Singer Meghan Trainor is getting ready for her stint on American Idol by showing off a dance routine on social media. Trainor, 30, shared a video of herself wearing black leggings and a long-sleeved shirt, going through her performance routine with backup dancers. “@americanidol here we come! @tpain can't make it but we gon make you proud! LOVE YOU T-PAIN! 🥰 #beenlikethis DC: @brookieandjessie,” she captioned the post. Here’s what Trainor’s health and wellness regimen looks like.

1. Slow and Steady Weight Loss

Words,Weight,Loss,Written,On,Chalkboard,With,Measuring,Tape,OnShutterstock

Trainor lost weight the old fashioned way. “I did it the healthy way, the long way, the one pound a week way. And it's a proud accomplishment that I never thought I could ever do,” she told PEOPLE. “And now getting through a C-section and getting through that, just checking off goals of, 'What else can I accomplish?' It makes you feel unstoppable. And you're like, ‘There's nothing I can't do.’”

2. Baby Weight Gain

Trainor came around to getting pregnant just as she reached her goal weight. “That was really emotionally crippling, trying to go from like, 'Oh, I'm down to my healthiest I've ever been, but I know I'm about to grow big again,’” she told PEOPLE. "And I had to keep reminding myself, ‘It's healthy for the baby. I got to get big for the baby. And I've done it once. I could do it again.’”

3. Working Mom

Trainor is grateful for the support she gets as a working mother, although she had guilt in the past that her therapist helped her with. “No, you're not a bad mom, you're a working mom, and you're working to support your family and to love your family,” she told Parents. “I think when you have a kid you just realize, ‘Wow, life is beautiful and precious. I want to be the best for my kid.’ I've never been more motivated.”

4. Postpartum Body

Trainor is honest about how she feels in relation to her postpartum body. “A lot of women are out there posting their stretch marks, and they write, 'I love my tiger stripes, they gave me my boy.' I love my baby, but I can't look at my stretch marks and honestly say, 'Wow, I love them,' you know? It feels like I'm telling my truth. I heard that when you have a baby, you get more creative, and my lyrics are changing,” she told Parents.

5. Numbers Are Just Numbers

Trainor is embracing the idea that weight and health look different on people. “Because I've seen so many people on TikTok now open up, and I'm like, 'Here's what it looks like to be 180 pounds.' Everyone's body's so different,” she told PEOPLE. “You could see a girl who's really tall in a bikini, showing off her 185 pound body or something. And I'm like, 'Wow. It's so interesting how weight sits differently on everyone.' Numbers are just numbers. Whatever makes you feel the healthiest is where you should live.”

1. She is Back on the Wellness Track

Diane-GuerreroDiane Guerrero/Instagram

During the heart of the pandemic, “I feel like at the beginning I was kind of working out in an unhealthy way. I think I was just going for it because I felt like that was something I could control and of course that wasn’t sustainable. And I wasn’t really going online or taking classes or anything like that because I - I don’t know I felt like I had to deal with this on my own, but that wasn’t sustainable so I kind of fell off and now I’m really looking forward to introducing some new stuff into my routine as well, you know before I was on this working out alone tip and I’m LONELY now. I want to connect with people so this is an exciting way,” she told HOLA.

2. This is What She Listens to When Working Out

“I‘m actually a 90s girl! It’s really funny cause I’m trying to get pumped and listening to- actually no- Alanis Morissette can really pump a girl up and you have such a mix you have some Alanis to TLC to Salt and Pepa so I’m into it, it takes me back to when I was a kid and free,” she told Hola.

3. This is Her Morning Ritual

“I have hot water and lemon every morning before I eat anything. I drink that so my stomach settles and because it’s good for your digestion. Plus, the lemon gives me an energy boost that I can’t get from coffee. It’s part of my morning ritual, and rituals are really good to balance stress and anxiety. This one really helps me a lot,” she told Glamour.

4. This is One Go-To Meal

Los Angeles Premiere Of MGM's "Respect" - ArrivalsMatt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images

“That would be a vegetable stir-fry because it’s so easy. I put olive oil, salt, pepper, a little paprika to have a little spice, and a little bit of apple cider vinegar to give it a bit of a tangy flavor. I make it with couscous or rice, and then grab the vegetables from the fridge and put them in a stir-fry. You can have a meal for two days,” she told Glamour.

5. She’s a Warrior

Guerrero is an activist, and has written about the deportation of her Colombian parents, which happened when she was just 14, in her shattering memoir In the Country We Love. (She also wrote My Family Divided, a coming-of-age memoir.) “My last name means warrior,” Guerrero said. “I am the daughter of immigrants. It’s not my entire identity, but certainly informs it. I’ve been able to use that truth to really propel me forward in a time where the odds were really against me. And a lot of the odds are against a lot of people who go through separation or the systemic barriers that are in place for a lot of black and brown women,” she told SheKnows.

1. This is How She Stays Grounded

“I try and read every single day. It grounds me and makes me feel in control. And I absolutely love thriller novels, so it keeps me entertained. I also feel like pleasure reading everyday keeps your brain active and your body calm. I also drink at least half my body weight, in ounces, of water every day. Staying hydrated is such a must- and I genuinely feel better when my body is fully hydrated. And I two walks a day, with my puppy, is always a must. Of course, for Emmy, but also to keep my body active and fresh air always makes me feel better. Some days, when I am having a really hard time waking up, I'll go on an early chilly walk with Emmy and it sets such an awesome energized tone for the rest of my day,” she told E! Online.

2. She Works Out Using Virtual Reality

“Honestly, my favorite way to break a sweat right now is playing VR. We got a virtual reality headset, right as everything was shutting down, and it's been AMAZING during quarantine. There are so many games that make you work up a sweat and it's so awesome. I am genuinely so sore after I play,” she told E! Online.

3. She Tried Zumba During the Pandemic

amfAR Gala Los Angeles 2021 - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

“Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — to help improve cardiovascular fitness,” says the Mayo Clinic. “Zumba is an aerobic activity that can count toward the amount of aerobic activity recommended for most healthy adults by the Department of Health and Human Services. The guidelines recommend at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity a week, or a combination of moderate and vigorous activity. But even small amounts of physical activity are helpful. Being active for short periods of time throughout the day can add up to provide health benefits.”

4. She Has a Trainer Who Gets Her

2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards - Red CarpetMatt Winkelmeyer/2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards/Getty Images

She and trainer Paolo Mascitti have an understanding. “If my body is so sore and I need a day off, he's so understanding about that,” she told Self. “My mental health is the priority, and my mental health is always better when I am active. But sometimes when your body hurts, you're like, I can't do anything, I don't want to get up. And so he's very patient. If there's a day that I feel the need to be a little bit more gentle with myself, he's great.”

5. She Likes Group Classes

23rd Costume Designer Guild AwardsStefanie Keenan/Getty Images

“I always do a little bit better in a class setting or in-person, just because I think that I have a competitive nature in workout classes,” she told Self. “So I feel like I can really hit it hard.”

6. She Celebrates Good Times, Come On

Veuve Clicquot Polo ClassicGregg DeGuire/Getty Images

“Whenever [her boyfriend] Anthony [de la Torre] and I finish a workout or finish doing something that will better our physical bodies or our mind, he makes us clap and validate ourselves. We put on... I think it's called ‘Celebration,’” from Kool and the Gang, she tells Bustle. “He puts on ‘Celebration’ on speakers around the house. We're supposed to celebrate ourselves for 30 seconds or a minute because, he says, you have to tell yourself to celebrate these small steps that you've taken to take care of yourself. So when I finish working out, we clap and dance. It’s awesome.”

7. This is Her Wind-Down Routine

Premiere Of Disney's "Mulan" - ArrivalsAxelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

“I’m the type of person who works out in the morning to get it over with, because I know that when I get home, I just want to take a bath and eat some pasta and watch a show. So that’s what I do. Anthony… and I have been doing these incredible magnesium CBD baths every night. That’s been really amazing for my muscles because I’ve been working out more to get ready for my next movie. With everything our bodies have gone through in the past year, it really is so important to tell your muscles that it's OK to relax and to let your body heal. So I highly recommend tub time,” she tells Bustle.

Duff shared her favorite healthy breakfasts in an interview with Molly Sims’ blog. “I wake up really hungry, and I am obsessed with these cauliflower rounds. They look like pita and are super clean. They look like pita and are super clean. I’ll make that and top it with an avocado, an egg, or a vegan sausage from Beyond Meat. I like to do overnight oats.”

2. She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Duff also shared her skincare routine with Molly Sims. “While shooting Lizzie McGuire, I had a bout of acne, but I’ve never had severe acne. About eight months ago, I started using Biologique products and just live for them. I also cleaned out everything and went totally clean with all my makeup and hair, and then I discovered Biologique. But now I’m getting more into balms, and I love to be greased up and oily. I love Tata Harper and this German line called MBR, and I always make sure to exfoliate twice or three times a week with the Revive Exfoliator.”

3. She Believes In Herself

Duff shared her best piece of advice with Molly Sims. “Fake it until you make it; that’s what everyone is doing. Put your crown on, speak up for yourself, and believe in what you’re doing; other people will believe it too. It’s so scary to fail, and obviously, we know the importance of failing but how are we supposed to get everything right the first time? But it’s hard to fail. Especially because everyone is someone now, we all live our lives on social media; even if you have 10,000 followers or 100 followers, everyone in your world is following you, so you just have to do it.”

4. She Works With A Trainer

Duff works with trainer, Chelle Mahoney, to help her stay in shape. According to ACE Fitness, doing personal training sessions has a lot of benefits. “Most of us work harder in the presence of others. Having a trainer by your side can provide the encouragement, energy and motivation you need to jumpstart your routine. A trainer can also help you set goals, create a plan to accomplish them and celebrate the day you reach them.”

5. She Does Mountain Climbers

Hilary Duff.5Hilary Duff/Instagram

Duff doing mountain climbers in her story has a lot of benefits. Gymless reports, “Mountain climbers are an explosive compound bodyweight exercise that targets the full body, especially the arms, shoulders, core, and quads. This exercise has a cardio component to it which will develop your muscular endurance as it requires you to begin in a plank position, and alternate between bringing one knee to the chest, and back out. Although mountain climbers seem basic, they will have your heart rate pumping, therefore, burning calories, and helping you to achieve more definition in your core region! This exercise is readily accessible at your convenience whether it’s at home, in the office, in the hotel room, or in the parking lot.”

In a recent interview with People, LeAnn revealed that she recently started focusing more on self-care. "About six months ago, I started really focusing on taking care of myself," she told them. Breathwork and meditation are an essential part of her new routine. "A big part of my life has been overriding my body because I've had to show up and be on all the time. I've had to care about what people think of me for so long. So not abandoning myself and what I need has been a big shift."

2. She Is Committed to Fitness

LeAnn tries to work out four days a week, no matter where she is. “I take a jump rope with me everywhere I go, so it’s easy to do and easy to do bodyweight workouts in my dressing room,” she told Us Weekly. During her workouts she tries to focus on her glutes. “I do like my butt,” she confessed. “I did something on Instagram called Tight Tush Tuesday and everybody kind of freaked out about it, so it’s become a thing. I work pretty hard on my butt.” Tennis is another one of her favorite ways to sweat.

LeAnn has a workout buddy in her husband, Eddie Cibrian, who is “on the same page” as her when it comes to health and fitness. “He likes to be a boy when he works out and make noises and grunt and stuff. 4. Her Diet Is Healthy

LeAnn maintains a healthy diet. She usually starts the day with a green smoothie, and eats a healthy lunch and dinner, maybe something with a cauliflower base, topped with a protein like marinated and baked tempeh or grilled chicken, and lots of greens and veggies. However, she does allow herself to indulge on occasion. “Sometimes nourishment is the cake, the chips, the pizza, and the mac and cheese," she told Women’s Health.

5. She Chants

LeAnn is a big fan of meditation and chanting, even releasing a chant record, CHANT: The Human & The Holy, in 2020. “I've been creating chants to infuse and send out alongside of my @soulofeverle candles and I had no idea how they would be received, or how much you would connect with my new adventures. I felt so inspired by the overwhelming LovE that you sent my way that I knew I wanted to expand upon the clear nod from the universe that I was on to something special,” she wrote.

In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Earl Gibson III/Penske Media via Getty Image

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
