Madison LeCroy is shaping up in 2024 – in her workout gear. In a new social media post, the Southern Charm star shows off her washboard abs in bike shorts and a sports bra while revealing her workout and self-care routine. “A little glimpse into my at home workout! If you don’t follow me on tik tok come follow me for my workouts!” she wrote in the caption. “I'm over eating healthy and working out every day. But we're going to keep going. We're going to be strong, we're going to be healthy. That's the main key for all of this,” she adds in the video. Here is everything you need to know about her plan to shape up.

1. Running

Madison starts her workout with a vigorous run on the treadmill. She starts by running sideways and then spends a lot of time running at a fast speed. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

2. Ab Work

Next, Madison moves on to an intense ab workout. A few of the moves she does to strengthen her midsection are crunches and side planks. Doing exercises like crunches and planks are great for building muscle in your abs. However, if your goal is to flatten your abs, you will have to change your diet. “Abs are made in the kitchen,” is a regular quote given by fitness pros.

3. Sauna

A,Beautiful,Woman,Wearing,A,White,Towel,Takes,A,Sauna:Shutterstock

“Then we are going to move on to the sauna for 45 minutes at 175 degrees,” Madison says. “A little touch of hell. I say, it's really good for you. So that's what this year is about.” Should you take a dry sauna? While some claim the health benefits of saunas are plentiful, including detoxification, increased metabolism, weight loss, increased blood circulation, pain reduction, antiaging, skin rejuvenation, improved cardiovascular function, improved immune function, improved sleep, stress management, and relaxation, there isn’t a lot of research backing up the claims.

4. Cold Plunge

Outdoor,Cold,Plunge,Ice,BathShutterstock

Next up for Madison? “Move down to the cold plunge for three minutes at around 42 degrees,” she says. There is limited research supporting the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increased focus, improved sleep, and decreased inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes basic post-sport recovery.

5. AMPAP

Madison maintains she transformed her body from skinny to strong in just 6 weeks with the help of GunnarMade. One of the techniques she relies on? AMRAP – or as many reps as possible – using dumbbells, bands, a jump rope, and mat. Each week adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity, according to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.

1. She Gets Skincare Help

LeCroy has amazing skin, and she needs to take care of it. She shared her secrets to New Beauty. LeCroy says that she struggles with rosacea and sees a professional to help her with this. “I go to a place here in Charleston called Ella Ora and see Kristen Joy VanGuilder who people come from all over to see, I’m lucky to get an appointment. She has me on MBR products, it’s a German brand. I have suffered with rosacea recently and she has me on all these calming products. I’ve had to chill out on my workouts and the red wine unfortunately because of it, but I do use all the MBR products religiously.”

2. She Removes Her Makeup

Being on TV, LeCroy has to wear a lot of makeup, and she makes sure to get it all off. She shared her tips to New Beauty, “I wash my face at night with the cleanser ($98) and do my healing mask ($330) and wake up to no texture and just radiant skin, which is hard when you are wearing like all this T.V. makeup, and it can get a little congested. I always follow up with the EltaMD Light Tinted Susncreen ($35).”

3. She Gets Facials

LeCroy tells New Beauty that she likes to have facials done. “Let me tell you the one facial that I just did because it’s recent, but it was to help with rosacea. Ella Ora hooked me up with a DyeVL laser treatment. It wasn’t painful and I didn’t have any downtime, so I didn’t look crazy for days or anything like that. It just smooths out the skin and is good for rosacea. I’ve been doing that and then just your signature facials.”

4. She Does Quick Workouts

1. She Went Plant-Based

madison-lecroy-1Madison LeCroy/Instagram

LeCroy is open about her wellness and diets. In 2020, she revealed on her Instagram stories that she had started adapting a plant-based diet, and that she’s seeing results. “I started this detox (plant based diet) at 128.7 and four days later, I’m 125.6,” she shared. “Most importantly, the body fat is down.” Among our favorites, in terms of their vitamins and fiber, are artichokes, asparagus, beets, bell peppers, broccoli, cabbage (all kinds), carrots, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, garlic, green beans, greens such as spinach, chard, collard or kale, leeks, mushrooms, onions, parsnips, peppers, radishes, rutabagas, shallots, squash, tomatoes and turnips.

2. She Works With A Trainer

madison-lecroy-2Madison LeCroy/Instagram

LeCroy works with personal trainer Gunnar Made, to help her stay in shape. She has posted several videos and reels on Instagram of herself working out with Made. In this reel, LeCroy is seen doing several different workouts, including squats, and using a stair climber. She captioned the reel, “I push my limit when I’m with you. @gunnarmade.”

3. She Has A Home Gym

While LeCroy does like to hit the gym, she doesn’t always have to leave her house to do so. She has a home gym, and has posted videos of herself doing different workouts while she’s there. LeCroy posted this series of photos and videos on Instagram of herself doing deadlifts with a barbell, using the elliptical, and doing hanging crunches. She captioned the post, “Girl, do it for you!” "Dumbbells come in various weights and designs. Choose weights that offer a little challenge and keep them handy. You could curl your way through a commercial break while watching television, or use first thing in the morning," says the Mayo Clinic. "Using resistance bands can improve your strength and muscle tone. They are lightweight, take up little space, and can easily travel with you for work or vacation."

4. She Circuit Trains

LeCroy revealed on this Instagram video that she loves to circuit train, at any time. Even when she has just finished up a cardio workout or a run. LeCroy posted this video on Instagram of herself doing a circuit after a run. In the video, she is seen jumping rope, doing squats, and mountain climbers. "The more vigorously you exercise, the more calories you'll burn — even if you increase intensity for just a few minutes at a time," says the Mayo Clinic. "Interval training enables you to complete an effective workout in less time than a standard cardiovascular workout. For example, you might complete a workout in about 15 to 20 minutes or less instead of 40 minutes."

5. She Works Out Her Lower Body

LeCroy says that she doesn’t skip leg day. She showed off her go-to lower body workout in this Instagram video. In the video, LeCroy is seen doing side walks, lunge walks, and donkey kicks, all with a resistance band. Our legs and backside contain some of the largest muscles in our body. As a result, they store—and burn—the most glycogen. An exercise routine that brings these large muscles into play will burn off larger amounts of glycogen, and cause a greater reduction in fat stores, than a routine in which you’re working your arms or chest, for example.

How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.

She’s Consistent

Last year, Culpo was preparing for her wedding. She told E! News that she made sure to be consistent with her wellness in order to prepare. “Really trying to dial in [on] what I eat, how I workout, the workouts that I do. Trying to get them in consistently because you only get married once and I want to feel my best. But this past season it was just hard being so far away from my normal routine and where I typically live."

She Keeps Her Skin Healthy While Traveling

Culpo has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it, even while traveling. “I don't wear any makeup when traveling," she says to Travel + Leisure. "That's one rule because I do feel like you will have a higher chance of breaking out if you are wearing a full face of makeup. A few things I always have with me is some sort of a spray. I love Dr. Barbara Sturm or Caudalie or La Mer. I also absolutely love traveling with a makeup wipe, the Neutrogena wipes are great. Something to just take off the sweat you build up.”

She Keeps Her Skincare Simple

Culpo shared her skincare routines with Byrdie. She says that she keeps her morning and night routine simple. “I am always trying out new products, so what I gravitate toward is often changing. At night, I usually use an oil and a serum. Right now, I love the Clarins Double Serum. In the morning, I use a Vitamin C serum and an SPF, and, typically, I just rinse my skin with warm water instead of using a cleanser. It is something I swear by—it allows for the oils on my skin from sleeping to absorb naturally.”

She Uses Products With Vitamins

Culpo shared some of her favorite skincare products with Byrdie. She says that she uses ones that have vitamins in them. “I have noticed a huge difference in my skin with vitamin C and E. I love the Good Janes H2OMyGod Moisturizer—it's sort of an all-in-one moisturizer that has vitamin C and collagen peptides. As for vitamin E, I actually just purchase the oil from the drugstore. It is super cheap and great to put on any red marks I may get from an occasional breakout. The healing process is so much quicker when I am using Vitamin E oil.”

She Packs Healthy Snacks

Culpo makes sure to eat healthy. She shared some of the snacks she packs with her with Travel + Leisure. "I love the Kind bars. I love any sort of nuts, to be honest with you. They are a go-to snack for me. I would say Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% and some almonds would be perfect! Also, electrolytes to stay hydrated or some sort of collagen beauty powder or something."

Abigail Ratchford’s amazing body has helped her become one of the most famous models on the internet. The 32-year-old, who boasts over 9.1 million followers on Instagram alone, attributes her measurement-defying body to a few simple habits. Here is everything she does to stay fit at 32.

She Follows 4 Diet Rules

Abigail swears that abiding by simple rules helps her stay in shape. “I can’t diet. That just doesn’t work for me,” she told New Beauty. “I started to be healthier by first cutting out soda. Then, I stopped eating after 7 p.m. Finally, I started really watching my portions so I was eating fewer calories every day. And water—lots and lots of water.”

She UsesMyFitnessPal

Abigail explains being accountable for what she eats is crucial. While it’s not “rocket science,” she does use the MyFitnessPal app to track her eating. “I’m the type of person who likes to eat what I want. The app can help anyone do that—you can still eat great food, you just eat less of it,” she added New Beauty.

Pilates

Abigail is a fan of Pilates. “Group workout classes are so big right now, but I always get nervous around other people in settings like that. I have to go at my own pace without a bunch of distractions so, for me, Pilates with a one-on-one instructor works best. It’s not cheap, but then you also aren’t tempted to skip,” she said She added to Men’s Fitness via Muscle & Fitness that the workout “keeps you long and lean” — and the Mayo Clinic agrees. They say it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Balanced Diet

“I love green juices and smoothies. Sometimes I’ll put some protein powder in the morning—I feel like the mix of vegetables, and vitamins and stuff that’s in them, really gives me a lot of energy in the morning. I love BBQ food—my ultimate cheat is a pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and macaroni and cheese from this great place in LA,” she told Men’s Fitness.

Ratchford also lifts weights. “Initially, I made the mistake that a lot of girls do and I was only doing cardio. I just really didn’t see too much change in my body. Develop strong bones

Manage your weight

Enhance your quality of life

Manage chronic conditions

Sharpen your thinking skills
