Here’s how she stays in shape.

Michelle Keegan is an extremely successful actress. She is best known for her roles in Fool Me Once, Coronation Street, and Our Girl. Michelle recently shared some highlights of her life on Instagram. In them, she took a walk with her dog, went to a baby shower, got her makeup done, ate dinner, among other things. Michelle captioned the post, “Just a little bit of recently.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Michelle Keegan stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1

She Works Out In The Morning

Michelle shared some of her workout secrets in an interview with Cosmopolitan. She says that she exercises regularly, and she makes sure to get it out of the way each day. “I prefer to do it in the morning to get it out the way, but it is literally whenever I can fit it in that I’ll go. If I go early morning I tend not to have breakfast first and I do feel better afterwards because then I feel like I’ve set myself up for the day. But warming up takes longer in the morning, it takes longer to get going.”

She Does At-Home Workouts

Michelle made sure to workout during the pandemic. She told Women’s Health that her husband inspired her to do at-home workouts. “The fact that he [Mark] would roll out of bed, go into the garden, and I could hear him setting up outside and I thought ‘I’ve literally got no excuse, I’m in the bedroom.’ I literally did it there and then – got my gym mat on the floor and I did half an hour HIIT in the bedroom, and it just set me up for the day and made me feel a lot more positive with what was going on at that time.

She Weight Trains

Michelle loves to weight train to keep herself in shape. She tells Cosmopolitan, “Now I feel like the more I do weights, the more I see a change in my body. For my body, weight training is better for me. I do alternative days, so one day I’ll focus on my legs, and the next day I’ll focus on my arms.” The Mayo Clinic reports that strength and weight training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories.”

She Bikes

Michelle tells Women’s Health that she likes to bike ride to stay in shape. “I got into cycling, and I’ve never been into cycling in my life,” she says. “I really got into it, and I really, really enjoyed it.” Better Health states that cycling has a lot of benefits. “Riding your bicycle regularly is one of the best ways to reduce your risk of health problems associated with a sedentary lifestyle. Cycling is a healthy, low-impact exercise that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from young children to older adults. It is also fun, cheap and good for the environment.”

She Doesn’t Eat Red Meat

Michelle also opened up about her diet to Women’s Health. She says that she doesn’t eat red meat.  “I’ve never really liked the taste, ever,” she revealed. “I’ve never been one to go out and have a steak, I’ve never craved it. Even with a roast dinner, if my mum would serve lamb or beef, I’d always leave it to the side. A few years ago I did a photoshoot with a lamb and that just threw me, it put me off lamb.”
