Millie Bobby Brown in Bikini Is “An Absolute Icon”

Here are her diet and fitness habits

Millie Bobby Brown is soaking up the sun – and the attention – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Stranger Things star flaunts her amazing figure on the beach. She captioned the series on Instagram snaps with cute beach-inspired emojis. “An absolute icon,” commented Florence by Mills, the brand she partners with. “You are amazing,” added another follower. How does the star approach health and wellness? Here are some of her go-to diet and fitness habits.

1

She Strength Trains

Millie is “obsessed with working out. I eat like a pig so it kind of makes up for that,” she told Vulture. Millie’s main workout is strength training. In one of her Instagram Stories she perfectly executed knee-to-chest reps, an arm routine, and also did ab work. The Mayo Clinic explains that strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you develop strong bones, manage your weight, enhance your quality of life, manage chronic conditions, and sharpen your thinking skills.

She Boxes

Millie boxes, but it’s “not a training workout. I train to box,” she told Vulture. “Obviously I don’t want to do it professionally. But I have done some inter-clubs before.” She works out at Phoenix MMA U.K. in London. “It’s a great gym, and I have lots of friends,” she says. “So I like to go to the gym. I do Thai boxing Mondays, jujitsu Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Wednesdays.”

She Scuba Dives

Millie scuba dives with her husband, Jake Bongiovi. “Just keep swimming,” she captioned a recent post. Like snorkeling, scuba is a great aerobic exercise, burning calories, and offering other health benefits like improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Aerial Silk Workouts

Millie also loves aerial silks. “It’s always been a passion of mine,” she gushed to Glamour UK. “So I find using aerial silks really fun and therapeutic – it gives me a break from the world. And you find art within it. While I was doing it, I thought, gosh, the silks in so many ways represent womanhood: there’s strength, both masculinity and femininity, and you can create poses and shapes that are so different to show your sexuality,” she continued. “It represents so much: you can be big and you can be tiny and you can be afraid of the silk. You can be afraid of the height you are going at. You can be afraid of how low you are. And so it represents a story.”

Drinking Coffee/slidetitle]

Millie is a coffee drinker. “Quick coffee break on set ☺️☕️♥️,” she captioned a post. The Cleveland Clinic explains several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.
