Minka Kelly in Bikini Is “the Happiest” in Italy with Dan Reynolds

Here is how the actress stays fit

Minka Kelly is living her best life in her bikini. In a new social media post, the Ransom Canyon star shows off her amazing body while celebrating her birthday with boyfriend Dan Reynolds and her best friends. “Love is at its most necessary when we are weak, when we feel incomplete, and we must show love to one another at those points. A few of the women in my life who showed me that love when I was my weakest decided to surprise me in Italy for my birthday. One of my greatest bday gifts was to share the love and joy in my life today and celebrate together. I’m the happiest most thankful woman I never knew I’d get to be. Only took me 45 years!” she writes in the Instagram caption. “Do the work. Course correct when you find yourself stuck in destructive patterns. Especially if you find you’re the common denominator in all the drama. Make friends with your nervous system. Tune into it and take gentle care of it. Protect your peace. Follow your joy. You actually get to be mindful and choose the quality of your thoughts which has everything to do with the quality of your life. Self awareness is key. Humility is paramount. Find your gratitude. Start small. Let it all go. Life is a trip. And I’m so thankful for all of it.” How does the star approach diet and fitness? Here are her diet and fitness secrets.

1

Balance

Minka maintains balance. “I just enjoy my life and I enjoy food and I enjoy a glass of wine but I also try and balance it out and take breaks once in a while,” she told People. She also listens to her body. “I just pay attention to how I’m feeling and try to keep that in check,” she added. “I know if I’m feeling sluggish.” This includes fast food on occasion. “I love fast food, it’s really bad,” she told People. “But that’s the truth. I’m not perfect.”

2

Hydration

Minka prioritizes hydration. “I just try and make sure I’m drinking enough water,” she told People. “I really subscribe to the adage of today’s lack of energy is due to yesterday’s lack of water. I really notice a difference when I’m drinking enough water, how much energy I have the next day. So I feel like if I do have a Big Mac, if I just drink so much water it’s just going to wash it all out.”

She Doesn’t Eat Starch with Protein

Minka doesn’t eat starches — like bread, rice, potatoes, and pasta — with protein. “It’s so hard on your digestion, and your body works overtime, which is why I’m so tired after a huge Thanksgiving dinner,” she told Delish. “I just feel better.”

4

Dancing

Minka takes dance classes at her friend Robin Antin’s studio in West Hollywood. “You don’t have to be particularly coordinated. It’s called a Grooves class, and you’re just sort of mimicking the teacher,” she explains. “You’re just sort of freestyling with them for an hour, and that’s an amazing way to do cardio,” she told Delish.

VersaClimber Classes

Kelly is also a fan of Jason Walsh’s 30-minute VersaClimber classes. “You go in there and the music is loud, and the lights are down, and you work really hard for 30 minutes,” she told Delish. “You sweat your butt off and you feel great afterwards.”
