Marisa Tomei is posing next to a skateboard – in a two-piece workout look. In a new social media post the actress pays tribute to a skateboard company and wishes Rihanna a happy birthday in a red hot, ab-baring outfit. “What a time… @alltimers 🫶🏽Also, Happy Birthday @badgalriri !” she captioned the set of Instagram snaps. How does the star, 59, look half her age? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Meditation

“I've always kept it really simple,” she told Vogue about her approach to wellness “Growing up, I was interested in meditation and in grounding myself. That led to how I take care of my body in the best way.” She added: “Moving meditation, like dance meditation, makes me feel at home in my skin; it helps me on a spiritual, mental, and, ultimately, physical level,” she told Vogue.

2. Healthy Diet

Tomei drinks a lot of water and starts every day with a shake, consisting of apple juice, kale, ginger, avocado, strawberries, and blueberries. She believes that “what you put into your body is even more crucial than what you’re doing in terms of your exterior,” she said in another interview with Vogue. “What I eat and how I connect with my body feed my external. I try to eat seasonal, local, and organic foods as much as possible, almost all the time.” A lot of times, “also, I just eat one big meal and little things throughout the day, or I’ll eat like a bird for a few days and then a giant meal. A feast on the fifth day," Marisa dished to New York Magazine.

3. Yoga, Calisthenics, and Hikes

Marisa also partakes in other exercise methods to stay in shape. “I still hike and do calisthenics and yoga from time to time, but the cornerstone of it all is the inner stuff,” she told Vogue.

4. Infrared Saunas

Infrared,Light,Sauna,Interior,In,Hotel,Spa,CenterShutterstock

“Lately, I have been going to the infrared sauna for detoxes, which I absolutely love,” she told Vogue. “It heats up the body from the inside out, so I get a lot of energy afterward and I feel so light. It gets rid of any poisons, especially if I had to take medicine or had a lot of sugar or alcohol. It’s a great place to be in and do meditation, too.”

5. Hula Hooping

Marisa got into shape for The Wrestler by hula hooping. She even filmed her own hula hooping exercise video for Gaiam. “You just can’t help but laugh and smile when you’re hooping,” she told the New York Times.

Maycee Barner is showing off all her gym moods – and her amazing body in exercise clothes. In a new social media post the MMA fighter flaunts her figure in shorts and a crop top during an exercise session. “There’s no in between 😂💀 Which one are you?!” she captioned the video of all her gym moods. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Her Daily Schedule

Maycee works out from 9:30-10:30 a.m, wrestles from 1:30-2:30 p.m., and has team practice 3-4 p.m. Then, she takes a recovery period and does cryotherapy from 6-7 p.m. Then, at 8 p.m., a light run or hot tub, “depending on the day's training intensity.”

Science of Food

A scientist looking at food under a microscope.

Shuterstock

"After I got signed with UFC, they did all these metabolic tests to create a meal plan for me, which they partnered with meal delivery service Trifecta to do," Barber told Well + Good. She avoids soy and dairy, and eats a diet high in protein, healthy fats, and lots of fibrous veggies as a result of her testing. "I've gotten really into the science behind what's best to eat because it's so important [for my job]," she said. "I've done meal plans in the past where I haven't felt good at all, I felt sick and tired all the time, but eating this way makes me feel energized and also keeps my immune system strong.”

Breakfast

"All of my meals are some sort of combination of protein and vegetables—including breakfast," says Barber. "I really love eggs, so that's something I have a lot in the mornings, often with a side of broccoli, or another high-fiber vegetable. I like to have coffee, but I wait until after my morning workout to have it. Throughout the day, I make sure to stay hydrated, too. Hydration is really important. I drink water before, during, and after all my workouts."

Lunch

Assortment,Of,Poke,Bowls,Flat,LayShutterstock

Next up, lunch. "There's a poke spot close to me that I love, so I got there a lot for lunch," she says. "I do a build-your-own-bowl, adding ahi tuna and lots and lots of greens. I also add in cilantro, cucumber, and red onion. The sauce I like to put on top is lime juice-based. I love this lunch because it's super healthy, really delicious, and gives me the stamina I need to push through my next workout,” she said.

Dinner

"Dinner is...yep, more protein and veggies! One of my go-to dinners is salmon and vegetables," she says. "It has protein, healthy fats, and of course lots of fiber—everything I know my body needs to feel good. I don't actually love the taste of salmon, but I do love the way it makes me feel. As you can see, I eat a lot of fish and vegetables; that's pretty much the core of my diet. I just try to find ways to keep it mix it up and keep it interesting."

Janette Manrara is getting an at home workout in in her workout gear. In a new social media post the Strictly Come Dancing star shows off her amazing figure during a sweat session in the comfort of her own home. “Happy Tuesday everyone. Keep moving,” she writes in the caption of the Instagram video. “It’s been tough for me getting a routine in w/ the gym being on my own w/ Lyra while still working. I get a session here and there, but w/ no consistency. I miss moving, I miss stretching. I have noticed my energy has dropped, and I have felt more anxious as well. So today I decided no gym needed, just need some quiet and a simple session just to feel better. I set the alarm before Lyra got up, and although waking up was painful, I feel SO MUCH better for doing so.” How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Pilates-Based Workouts

In her new workout video, Janette does a Pilates inspired workout. “These are all Pilates based movements for core and upper body strength, w/ lots of breathing and a good long stretch at the end. Quick work out, but a nice one. I used the @sweat app and put in that I had no gym equipment so I can do it from the comfort of my own living room,” she writes.

Exercise for Mental Health

Getty Images

Janette works out for her mental health. “It’s hard when we all have so much to juggle to think about the affects movement can have not just on our body, but our mental health. We ALL have easier days than others, but moving and doing something for yourself is ALWAYS going to be a good idea. The alarm hurt, but I am so grateful that I did,” she adds in the post.

Strength Training

Getty Images

Janette is really “into weight training,” she told Independent. “I’m doing a bit of running, and I like to be at home and just do 25 minutes of body exercises, just here with my yoga mat, as much as I can. That’s helped me maintain a healthy lifestyle and keep an eye on my weight, because I did feel the difference, in my muscles especially, when I stopped Strictly.”

Personalized Approach to “Wellbeing”

Getty Images

Janette approaches health in a personalized manner. “Wellbeing is everything. It’s about finding a way to be physically active and mentally stimulated and happy. There are so many different ways we can look after our mind and our body and put that into one,” Manrara told The Independent. “There’s no one solution for anyone – I learned that through my wellbeing courses. It’s about finding that balance that’s right for you, not trying fit an image, profile or a certain type. We all come in different shapes and sizes, and finding what works for you is what I think wellbeing is all about – what makes you ultimately happy and feel good.”

Small Portions and a Balanced Approach to Diet

“I wouldn’t say I eat healthily, but I think I’m very balanced with my food. If I’ve been very good in the day, I allow myself a little treat in the evening, or if I’ve been naughty in the day then I try to eat not too bad later. I also watch my portions – I don’t have big portions of anything,” Janette said about her diet. “But I’m not a crazy fiend about eating super-healthy, I just try and keep my plate balanced, with a little bit of salad, a little bit of veggies, some protein and some carbs, and if I want a little treat afterwards, then a piece of chocolate or anything like that,” she added to Independent. She also loves pizza and burgers. “I don’t think it’s about cutting things out completely, it’s just about balancing it out, and watching what you put into your body.”

Fitness Model Morgan Rose Moroney in Two-Piece Workout Gear Says "She's Moving"
Morgan Rose Morony / Instagram

Morgan Rose Moroney, a fitness trainer and gymnastics enthusiast, inspires her followers with creative workouts and candid advice on fitness and postpartum recovery. Recently, she shared a video on Instagram of herself performing a handstand on two platforms, captioning the post, “It’s been a good 7 months since I’ve done this!!! A bit stiff, definitely need to iron out the kinks but she’s moving 😜.” From Pilates to core circuits, Moroney proves that consistency and adaptation are key to a healthy lifestyle.

She Does Core Workouts

Moroney shared some of her favorite core exercises in this Instagram video. She captioned it, “I don’t think you understand how excited I was for this. I missed my @cultureofmotion core circuits ✨Taken from the essentials program!!! Ofc I’ve still been doing core focused work but only specific exercises that I wouldn’t do outside of pregnant and postpartum recovery, so it felt nice to get back to my usual exercises ☺️”

She Does Pilates

Moroney likes to do Pilates workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself using a reformer. Moroney captioned the post, “Sometimes 10 mins is all you got 🫶🏼💞So grateful for this stunning reformer from @yourreformer making postpartum movement at home as easy as can be. A life saver for my body and mind at the moment 🙏🏼”

She Runs On The Treadmill

Mornoney likes to run on the treadmill in order to do some cardio. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing so. Moroney captioned the post. “Let me tell you this, being postpartum and running again is an EXPERIENCE. You’ve got more things jiggling than ever 😂To my big booby girlies, how do you ever do this!!!”

She Uses Weights

Moroney likes to use weights to workout. She shared this video of herself doing hip thrusts with a barbell on Instagram. She captioned it, “Disassociating or just dying… or both 😂🥵Let me get real for a second ⬇️Getting back into lifting has been a bit of a slap in the face, I have never actually had a set back this big before in regards to my capabilities as an athlete. I’ve never seriously injured myself, or had any reason to slow down and because of this I have noticed now that I’ve always been working at doing more or remaining in a maintenance phase of strength, general fitness or skill work. PP is a big deal, there is no room for ego’s or silly expectations, you must just look after yourself and put in the work and be okay being a beginner again 🙏🏼”

She Does Hip Thrusts

In the previous Instagram video, Moroney is seen doing hip thrusts. According to Gymless, hip thrusts are very beneficial. “Hip thrusts are a controlled and powerful movement, mainly focusing on the glutes, hamstrings, lower back, and core. This exercise is vital for developing a stronger posterior chain, contributing to improved athletic performance, alleviating lower back pain, and enhancing overall physique. Considering that about 65 million Americans experience some form of back pain, hip thrusts are a great exercise to include in your routine.”

Suits and 9-1-1: Lone Star legend Gina Torres is back to working out after a break. “Hey everybody. Happy Friday. So listen, today was my first day back at working out after having to take a few months off old injuries, new injuries, nursing them, taking care of them, travel, being sick,” she said. “So listen, I want you to hear this, okay? What I'm telling you right now with my full chest, it's important to keep moving for your health because what I'm feeling right now is—,” well, what she said next we can’t print, and Torres bleeps the word with a hilarious shrieking sound effect. Let’s just say it’s a synonym for, she’s feeling the burn. Here are more of her wellness tips.

1. She Has a Great Take on Aging

When asked about her place in the industry, Torres told Cherry Picks: “I can honestly say that I am profoundly grateful to have gotten to this place in my career. I’ve survived! And I’m hardly the only one. There is a lovely and growing list of women of my generation who are being embraced and valued for the richness of talent they bring to the work. I could not have imagined when I first started out that the roles I would be getting at this age would be as interesting, challenging and across so many genres. One thing I would love to see change is the obsession with physical perfection at EVERY age. The pressure to achieve and maintain an unnatural state of beauty is beyond damaging.”

2. For Self-Care, She Tends to Her Hair

“Sharing a little self care moment,” Torres captioned one post, shouting out LaShandra N White. “Some of the amazing styles that @1nicnac creates for me on @911lonestar require a lot of smoothing and controlling products. You big hair & curly girls know it’s not about washing it out and styling everyday…. So midweek ~ to avoid too much buildup, I keep my crown protected and just give the perimeter some extra love and conditioning. Have you ever done this?? What’s your go to for hair care? Let’s share some tips!”

3. She Tries to Make the Most of Her Time

“Frankly, there’s just never enough time. The hours that actors keep are brutal. If you’re fortunate to be based in your home town, then maybe you get to drop them off at school or be home for dinner. But sometimes you need to travel and be away because the vast majority of us have to go where the work is. The only advice I can give is to make the most of the time you get, and to be kind to yourself. You’re not doing anyone any favors by punishing yourself for holding down your household and/or following your dream, not to mention being an example of a fully realized woman,” she told Cherry Picks.

4. She Has Perspective

She’d tell her younger self to “hang in here. “I would tell that to my 35-year-old self. The messaging is the same, which is: What is yours is yours. It doesn’t matter the road you choose to get there, you’re going to get there. You can get there quick, or you can take the scenic route, and that’s all about choice. I firmly believe your blessings are yours, and we get them when we’re ready. We get them when we’re supposed to,” she told Glamour.

5. It Really is Important to Keep Moving

“As we age, our bones can become weak and fragile. This causes a condition called osteoporosis, where bones lose density and the risk of fracture increases. The good news is, as little as 30 minutes of physical activity each day can help strengthen your bones and prevent osteoporosis. Weight-bearing activities such as walking, jogging and climbing stairs are great places to start,” says Sun Health Wellness.

I’ve been doing pilates, I’ve been doing yoga, I’ve done just plain old walking. I wear 10 pound weights on my ankles while I’m working just so that as I’m moving during the day I’m constantly building muscle. It’s not great for your back but I’m doing it anyway. I do a booty workout thing that I just did for Shape, which was really fun. And I do Zumba. I have DVDs and I dance around like a crazy person in my house.”

She Builds Confidence

Over the past few years, Sydney Sweeney has become one of America’s sweethearts with celebrated roles in everything from hit HBO shows Euphoria and White Lotus to big-screen movies Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Anyone But You. In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
