moves. From treadmill runs to Pilates, here’s exactly how she keeps her body in top shape.

She Strength Trains

Ora is seen using dumbbells and a weighted shoulder press machine in her Instagram video. Both of these are considered strength training exercises. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Runs On The Treadmill

Rita snaps a selfie on the treadmill

The first thing Ora does at the gym is run on the treadmill. Healthy Talbot states that this has a lot of benefits. “Jogging or running on a treadmill helps to lose weight as well as burn fat quickly and effectively. Yet it’s easier on your knees and joints than outdoor running. This is the most popular advantage of working out on a treadmill workouts. Besides, these workouts burn calories at a faster rate than other aerobic exercises. To burn calories even faster, you just need to run longer and faster on the machine.”

She Does Tricep Exercises

Rita Ora working her triceps

Ora is seen doing tricep curls in her Instagram video. Gymless says that all tricep workouts have a lot of benefits. “Our triceps muscles enable us to extend the elbows, and it is a powerful extender of the forearm. Triceps are often used for pushing, which is utilized in our everyday activities such as opening a door, inserting a plug into a socket, or moving furniture across the room.“

She Does Leg Presses

Ora is also seen using the leg press machine in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic says that this exercise is very beneficial. “The leg press is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work a variety of muscles in the lower body. Specifically, the leg press targets the quadriceps muscles in the front of the thighs, the gluteal muscles in the buttocks, the hamstring muscles in the back of the thighs, and the calves, all in an integrated fashion. Since the leg press works several muscles at once, it's an especially efficient way to strengthen your lower body.”

She Does Pilates

The last workout that Ora is seen doing in her Instagram video is a session on the Pilates reformer. Pilates has a lot of health benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “Pilates is a form of strength training, but it doesn’t look like some of the other strength training exercises you might be familiar with. Pilates focuses more on improving muscle tone than building muscles, but the result is similar: greater stability and endurance. Pilates isn’t going to bulk you up — if anything, it’s designed to cultivate a longer, leaner look. Still, it can lay a strong physical foundation for muscle-building activities — and may even reduce your likelihood of injury.”

I wear 10 pound weights on my ankles while I’m working just so that as I’m moving during the day I’m constantly building muscle. It’s not great for your back but I’m doing it anyway. I do a booty workout thing that I just did for Shape, which was really fun. And I do Zumba. I have DVDs and I dance around like a crazy person in my house.”

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.
