Meghan Trainor Says This Weight-Loss Drug Helped Transform Her Health

Meghan Trainor was recently honored with a Hitmaker award at Billboard's annual Women In Music event. While there, the "Dear Future Husband" singer showed off her impressive figure.
Meghan has been refreshingly open about her weight-loss journey and body positivity. After having her two kids, she spoke about losing pregnancy weight. In addition to lifting weights and bumping up her workout game, the singer revealed a weight-loss drug totally transformed her health.
She Takes Mounjaro
Meghan shared a little bit about her decision to take Mounjaro in a recent Instagram carousel post.
She wrote, "Feeling so honored to be recognized by @billboard Women in Music as a Hitmaker—what a dream! But it's a little disheartening that so many of the questions (and comments) were focused on my body instead of my music, my passion, or the decade of hard work that got me here. This is what it's like to be a woman in the music industry."
The celeb added, "No, I don't look like I did 10 years ago. I've been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me. I've worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I'm so glad I did because I feel great. Here's to celebrating talent, growth, and the power of putting yourself first. Let's keep shifting the convo to what REALLY matters."

She Found the Right Workouts for Her Body
In addition to taking Mounjaro, Meghan kicked up her exercise game. When the "All About That Bass" singer appeared on the Today show, she shared, "I try to go three times a week of lifting weights. I didn't know lifting weights would change my life so much … I was like, dying, trying to run on the treadmill, and it made me swollen."
Meghan also spilled some of her wellness secrets to Entertainment Tonight at the Women In Music ceremony. She said she's learned what exercises work best for her. "I learned a lot of tricks that I had no idea [about]," Trainor said to ET, as reported by PEOPLE. "I was working out so incorrectly for so long. I was running and doing cardio and my body was inflamed, always."
She Takes Supplements
Mounjaro isn't the only thing Meghan Trainor takes to improve her overall health and wellness. She's also a big fan of supplements.
"Anything that'll help me age backward, I'm into it," she told ET, as reported by PEOPLE. "I just learned about the NADs [food supplement capsules]. I was like, 'make me Hailey Bieber, I'll do it, I'll take it' … I'm trying all the things. I love a doctor explaining stuff to me."

She's Kind to Herself
Meghan also recently shared some advice and opened up about her mental health journey.
She told PEOPLE, "Go easy on yourself, be kinder to yourself or try… if you're not there yet, start, start doing that because you have to rewire your brain. I've been rewiring my brain for a while in therapy and I'm getting better, but it's the thing I'm working on every day. It's like cleaning your house. It's gonna get messy again and then you have to clean it again. And like working on the gym, you gotta go back or else you'll lose it all."
