She first made waves in 2016, with songs like, “My Church”, “80s Mercedes”, and “Sugar.” She then appeared on the Zedd & Grey hit, “The Middle” in 2018. The next year, she released her album, “GIRL”, which included hits like the title track and “The Bones”, and became a member of the group, The Highwomen. This week, Morris shared a photo on her Instagram story of herself lying in bed writing her Billboard speech. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Maren Morris stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She’s Treating Her Depression

Morris opened up about postpartum depression and how she’s treating it on The Howard Stern Show. “I think I was just starting to make very little sense to myself and to people around me. I felt useless in the way of I couldn’t work. I couldn’t tour. Everything got canceled.”It’s a tough one when you’ve done something for so long to not think that that’s you, even though you love it and it makes you a living, that’s not who you are. So separating those things was helpful, getting on Zoloft was also really cool.”

2. She Shaves Her Face

Morris has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. She revealed a unique treatment she has on Twitter. “Ok, going a step further, I also shave my face. I learned it because Amy Grant said it once at a talk 5 years ago and she doesn’t age. I’ve been shaving ever since. Men age gracefully because they shave everyday. Marilyn Monroe also shaved. Like, literally no one asked, but it’s Twitter, so f*** it. After years of stage makeup, the only thing that’s worked for my skin is doing microneedling every 2 months. It’s been 2 years since I’ve had a major breakout, even through pregnancy.”

3. Morris Works with Trainer

Morris works with trainer, Erin Opera, to help her stay fit. Opera shared some of Morris’ fitness secrets in an interview with E! News. “She has been playing tennis,” Opera revealed. “I encourage clients to do their cardio outside of me. Sports are always the best way because when you're chasing a ball, you're not thinking about cardio.”

4. She’s Motivated

Opera talked about working with Morris to E! News. She says that the singer is extremely dedicated to staying in shape. “She's a strong woman and she knows what she wants. She's driven. When she decides she wants to do something, or she has a vision for something, she's going to make it play out. She's a strong confident woman. She won't put up with s--t. Nobody can put her down or boss her around.”

5. She Took Things Slow

Opera talked about how Morris lost the weight from her pregnancy to E! News. She says that she had Morris take things slow. “Nutrition was the biggest part. A big part was letting her just enjoy her baby. Just be in the moment and with time, it will all come off if you stay consistent. You can do all these crash things and get it off that way or you can do a slow, steady pace. I always say slow and steady wins the race. If you do it slowly, you're not going to feel deprived.”

Maren Morris is diving into her vacation in her swimsuit! The country star, currently spending time in Idaho with her family, shared some photos and videos of her adventures. In them, she wears a black swimsuit as she enjoys time on the lake with friends and family. “All the blues, baby,” she captioned the Instagram post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Maren Morris stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Her Diet Is Healthy

Even when she is on tour, Maren maintains a healthy diet. She starts the morning with three egg whites and spinach cooked in olive oil, and wheat toast. For lunch, she eats salad with protein. However, she waits until after her shows to consume dinner, usually leaving the stage starving. “When I’m out there, I make it count. I know I’ll feel awful if I don’t eat right after burning all those calories in the show,” she told Women’s Health. For dinner, she will eat another salad, maybe skinless chicken over spinach with lemon vinaigrette.

2. She Exercises

2022 CMT Music Awards - ArrivalsMike Coppola/Getty Images

Maren attributes her toned figure to exercise sessions with Nashville based trainer Erin Oprea. She does a lot of their workouts virtually and also uses Erin’s Pretty Little Muscles app. Her workouts usually involve jump roping followed by bodyweight resistance strength training, doing exercises like front and side planks, pushups, squats, lunges, and a combo of the latter two.

“Squat lunges are the worst,” she confessed. “They’re so hard because that’s the area I need it most—my thighs and butt.” She then moves to the BOSU ball and does crunches and core work, followed by weight lifting with free weights.

3. She Is Inspired By Lara Croft

64th Annual GRAMMY Awards - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Initially, Maren told her trainer she wanted dto “look like Tomb Raider.” She even keeps a photo of Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft on her phone. “This is what I have to look at every time I unlock it—if I’m at a bar, or eating a french fry. So that’s motivating,” she said.

4. She Was Comfortable with Her Body After Having a Baby

2022 iHeartCountry Festival Presented By Capital One – Red CarpetDave Pedley/Getty Images

Oprea told Us Weekly that Maren was comfortable with her body after welcoming her first baby and didn’t rush into losing the weight. "She doesn't have this, 'I want to bounce back kind of mentality,' which I freaking love, after having a baby," Oprea said. "She has this, 'I want to feel good, but I still want to love life.' And I think it's cool. My goal for her [is] slow and steady, enjoy the journey."

5. She Does Therapy

57th Academy of Country Music Awards - ArrivalsJeff Kravitz/FilmMagic

After welcoming her son, Maren did battle postpartum depression, which her husband, Ryan Hurd, helped diagnose. "I do check-ins all the time [with] therapy, which I've done for years, and my husband was a huge help diagnosing that too," she told People. "Sometimes it's just someone really close to you saying, 'Are you OK?' It's so simple, but it kind of snaps you out of whatever fog you're in that you think is normal, but isn't."

Meagan Good is dressed to sweat and showing off her flawless figure. In a new social media post the actress flaunts her washboard abs in a matching crop top and leggings as she heads into a workout session. “Sᴜɴᴅᴀʏ‘ȥ ..☕️ 🏃🏾♀️,” she captioned the series of Instagram photos. “Daaaamn she fine! 😍 you are Pure Love & Inspiration,” one of her followers commented. “You look incredible seester,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Works Out 3 to 4 Hours Per Week

Meagan invests a good amount of time in her body every week. “I work with my trainer Augustina about four to five times a week for 45 minutes a day,” she told Black Doctor. “We start out on the treadmill and then we do a lot of exercises using my own body weight. My favorite workouts are anything having to do with making my waistline trimmer and toned. My least favorite is any type of pushup! Everybody wants lightning in a bottle, and while healthy things in a bottle do help, you have to do the work to get the results you really want.”

She Pays Attention to Protein Intake and Portion Sizes

Baked chicken

When it comes to diet, the star puts her focus on consuming enough protein and keeping her portions in check. “I try to eat healthy. In the morning, I have a protein shake. In the afternoon I eat mostly whatever I want, I just try to modify it to a healthier choice and a smaller portion—since I still have time to be active if I’m a little bad. In the evening, I stick to baked chicken and veggies,” she dished to Black Doctor. “I think some of the best ways to stay healthy when you have a busy life and career are protein shakes, lots of…… vitamins.”

She Prioritizes Hydration

In addition to rest and beauty products, “water” is one of Meagan’s top “beauty secrets,” she told Black Doctor. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

She Believes in God

Praying,Hands,With,Faith,In,Religion,And,Belief,In,GodShutterstock

Meagan keeps herself grounded with religion. “Before I go to the gym, I read my Bible, say some affirmations, and listen to some gospel music or something that will help get me in a positive zone to set my intention for the day. The routine starts even before I hit the gym because if I'm already in the right frame of mind, topping it off with a workout makes me feel unstoppable,” she told Byrdie.

And, She Indulges in Self-Care

“I just turned 40, and I've been in many amazing transitions mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I've been valuing time with myself, whether that's journaling, praying, reading, or going to the gym, but it doesn't have to be the same every day. The beauty of caring for yourself is finding freedom. It's your day, and you can do what you want to do to feel present. Sometimes I stay in and cook; other times, I order takeout. I might binge-watch a TV show on a self-care day,” she told Byrdie.

Recently, she shared a video on Instagram of herself performing a handstand on two platforms, captioning the post, “It’s been a good 7 months since I’ve done this!!! A bit stiff, definitely need to iron out the kinks but she’s moving 😜.” From Pilates to core circuits, Moroney proves that consistency and adaptation are key to a healthy lifestyle.

She Does Core Workouts

Moroney shared some of her favorite core exercises in this Instagram video. She captioned it, “I don’t think you understand how excited I was for this. I missed my @cultureofmotion core circuits ✨Taken from the essentials program!!! Ofc I’ve still been doing core focused work but only specific exercises that I wouldn’t do outside of pregnant and postpartum recovery, so it felt nice to get back to my usual exercises ☺️”

She Does Pilates

Moroney likes to do Pilates workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself using a reformer. Moroney captioned the post, “Sometimes 10 mins is all you got 🫶🏼💞So grateful for this stunning reformer from @yourreformer making postpartum movement at home as easy as can be. A life saver for my body and mind at the moment 🙏🏼”

She Runs On The Treadmill

Mornoney likes to run on the treadmill in order to do some cardio. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing so. Moroney captioned the post. “Let me tell you this, being postpartum and running again is an EXPERIENCE. You’ve got more things jiggling than ever 😂To my big booby girlies, how do you ever do this!!!”

She Uses Weights

Moroney likes to use weights to workout. She shared this video of herself doing hip thrusts with a barbell on Instagram. She captioned it, “Disassociating or just dying… or both 😂🥵Let me get real for a second ⬇️Getting back into lifting has been a bit of a slap in the face, I have never actually had a set back this big before in regards to my capabilities as an athlete. I’ve never seriously injured myself, or had any reason to slow down and because of this I have noticed now that I’ve always been working at doing more or remaining in a maintenance phase of strength, general fitness or skill work. PP is a big deal, there is no room for ego’s or silly expectations, you must just look after yourself and put in the work and be okay being a beginner again 🙏🏼”

She Does Hip Thrusts

In the previous Instagram video, Moroney is seen doing hip thrusts. According to Gymless, hip thrusts are very beneficial. “Hip thrusts are a controlled and powerful movement, mainly focusing on the glutes, hamstrings, lower back, and core. This exercise is vital for developing a stronger posterior chain, contributing to improved athletic performance, alleviating lower back pain, and enhancing overall physique. Considering that about 65 million Americans experience some form of back pain, hip thrusts are a great exercise to include in your routine.”

Ana Zelu is a professional model and social media influencer. She is known for her content in nature. Zelu recently shared a post on Instagram of herself on a surfboard in the ocean. She captioned it, “Yesterday was such a fun shoot, I just had to share these with you 🤍 🛥️But picture number #4?? That photobomb totally got me 😂 Which picture is your favorite ?🌊”

She Swims

As you can see from her post, Zelu likes to swim. The Mayo Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming is often touted as a great workout for all ages, offering benefits not only for the body, but also for the mind. As a form of exercise, swimming keeps your heart rate up and builds muscle strength. It also can be a great form of stress relief.”

She Doesn't Compare Herself to Others

Zelu shares a lot of her thoughts on Instagram. In this post, she talked about no longer comparing herself to others. “Dear Diary 💭📝, Today’s contemplation led me to a profound understanding of the detrimental impact comparison has on our lives. It’s like a silent intruder, subtly creeping into our thoughts and poisoning our perception of ourselves and others. It’s a universal struggle, one that weighs heavily on the hearts of many. I’ve come to realize that comparison is the ultimate thief of joy. It robs us of our ability to appreciate our own journey and achievements, as we constantly measure ourselves against an idealized version of others. I’ve resolved to break free from its grasp. We should choose to celebrate our own unique path, recognizing that each step forward is a triumph in itself. Rather than fixating on external benchmarks set by others, I’m focusing on personal growth and development. Whether it’s through learning new skills, cultivating gratitude, or simply practicing self-compassion, every effort counts.”

She Hikes

Zelu is seen on a hike in the previous Instagram post. Harvard Health states that hiking is very beneficial. “Like brisk walking, hiking is a good way to improve your cardiovascular fitness, particularly if your route includes some hills, which will force your heart to work harder. Taking a hike on the slightly uneven surface of a trail also provides a natural way to engage the core muscles in your torso and to hone your balance skills.”

She’s Resilient

Resilience is another important thing to Zelu. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Dear Diary 💭📝, I witnessed something truly remarkable that touched my heart deeply. It’s amazing how people can go through the toughest storms in life and yet remain gentle, patient, and kind. I saw someone who faced challenges that would break most people, yet they chose to respond with grace and humility. Their ability to stay calm and compassionate in the face of adversity is nothing short of admirable. It made me realize the beauty of resilience – the strength to keep going even when life throws its hardest punches. These individuals not only endure the storms but also emerge from them with a spirit that shines brighter than before. Their example reminds me of the power of kindness and the importance of staying true to oneself, even in the darkest of times. It’s a reminder that even in the midst of chaos, there is beauty to be found 💕🫶”

She’s Accepted Herself

Zelu talked about the importance of acceptance in this Instagram post’s caption. “Dear Diary 💭📝, Today has been a rollercoaster of emotions, but amidst it all, I feel like I’ve taken a step closer to the right direction. Letting go of the past is like shedding a heavy coat I’ve been carrying for far too long. It’s not easy to release the memories, the pain, the regrets, but today, I made a choice to loosen the grip they had on me. It’s like taking a deep breath after being underwater for too long—refreshing and liberating. Forgiving myself has been a journey filled with tears and moments of self-doubt. But today, I finally understood that I deserve the same forgiveness and understanding I give to others. It’s like giving myself a warm hug, wrapping myself in kindness and acceptance.”

Viciconte captioned it, “When we exercise, our body releases endorphin, a natural substance produced by the brain during and after physical activity. The release of endorphin, also known as the 'joy hormone', helps you relax, reduces stress, anxiety and improves your mood. I always say that it's never too late to start moving, so you know that tomorrow you have no excuse 💪🏻”
