Model, actress, and Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar, takes time away from her busy life to be out in the sun, by the water. On a slideshow of photos and videos on Instagram, captioned “water baby 💚💙💚💙,” Manushi spends time by the water, paddleboarding, watching the sunset, and enjoying her surroundings. Here’s how

She Walks

She gets moving in the morning, factoring in a little activity. “Morning walk 🌲⛰️☀️💙💚,” she said on Instagram. According to the Mayo Clinic, “regular brisk walking can help you maintain a healthy weight and lose body fat, prevent or manage various conditions, including heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, cancer and type 2 diabetes, improve cardiovascular fitness, strengthen your bones and muscle,” and more.

She Exercises

No matter how busy life gets, she factors workouts into her routine and remembers it’s important to carve out time to prioritize her health. “My week checklist 😍❤️🥳work and travel 😎🤓, exercise 🤸🏻♀️🏋🏻♀️💪, glam 💄💋, catching up with friends🥂, finishing my painting 🎨🖼️, [and] revisiting childhood memories in Delhi,” she said on Instagram.

She's Confident

She focuses on building strength and self esteem, and is very confident. “Shine bright, honey! ✨,” she said on Instagram. According to Psychology Today, “the more confident you become, the more you’ll be able to calm the voice inside you that says, “I can’t do it.” You’ll be able to unhook from your thoughts and take action in line with your values.”

She Does Pilates

She enjoys practicing pilates to stay strong and fit. “A pilates girl,” she said on Instagram on a video of her going through the movements. According to the Cleveland Clinic, “pilates is a form of strength training, but it doesn’t look like some of the other strength training exercises you might be familiar with. Pilates focuses more on improving muscle tone than building muscles, but the result is similar: greater stability and endurance.”

She Travels

Even while traveling, she seeks out opportunities for healing, like floating in the Dead Sea in Jordan. “A few minutes before floating in the Dead Sea 🌊 Another one off the list ✔️,” she said on Instagram on a photo of her in the water. According to US News, “the area of Jordan that surrounds the Dead Sea is a low-elevation and high-oxygen location, which means that people with certain heart conditions can reap the rewards from this extremely hospitable environment.”

1. She Starts Her Day With Lemon Water

Chhillar loves a glass of warm water with lemon to start her day. “Juice half a lemon into your water and you’ll add a mere 6 calories to your diet,” says Roxanne B. Sukol, MD, MS. “Plus you’ll get more than a sixth of your daily vitamin C, which is needed to protect us from cell damage and repair injury.”

2. Yogurt and Fruit For Breakfast

Entertainment India - May 2022Prodip Guha/Getty Images

Chhillar enjoys cereal, yogurt, and fruit for breakfast. “Yogurt is a rich source of calcium, thus making it ideal for improving bone health,” says Dr Prachi Garg. “Regular consumption of yogurt preserves bone mass and strength, thus reducing the risk of fractures and osteoporosis. Daily consumption of yogurt reduces inflammation in the body. Inflammation is responsible for most autoimmune diseases, diabetes, cancer and arthritis.”

3. She Loves Chapatis

Chapatis (Indian flatbreads) are always on the menu for Chhillar, who frequently enjoys them for lunch. “Chapati contains vitamins and minerals like magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and iron,” says Dr. Santosh Rayabagi.

4. Water All Day

Entertainment India - April 2022Prodip Guha/Getty Images

Chhillar makes sure she stays hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. “The daily four-to-six cup rule is for generally healthy people,” says Harvard Health. “It's possible to take in too much water if you have certain health conditions, such as thyroid disease or kidney, liver, or heart problems; or if you're taking medications that make you retain water, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), opiate pain medications, and some antidepressants.”

5. She Loves Yoga

Chhillar practises yoga several times a week. “The purpose of yoga is to build strength, awareness and harmony in both the mind and body,” says Natalie Nevins, DO, a board-certified osteopathic family physician and certified Kundalini Yoga instructor in Hollywood, California. “Whether you’re a couch potato or a professional athlete, size and fitness levels do not matter because there are modifications for every yoga pose and beginner classes in every style. The idea is to explore your limits, not strive for some pretzel-like perfection. It is a great way to get in tune with your body and your inner self.”

6. She Runs

Running is a consistent part of Chhillar’s fitness regimen. "There is no question that if you are not exercising and if you make the decision to start — whether it's walking, jogging, cycling, or an elliptical machine — you are going to be better off," says cardiologist Dr. Aaron Baggish, the associate director of the Cardiovascular Performance Program at Harvard-affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital.

7. She Swims

Chhillar loves to incorporate swimming into her workouts. "If you struggle to exercise, remember that even a little exercise provides enormous benefits for both physical and mental health,” says Mark Lieber, MD. “You don't have to run a marathon or swim the English Channel. And if you don't like to exercise, find a way to make it enjoyable. For most people, that means making it social. Exercising with friends will help you find the motivation to show up and keep going."

Kate Sharma, the actress, model and influencer, loves to share her everyday life with her fans, including her many outfit changes. Sharma posted a reel of herself walking and posing in a black bathing suit and see-through skirt, with the hashtag “reel it, feel it.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Sharma stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Loves To Take Baths

Sharma loves the physical and mental benefits of taking regular baths. “Baths help many people sleep well,” says family medicine provider Amy Zack, MD. “They also create a good environment for meditation, thought and escape from everyday stressors.”

Baths have been a popular way to relax and unwind for centuries, and there are a number of potential health benefits associated with taking a soak in the tub. Here are a few examples:

  1. Stress relief: The warm water and the act of soaking in a bath can help to relax the muscles and reduce stress. In fact, research has shown that taking a warm bath can lower blood pressure and heart rate, both of which can be indicators of stress.
  2. Improved sleep: The relaxation and stress-reducing effects of a bath can also help to improve sleep quality. A warm bath before bedtime can help you fall asleep faster and wake up feeling more refreshed.
  3. Pain relief: Soaking in warm water can help to reduce muscle pain and soreness, particularly after exercise. The buoyancy of the water can also help to take the weight off of sore joints, making it easier to move around.

2. She Swims

Sharma enjoys swimming as part of her fitness regimen. "Because the activity is less weight-bearing, certain groups of people can take advantage of it if they want to be active,” says Brian Wright, associate professor of kinesiology at DePauw University. “One can also continue to do it late into one's age, as opposed to weight-bearing activities like running.”

3. She’s a Dancer

Like most Bollywood stars, Sharma is an accomplished dance performer. “When you begin moving, you immediately release the brain chemicals dopamine, adrenaline, and endorphins, causing a powerful and lasting effect I call ‘energized optimism,’” says Kelly McGonigal, PhD.

4. She Enjoys Indian Snacks

Pani,Puri,,Golgappe,,Chat,Item,,IndiaShutterstock

Sharma is a big fan of pani puri, an Indian street snack consisting of fried dough balls filled with vegetables. "The water used in pani puri are flavors of cumin, mint and tamarind,” says Senior Clinical Dietician Neha Bhatia. “Mint water and cumin are good for weight loss. Not just for weight loss, mint water is good for health as well. It can help in curing irritable bowel syndrome, provide relief to indigestion and improve immunity. Mint also has fiber, vitamin A, iron, manganese and folate."

5. She Loves the Beach

Sharma loves spending time at the beach. “The physical sensation of putting your feet in warm sand causes people to relax,” says Richard Shuster, PsyD. “We’ve been conditioned to think of the beach as peaceful and relaxing. We expect when we go to the beach that we are going to relax.”

Spending time at the beach can have a number of health benefits. Here are a few examples:

  1. Improved mental health: The sound of the waves and the smell of the saltwater can help to relax the mind and reduce stress. In fact, research has shown that spending time in natural environments can help to improve mental health and reduce the risk of depression and anxiety.
  2. Increased vitamin D: Sun exposure is an important source of vitamin D, which is essential for strong bones and a healthy immune system. Spending time at the beach can help you get more vitamin D, which can be difficult to get from food alone.
  3. Increased physical activity: The beach is a great place for physical activity, such as swimming, surfing, or playing beach sports. Exercise is important for overall health, as it can help to improve cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones and muscles, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as obesity and diabetes.
  4. Improved skin health: The sun's UV rays can have a drying effect on the skin, but the saltwater and sand at the beach can help to exfoliate and moisturize the skin. The ocean's minerals can also help to improve skin conditions such as acne and eczema.
  5. Improved sleep: The relaxation and stress-reducing effects of spending time at the beach can also help to improve sleep quality. Getting enough restful sleep is important for overall health, as it helps to repair the body and support immune function.

1. She Transformed For A Role

When Chandna signed on to appear in Naagin 5, she had to get in shape. She shared her process to Times Of India. "I had to say bye-bye to all the happy weight and bring a transformation because my character needed that,” she explained. “If you are playing a naagin you need to look sexy, fit and someone who can easily do the stunts. The previous seasons' actresses, who played naagins, had already set a bar so high, that it was important to look different and set a new trend."

2. She Did Her Own Stunts

Entertainment India February 2021Prodip Guha/Getty Images

In Naagin 5, Chandna did a lot of her own stunts. "When I signed up for the show, I did not have time to go to the gym, because we were shooting for 12-13 hours,” she tells Times Of India. “Naagin is not a show that requires you to be at one place throughout the day. The show had a fast pace, we had to run around a lot because of outdoor scenes and do a lot of stunts and action scenes. This helped me burn my calories, so I was burning good calories on the sets, shooting for 12-13 hours."

3. She Believes In Balance

Indian,Mumbai,Food,Pav,Bhaji,From,Vegetables,With,Bread,Close-upShutterstock

Chandna opened up about her diet to Times Of India. She says that she believes in eating a balanced diet. "I used to eat bhakhri, rice, veggies, chicken and fish. I also consumed jowar bhakhris. I kept away from junk food but I had my 'cheat' days when I used to go out and eat pav bhaji and pizza. The idea was to be physically active and run around a lot, eat in small proportions than totally deprive yourself."

4. She Stays Consistent

Entertainment India - December 2021Prodip Guha/Getty Images

When Chandna isn’t on set doing stunts, she still makes time to workout. She shared some of her favorite exercises to Times Of India. "I am thankful that I achieved my fitness goals playing a Naagin,” she says. “I have time on hand. I will again go back to doing my zumba and pilates to maintain my fitness levels."

5. She Swims

Chandna spends a lot of time in the water. She likes to swim to keep herself in shape, and shares a lot of photos of herself doing this on Instagram. Chandna shared this set of photos of herself enjoying a pool day, including shots of herself in the water. She captioned the post, “Island Girl. 1. She Has Been Body Shamed

Mithila has been the subject of body shaming. “I perpetually get trolled and body shamed,” she said, per Hindustan Times. “People keep posting on social media and say why you don’t eat something. You look so skinny.” She says she can’t win with them. “Some people like my physique and ask me, ‘why are you so slim’, some question and advice me, ‘it’s not healthy to be this thin. Do you starve yourself?’

2. She Loves to Eat

Mithila maintains that despite her slender figure, she is eating a lot. “I want to tell them all that I love to binge eat, without feeling conscious of gaining weight. I like trying out new cuisines and don’t fuss about it,” she added. “I give all the credit to the good metabolism I have that helps me stay slim.”

3. She Does Functional Training

Mathila exercises. “I do functional training for core strength building,” she said. “Feel comfortable in your skin and remember that it’s important to be disciplined when it comes to your fitness routine. Workout leads to good health and there is no downside to it. Even if it is one thing that you do every day in your workout routine, do that religiously.”

5. She Hydrates

Ana Zelu is a professional model and social media influencer. She is known for her content in nature. Zelu recently shared a post on Instagram of herself on a surfboard in the ocean. She captioned it, “Yesterday was such a fun shoot, I just had to share these with you 🤍 🛥️But picture number #4?? That photobomb totally got me 😂 Which picture is your favorite ?🌊”

She Swims

As you can see from her post, Zelu likes to swim. The Mayo Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming is often touted as a great workout for all ages, offering benefits not only for the body, but also for the mind. As a form of exercise, swimming keeps your heart rate up and builds muscle strength. It also can be a great form of stress relief.”

She Doesn't Compare Herself to Others

Zelu shares a lot of her thoughts on Instagram. In this post, she talked about no longer comparing herself to others. “Dear Diary 💭📝, Today’s contemplation led me to a profound understanding of the detrimental impact comparison has on our lives. It’s like a silent intruder, subtly creeping into our thoughts and poisoning our perception of ourselves and others. It’s a universal struggle, one that weighs heavily on the hearts of many. I’ve come to realize that comparison is the ultimate thief of joy. It robs us of our ability to appreciate our own journey and achievements, as we constantly measure ourselves against an idealized version of others. I’ve resolved to break free from its grasp. We should choose to celebrate our own unique path, recognizing that each step forward is a triumph in itself. Rather than fixating on external benchmarks set by others, I’m focusing on personal growth and development. Whether it’s through learning new skills, cultivating gratitude, or simply practicing self-compassion, every effort counts.”

She Hikes

Zelu is seen on a hike in the previous Instagram post. Harvard Health states that hiking is very beneficial. “Like brisk walking, hiking is a good way to improve your cardiovascular fitness, particularly if your route includes some hills, which will force your heart to work harder. Taking a hike on the slightly uneven surface of a trail also provides a natural way to engage the core muscles in your torso and to hone your balance skills.”

She’s Resilient

Resilience is another important thing to Zelu. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Dear Diary 💭📝, I witnessed something truly remarkable that touched my heart deeply. It’s amazing how people can go through the toughest storms in life and yet remain gentle, patient, and kind. I saw someone who faced challenges that would break most people, yet they chose to respond with grace and humility. Their ability to stay calm and compassionate in the face of adversity is nothing short of admirable. It made me realize the beauty of resilience – the strength to keep going even when life throws its hardest punches. These individuals not only endure the storms but also emerge from them with a spirit that shines brighter than before. Their example reminds me of the power of kindness and the importance of staying true to oneself, even in the darkest of times. It’s a reminder that even in the midst of chaos, there is beauty to be found 💕🫶”

She’s Accepted Herself

Zelu talked about the importance of acceptance in this Instagram post’s caption. “Dear Diary 💭📝, Today has been a rollercoaster of emotions, but amidst it all, I feel like I’ve taken a step closer to the right direction. Letting go of the past is like shedding a heavy coat I’ve been carrying for far too long. It’s not easy to release the memories, the pain, the regrets, but today, I made a choice to loosen the grip they had on me. It’s like taking a deep breath after being underwater for too long—refreshing and liberating. Forgiving myself has been a journey filled with tears and moments of self-doubt. But today, I finally understood that I deserve the same forgiveness and understanding I give to others. It’s like giving myself a warm hug, wrapping myself in kindness and acceptance.”
