Model, actress, and Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar, takes time away from her busy life to be out in the sun, by the water. On a slideshow of photos and videos on Instagram, captioned “water baby 💚💙💚💙,” Manushi spends time by the water, paddleboarding, watching the sunset, and enjoying her surroundings. Here’s how
She Walks
She gets moving in the morning, factoring in a little activity. “Morning walk 🌲⛰️☀️💙💚,” she said on Instagram. According to the Mayo Clinic, “regular brisk walking can help you maintain a healthy weight and lose body fat, prevent or manage various conditions, including heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, cancer and type 2 diabetes, improve cardiovascular fitness, strengthen your bones and muscle,” and more.
She Exercises
No matter how busy life gets, she factors workouts into her routine and remembers it’s important to carve out time to prioritize her health. “My week checklist 😍❤️🥳work and travel 😎🤓, exercise 🤸🏻♀️🏋🏻♀️💪, glam 💄💋, catching up with friends🥂, finishing my painting 🎨🖼️, [and] revisiting childhood memories in Delhi,” she said on Instagram.
She's Confident
She focuses on building strength and self esteem, and is very confident. “Shine bright, honey! ✨,” she said on Instagram. According to Psychology Today, “the more confident you become, the more you’ll be able to calm the voice inside you that says, “I can’t do it.” You’ll be able to unhook from your thoughts and take action in line with your values.”
She Does Pilates
She enjoys practicing pilates to stay strong and fit. “A pilates girl,” she said on Instagram on a video of her going through the movements. According to the Cleveland Clinic, “pilates is a form of strength training, but it doesn’t look like some of the other strength training exercises you might be familiar with. Pilates focuses more on improving muscle tone than building muscles, but the result is similar: greater stability and endurance.”
She Travels
Even while traveling, she seeks out opportunities for healing, like floating in the Dead Sea in Jordan. “A few minutes before floating in the Dead Sea 🌊 Another one off the list ✔️,” she said on Instagram on a photo of her in the water. According to US News, “the area of Jordan that surrounds the Dead Sea is a low-elevation and high-oxygen location, which means that people with certain heart conditions can reap the rewards from this extremely hospitable environment.”
