1. She’s not afraid to indulge sometimes

She’s not against the occasional splurge, made clear in this joke post on Instagram of her walking confidently, captioned “me walking into anywhere with chips and queso.” Same girl, same. According to the Cleveland Clinic, “to maintain health, eat healthy food 80% of the time, and allow yourself 20% wiggle room (practicing portion control). To improve health, eat healthy foods 90% of the time, and allow yourself 10% wiggle room.”

2. She lifts weights

She posted clips of herself on Instagram, showing her floor workout routine and weight lifting. According to the Mayo Clinic, “research shows that a single set of 12 to 15 repetitions with the proper weight can build muscle efficiently in most people and can be as effective as three sets of the same exercise. As long as you take the muscle you are working to fatigue — meaning you can't lift another repetition — you are doing the work necessary to make the muscle stronger.”

3. She spends time with her fur baby

My puppy only gets good food as well.” According to News in Health, “interacting with animals has been shown to decrease levels of cortisol (a stress-related hormone) and lower blood pressure. Other studies have found that animals can reduce loneliness, increase feelings of social support, and boost your mood”

She posted on Instagram, “Monday. 7:15 AM. Tired. Bed was comfortable. But I got there. I pushed myself with the help of @kalfit__ and the rest of the @f45_training_westerville crew. I’ve got big big plans for my fitness right now and my community is exactly what I need to get there,” showing her dedication to her health and wellness.
