Michelle Dee is a model and a pageant girl. She and her friends recently did some running. Dee shared a video on her Instagram story from the day. In it, Dee wore a two piece set of workout gear. She captioned the post, “Gave up after this video.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Michelle Dee stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
1. She Goes To The Beach
Dee loves to go to the beach. She shared these photos on Instagram of herself at the beach. Dee captioned the post, “Dora goes to El Nino.” The South African College of Applied Physiology states that going to the beach has a lot of mental health benefits. “A study by researchers from Harvard, the University of Massachusetts Medical Schools, and the German Bender Institute of Neuroimaging, showed that regular meditation significantly changes the brain. Specifically, it changes the grey matter concentration in the brain regions associated with learning and memory processes, emotion regulation, and perspective-taking. Furthermore, according to psychologists, listening to the waves activates the parasympathetic nervous system. This slows us down, allowing us to relax and feel more engaged.”
2. She Eats A Lot Of Protein
Dee shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Garage.com. She says that she makes sure to get enough protein in her diet. “My go-to diet is very low in carbs but high in protein. Before a shoot, if it’s on a short notice, I do a fast and eat only fruits. If there’s enough time before a project, I follow the Paleo and Atkins diets.”
3. She Cooks

Dee loves to cook. She shared some of her favorite meals to make in her Garage.com interview. “I try to do things the healthier way, because I still love steak. I love cooking chicken, pasta, and pizza, and I get good comments about my red velvet cakes and cupcakes. Now that I’m working as a model, just imagine my struggle with food.”
4. She’s Competitive
Dee tells Garage.com that she’s very competitive, and that her background prepared her for this. “I grew up in a ranch, did a lot of ranch work, and I loved horses. That was my first taste of adrenaline, followed by the one I later got from sports. I tried out for the varsity team and I got in, becoming a member of the swimming, softball, basketball, and volleyball teams. I’m very competitive, but mostly with myself. I want to be my own best version.”
5. She Runs

As you can see from her Instagram story, Dee loves to run. According to John Hopkins Medicine, running has a lot of benefits. “The mental benefits don’t stop when you finish your run — regular cardiovascular exercise can spark growth of new blood vessels to nourish the brain. Exercise may also produce new brain cells in certain locations through a process called neurogenesis, which may lead to an overall improvement in brain performance and prevent cognitive decline.”
