Maia Mitchell is working out outdoors – in her exercise clothes. In a new social media post the Good Trouble star shows off her amazing body in workout gear while in Australia. “Home is where the critters will get ya,” she captioned the Instagram post with her 10 million followers. “So beautiful,” one of them commented. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Snowboarding

Maia loves outdoor workouts – like snowboarding. “Shred,” she captioned a post. According to the University of Rochester, snowboarding, like skiing, is a great cardiovascular workout. “Because they are also weight-bearing exercises, they strengthen your bones as they tone your muscles,” they say. “Cardiovascular or aerobic exercises also work to reduce your risk for chronic diseases, and lower blood pressure. They also help you maintain a healthy body weight. Through regular aerobic exercise like skiing and snowboarding, you lower your risk of developing conditions like diabetes and heart disease, having a stroke, and perhaps even getting cancer.”

2. Surfing

In her recent series of snaps, Maia shows off her surfing skills. According to the Australian government’s Better Health, surfing provides many health benefits including cardiovascular fitness from paddling, shoulder and back strength, which also strengthens from the paddling, and leg and core strength. “Once you’re standing up on the board, strong legs and a strong core will keep you up,” they say.

3. Coffee

Maia enjoys the perks of coffee. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

4. Walking

Maia also gets her steps in by going on long walks and often takes a dog with her. “Some bits and bobs, friends who are dogs,” she captioned a post. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

5. Manifestation

Maia practices manifestation."Lately, I've been doing a gratitude mantra, which sounds silly," she says. "I'm a big believer in the Law of Attraction, and I think gratitude is the key to that. I think that's the key to everything,” she told InStyle.

Jessica Biel is wishing her husband a happy birthday – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the actress shows off her amazing body during a couple’s workout session while honoring Justin Timberlake on his special day. “I ALWAYS got you. Happy birthday, babe,” she captioned the Instagram video, filled with various memories of the couple. How does Jessica stay in shape? Here is everything you need to know about her diet and workout routine.

1. She Is “Aware” of Her Body

Jessica,Biel,At,The,Los,Angeles,Premiere,Of,'trolls,BandJessica Biel/Instagram

"I'm aware of how my muscles feel, what it feels like when anything changes. Playing sports and being physical helps me maintain that sort of relationship with my own body. So when I'm doing something, or performing in a physical role, I understand that," Jessica explained to ESPN.

2. She Has a Workout Buddy

Jessica, who trains with celebrity body guru Ben Bruno, has the perfect workout buddy. “Please excuse the photobomb from @justintimberlake while @jessicabiel casually knocks out a super-impressive set of single leg squats,” Bruno captioned one video of their workout. “We’ll give Justin a pass since he’s doing sled rows with four plates on the sled and making it look easy. They’ve definitely gotta be one of the fittest couples around, and they always work hard in the gym while also making sure to keep it fun. Very cool.” “Swolemates,” she captioned another couple’s workout clip.

3. She Does Yoga

Young,Pregnant,Woman,Doing,Fitness,And,Yoga,Excercises,On,BlueShutterstock

Jessica is a yogi. "I started getting into yoga about 10 years ago through a close friend who was an instructor. At first I felt like, ‘I can’t do all those crazy poses,’ and I still can’t, but I’m not competing with anyone. I want to demystify yoga and bring it out to more women and men in the community, where it doesn’t have to be intimidating,” Jessica told Gaiam about her love of the practice.

4. She Avoids Gluten, Wheat, and Dairy

While Jessica is “not all-out anything," she tells Los Angeles Times, she does avoid a few types of food. "Honestly, I just feel better when I don't have gluten or wheat or dairy," she said. "My digestion is better, I feel better, I have more energy." What does she eat in a day? “We’ll start off with Paleo pancakes with some cashew or almond butter on top with some local honey, and we like chicken-apple sausage, and then maybe a fresh juice from the Juicero machine, which we love, we have some green tea with honey—that’s a pretty normal morning for me,” she said. She eats salad with greens from her garden with quinoa or a veggie burger from Whole Foods and nuts for lunch. One of her favorite snacks is gluten-free pretzels with dairy-free almond 'cheese' dip. “And then dinner, if we’re home, it would be cooking up some salmon, some rice, grilling some vegetables, or going out and having some chicken, something a little heartier for dinner,” she added

5. She Hikes

Jessica loves to hike. "I've learned that I can push forward, which was exciting for me,” she told Glamour about hiking Mount Kilimanjaro. “When you get out into the wilderness and strip [away] all of the stuff in your everyday life, you really gain a great respect for your own life, simply as it is. Needing things starts to feel like, Oh, I kind of have everything, don't I? It's pretty great."

Mishael Morgan is a very successful actress. She’s best known for her role in The Young & The Restless. In 2022, Morgan became the first black woman to win the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Last month, Morgan shared a selfie on Instagram of herself in workout gear. She captioned the post, “Did not wanna hit the weights this morning, but it’s done and I feel so good! Go get it.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Mishael Morgan stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Loves HIIT

High,Intensity,Interval,Training,,Hiit,,Crossword,Against,Textured,Handmade,Paper,Shutterstock

Morgan shared some of her favorite things in an interview with Soap Opera Digest. In it, she also revealed her favorite workout. “HIIT, which stands for high-intensity interval training. It’s the only exercise program that works for my body. I love this workout because it’s fast and motivating and gives the maximum burn.”

2. She Doesn’t Strive For Perfection

Mishel.Morgan.2_573c15Mishel Morgan/Instagram

Morgan doesn’t put pressure on herself to be perfect. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “There is beauty in the imperfections of our lives. Easter kinda snuck up on me this year and I had the most last minute Easter dinner of my life. It felt chaotic and crazy, but everyone including the kiddos pitched in. When I took a breath and looked around, I thought nothing was planned, but it’s just so beautiful. Definitely one for the memory books.”

3. She Swims

Mishel.Morgan.3Mishel Morgan/Instagram

Morgan likes to swim to stay in shape. In this Instagram post from a vacation, she is seen wading in the water. According to The Mayo Clinic, swimming has a lot of benefits. “Aquatic exercise is a fun way to focus on fitness in a gravity-reduced environment. The buoyancy of water is easier on the body and provides support for people with weakness, balance problems or pain. Additionally, the viscosity of water slows movement and provides resistance during exercise, making aquatic exercise a great workout.”

4. She Hikes

Mishel.Morgan.4Mishel Morgan/Instagram

Morgan also likes to go for hikes. In the previous Instagram post, she was seen hiking with friends. The National Parks Service states that hiking doesn’t just have physical benefits, but mental ones. “Being in nature can boost your mood and improve mental health. Spending quality time in the great outdoors reduces stress, calms anxiety, and can lead to a lower risk of depression, according to a study done by researchers at Stanford University. In addition to having mental health benefits, being outdoors opens up your senses to your surroundings and improves your sensory perception. Taking in the sights, smells, and feelings of nature has so many health benefits it can even be prescribed by a doctor.”

5. She Strength Trains

Mishel.Morgan.5_353636Mishel Morgan/Instagram

As you can see from her Instagram post, Morgan likes to weight train. Beaumont states that weight training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training helps you lose weight and keep it off by building muscle tissue. The more muscle mass you have, the higher your metabolic rate tends to be. More muscle also helps your body burn more fat than muscle, which is important if you want to lose weight and keep your strength. So, if you build muscle, you can speed up your metabolism and burn more fat when you exercise. The faster your body burns calories, the more calories it will burn each day.”

Elizabeth Marks is a former army sergeant. She is also a swimmer who competes in the Paralympics. Marks will be competing in Paris, and shared a set of photos from the trials on Instagram. She captioned it, “Late to announcement post (as usual), but for a reason. Paris 2024 ♥️. Incredibly grateful to be named to my 3rd Paralympic Team. Today feels strange. I’m grateful, excited and sad. To my teammates that won’t physically be in Paris I will do my best to make you proud. Thank you for pushing me and supporting me everyday. I’m so fortunate to have y’all in my life. Congratulations to the 2024 Paris team, excited to see all of you thrive.”

1. She Hikes

Marks likes to go for hikes. She shared these photos on Instagram of herself and her friends hiking in Alaska. Harvard Health states that being outside has a lot of mental benefits. “A number of small studies hint that spending time in green space — nature preserves, woodlands, and even urban parks — may ease people's stress levels. Giving the growing consensus that stress contributes to high blood pressure and heart disease risk, anything you can do to mitigate stress is likely helpful. In that realm, the benefits of hiking remain anecdotal, but outdoor enthusiasts tend to agree.”

2. She Trains With Others

When Marks trains, she likes to have a partner with her. Marks shared these photos on Instagram of herself swimming with a friend. Iowa State reveals that group exercise has a lot of benefits. “Exercising with others can also satisfy some basic psychological needs. Any kind of exercise can help someone feel in control of their choices, but the social support from a group can reinforce a sense of autonomy. Similarly, group exercise can increase feelings of mastery – thanks to growing competence, for example, at spinning or step aerobics. And it will certainly increase your connectedness with others. People naturally choose to keep up fulfilling behaviors in the long term and they promote mental health – a win-win.”

3. She Works Her Upper Body

Marks shared this video on Instagram of herself doing an upper body workout. “Go to @usarmywcap for nutrition tips and workouts provided by our awesome team at WCAP 🖤 credit: @usarmywcap... 2 minute warm up - Skier. 4x6-12 Chest press /super set with pull ups. 4x6-12 Incline press /super set with rows. 4x6-12 Flys /super set with high row. 4x6-12 Bicep curl /super set with overhead tricep extensions.

4. She Strength Trains

As you can see in the previous Instagram post, Marks is seen using weights. ACE Fitness states that this has a lot of benefits. “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

5. She Swims, Naturally

"Swimming is one of the most effective ways to burn calories. A gentle swim can burn over 200 calories in just half an hour, more than double that of walking. And a faster swim would see that chocolate bar gone quicker than if you went running or cycling," says Swimming.org. "As well as being a great form of cardiovascular exercise, swimming just 30 minutes a week can help to guard against heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes."

1. She Plays Volleyball

Mia played collegiate volleyball and still hits a ball around on occasion. “I love volleyball, I still play volleyball, but once I started training, wrestling was my passion,” she told Pro Wrestling Post. “I did get a scholarship for volleyball. I played it in high school for all four years. I got a full ride to Virginia Union for two years and then I transferred to Marymount University for a partial. Then I wanted to pursue volleyball for the Olympics, and that’s what my dad wanted me to do.”

2. She Trains Hard

Mia’s body was in great shape when she opted to trade in her volleyball for wrestling. “When I first started training in wrestling I was already conditioned because I played volleyball in college. So conditioning wise I was fine, I was used to running and doing blow up drills,” she said. She trains in a gym regularly, sharing videos and photos of her exercises on social media.

3. She Has an Accountability Buddy

Mia explained to Pro Wrestling Post that Shelton Benjamin is her accountability buddy. “He is the reason why I am not fat. I was getting fat and he was pointing it out. So, he’s the reason why I am jacked and in shape. I do the same for him; if I notice he is gaining some pounds I am sure to point that out. That is how we keep each other prepared for life,” she told the publication.

4. She Does Pilates

Mia is surprisingly into pilates. She shared this before and after photo taken at a pilates studio in front of a reformer. “Now Vs April 2022. I understood the assignment,” she captioned the social media post, showing off her lean figure. According to research, Pilates exercises are designed to increase muscle strength, endurance, and flexibility, and to improve posture and balance. Experts maintain that it is a great workout for leaning out.

5. She Stands Up to Body Shamers

Mia doesn’t have the time or energy to deal with body shamers. “The body shaming is disgusting. Y’all bold behind the screens. It costs nothing to be kind,” she tweeted in 2021.

Daniela Melchior, the rising star who captivated audiences in The Suicide Squad and recently appeared alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in Road House, is making waves both on and off the screen. The Portuguese actress shared a heartfelt Instagram post from her trip to Lisbon, showing glimpses of her journey in a white tank top and a sleek black swimsuit. "I’ll miss you Lisbon. See you soon," she captioned. As she celebrates her time in Portugal, Melchior also opens up about her fitness regimen, skincare routine, and personal growth through therapy and meditation. Here's a deeper look into her lifestyle habits that keep her grounded and glowing.

1. She Works Out For Films

To prepare for The Suicide Squad, Melchior made sure to get in shape. “I actually signed with a gym here in Portugal, and I started working out because I lose a lot of weight while I’m shooting anything,” she said to Schon Magazine. “I don’t know why… with the stress, I lose weight. It was funny to tell this to James Gunn — he asked me, ‘so, you work out?’ And I was like, ‘No, I worked out for this role, because I know that I’ll lose weight.’ And he was like, ‘you’re the only actress I know who works out not to lose weight.’ I was like, ‘Yeah. I’m different!’”

2. She Goes To Therapy

Healthcare,Concept,Of,Professional,Psychologist,Doctor,Consult,In,Psychotherapy,SessionShutterstock

Melchior revealed in her Schon Magazine interview that she goes to therapy. “I know it’s a cliche, but I started doing therapy. I started meditating to be more focused on me and my family and friends. And I’m really happy about it. It’s also really important for me as an actor to know myself — because if I don’t know myself, I will not be able to work to the fullest of my emotions and everything I am… I don’t know if I can say it in English. But, my skills are myself. It’s me. It’s my body. It’s my face and my emotions. So right now, I’m focused on me, and reading as much as I can and watching movies. Yeah. I’m a normal person.”

3. She Has A Multi-Step Skincare Routine

Melchior has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared her secrets in an interview with Byrdie. “My skincare routine changed from moisturizer and eye cream to a multi-step routine. And I love it. It's really good because it makes sense. I was trying to pay more attention to my skin type. I always clean [my face], and I always take my makeup off. In the morning, I do toner, Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid—but only when my skin needs it because sometimes it [makes me] break out. After hyaluronic acid, I put on moisturizer, eye cream. And sunscreen all the time—even if I stay home—because it's so important."

4. She Meditates

Meditation,App,Concept,Vector,Design,In,Eps,10Shutterstock

Melchior revealed to Byrdie that she practices meditation. "I found out that sometimes when I was a little bit more stressed, it would consume me. So, I downloaded a meditation app on my phone [Insight Timer]. When I was in the United States, I would meditate in the morning—like guided meditations, to be present and positive—and to sleep because my mind would be running and overthinking about everything, even if my life was amazing. When the pandemic started, I thought ‘this is the perfect time to take care of myself,' because once it ends, it will be better for me—as an actor even—to get to know me a little bit more. It helped me a lot. I really notice a difference when I don't meditate. If something bad happened, I would be overthinking, and I don't need that."

5. She Worked Hard

Melchior opened up about her career to Vogue. She says that she worked hard when she was a teenager, and that this helped her today. “Starting my career working as an actor doing soap operas in Portugal was very decisive of the type of actor that I am today. In Portugal, the industry is very small. We do not have much time and we do not have big budgets. It made me become an actor that is always ready for anything. I am ready for the director to make a suggestion or to change his mind and ask me for something in the moment. In fact, this was instrumental when I did my audition for my first international movie.”

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
