Megan Roup is a fitness expert. She is known for being a trainer to the stars and founding The Sculpt Society. In a recent post on Instagram, Roup announced some exciting things coming to The Sculpt Society. She captioned it, “I am SO excited to be bringing strength to @thesculptsociety with @breekoegel! This latest addition will allow you to challenge your body in new ways, while still staying true to our mindset of moving with intention and joy. Who’s ready to try a new way to sculpt?!”
She Does Planks
Roup shared this video on Instagram of herself doing planks. She captioned it, “Planks are amazing because they are a full body exercise. But if you aren’t seeing results from your planks, it could be because you’re making these super common mistakes with your form! 1. Make sure your hands are directly under your shoulders so you can actively press through the floor to find length in your back. 2. Are you experiencing lower back pain in a plank? It might be because you have an anterior tilt (arch in your lower back) while planking. Instead, set up the exercise with a neutral spine, while actively wrapping your transverse abdominals and breathing. 3. You’re holding your breath. Making sure you’re breathing through core exercises is really important. If you see your core coning or doming in a plank, this might be because you’re holding your breath. 4. If you need to, take your range of motion down or bring your knees down to the floor for a modified plank. A higher leg or a full plank doesn’t mean better if it’s compromising your form.”
She Cooks
Roup shared this video on Instagram of herself making butternut squash soup. She captioned it, “The perfect dish for a cozy day 🤎 Butternut squash soup recipe by @vegan.healthy.plan! Seasoning: 1 tsp Black Pepper. 1 tsp Ground Cumin. 1 tsp Paprika. 1 tsp Dried Thyme. 1 tsp Dried Rosemary. 1 tsp Chili Flakes optional, to taste.”
She Intuitive Eats
Roup revealed in the caption of this Instagram video that she intuitive eats. “In my early twenties, I tried every fad diet and fell into the trap of yo-yo dieting. I struggled with restricting foods, calorie counting, binge eating, and constantly thinking about food, which was exhausting. I felt so burned out by diet culture. Finally, I tried intuitive eating, which became a major self-care tool for me. I no longer believe in having rules around food—my food philosophy is all about balance. These days, I eat for both nourishment and enjoyment. To me, food freedom simply means not restricting my diet in any way, and not labeling certain foods as good or bad. It’s about listening to what my body really needs— and the same philosophy applies to my workouts.”
She Does Low-Impact Workouts
Roup’s workout program focuses on sculpting and low-impact exercises. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram video. “I used to think I needed an hour of cardio a day and this led me to dread working out. Now I sprinkle in cardio and focus on low impact full body sculpting. If this resonates with you, check out 12 Days of TSS on @thesculptsociety app! We’re counting down this year’s most popular workouts by category and Day 3 is a 30 min full body with no cardio!”
