In 2021, Megan Thee Stallion started a fitness journey and documented her newly adopted healthier ways. She launched a popular "Hottie Bootcamp" series on Instagram and in each video, she showed fans how she was making healthy lifestyle changes, including how she eats. "The things I've been eating are not so good for my body and have been slowing me down," she said in one video. She added, "This is about me just getting healthy in general and me seeing how I can transform my body in the healthiest way possible." Since then, Megan has remained committed to her boot camp and recently posted a video of an intense routine wearing tight blue short shorts and a matching top. And this weekend she posted a swimsuit photo of “Healing and Renewal.” Read on.

1. She's Consistent

Working out every now and then isn't going to produce great results, but Megan has been regularly hitting the gym and showing off her workouts. The artist does everything from weighted sled pushes to lifting heavy weights and her dedication shows--just look at her MTV Video Music Award outfits!

2. She Puts in the Hard Work

You can show up to the gym, but if you aren't putting in the work, positive changes won't happen. Megan works out hard and although she jokingly complains about the intensity of her training, she does it. "I do not suggest this if you're not trying to be a first responder, " she teased as she ran up in the sand."

3. She Does Cardio

In addition to strength training, Megan gets in cardio. Wearing super short black tie-dye shorts and a black top, the singer does the elliptical machine and dances around after showing off her results.

4. She Does HIIT

Megan recently teamed up with Nike coach David Carson to show how you can get an effective workout in without equipment in just 10 minutes. "I feel like I'm not scared of you no more," she joked to Carson. 'I'm ready for this workout." After their warmup, the two did squats, stand-up crunches, lateral lunges, and more.

5. She Switched Up Her Diet

To help kick off her health journey, Megan's trainer Timothy Boutte helped her throw out unhealthy food like chips, cookies, and other sugary snacks. He then stocked her fridge with healthier options like strawberries, blackberries, pineapple, avocados, almonds, sea bass, seasonings like paprika and chili pepper, and more.

Courtney King is taking mirror selfies at the gym – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the fitness influencer flaunts her amazing figure in an exercise set during a sweat session. She shared the image via her Instagram Stories. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Nutrition Is Key

Courtney maintains that diet is extra important when trying to get into shape. “Nutrition is key to achieving the physique you want. The saying that you can’t out-train a bad diet is one I believe in 110%,” she told Muscle & Fitness.

Portion Control

Portion control is fundamental, per Courtney. “Of course you would love to eat the whole box of your favorite cereal, but it’s all about balance and controlling the amount you consume. That way, you can eat the things you like most—in moderation,” she says.

Protein and Veggies

Courtney stresses the importance of protein and produce. “Be sure to include protein in your meals throughout the day. I get my protein from lean whitefish, chicken, ground turkey, eggs, and whey protein shakes,” she says. As for veggies, they’re “packed with fiber, vitamins, and minerals, so make sure to get enough servings of colorful, healthy vegetables each day,” she says. According to clinical trials, consuming more protein than the recommended dietary allowance not only reduces body weight (BW), but also enhances body composition by decreasing fat mass while preserving fat-free mass (FFM) in both low-calorie and standard-calorie diets.

Healthy Carbs and Fat

She also eats healthy carbs and fat. “Carbs are not evil. I incorporate lots of carbs into my diet depending on the times I train and what I’m training for. Carbs I prefer include oatmeal, quinoa, rice (brown and white), sweet potatoes, essential flaxseed bread, and Cheerios,” she says. “Avocados, walnuts, almond butter, olives, and flaxseed oil are healthy fats that are always welcome in my diet.”

Keep a Food Journal

Courtney suggests writing down the food you eat. “Having a notebook or a journal to track your progress can have a very positive effect. It holds you accountable for what you’re eating each day,” she says. There is scientific evidence supporting the benefits of meal planning. Studies the more meals you eat prepared away from home, the higher your risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer, and early death. And, one study published in the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity found meal planning was associated with a healthier diet and less obesity.

In the episode, Boutte describes the challenge as “exercise for 30 seconds, then rest for 30 seconds,” and repeating this process. “It’s a total of five different kettlebell exercises, we’re going to try to repeat that thing three times, which would basically equate to about 15 minute workout,” he says in the episode. However, Boutte had Megan do the exercise five times and for 30 minutes in the episode. The workout consists of swings, goblet squats, Bulgarian squats, lunges, and suitcases, all with a kettlebell.

Water Skiing

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
