Maya Jama In Bikini Is “Work & Play Balancing”

Maya Jama has found a successful work-life balance. And her latest Instagram post proves it. Maya recently shared a carousel post of some recent activities she did. In one photo, she is seen floating in a pool wearing a bikini. In another, she enjoyed a night out with a friend. Maya captioned the post, “Work and play balancing.” How does she look so good? Read on to learn 5 of Maya Jama’s workout and beauty tips, and see the photos that prove they work.
She Does Hair Masks
Maya has gorgeous locks and she makes sure to take care of them. She shared her secrets with WhoWhatWear. “I often do homemade hair masks. I mix olive oil, eggs, avocado, honey and warm it slightly in the microwave. I run it through my hair, then put a plastic bag over it so it gets a bit sweaty and steamy. Leave it for an hour and wash it off. My mum told me it years ago, and I’ve been doing it ever since.”
She Takes Care Of Her Skin
Maya also makes sure to take care of her skin. She shared her routine in her WhoWhatWear interview. “I try and get a facial at least once a month just because of all the travelling. I have a pretty basic skincare routine. I use the CeraVe cleanser and cream, and it really does the job. I love my MIJ face masks and use them at least three times a week and use the MIJ under-eye masks every single morning.”
She Works Her Entire Body
When Maya exercises, she makes sure to work her entire body. She shared her routine in an interview with Women’s Health. “Before my trip to Australia for I’m A Celeb, I started a vigorous summer workout plan, which consisted of three sets of burpees, jumping squats and planks, followed by seated shoulder presses, squats, crunches and press-ups.”
She Works Out In The Morning
One way Maya ensures that she works out on a regular basis is by exercising in the mornings. She tells Women’s Health that this helps when she has to film Love Island. “When I’m away filming, I try to wake up early so I can fit in a workout before arriving on set. It helps get me in the zone. I previously did a South African road trip with [personal trainer] Alice Liveing for work and she taught me that quality over quantity is key. I’m really busy at the moment so it’s easy to just say, ‘I don’t have the time to work out’, and quit.”
She Loves Pilates
One of Maya’s favorite forms of exercise is Pilates. “Everyone I know is riding the Pilates wave, so I decided to start and I’m absolutely loving it,” she said to Women’s Health. “It’s a lighter workout but you’re using every single muscle. You can also do it at midday, and it doesn’t leave you drenched with sweat. It’s the only form of exercise that I don’t have to talk myself into doing, and that’s a big thing for me!”
