Alessandra looks at social media as self-care. "For me, I have to use social media as entertainment in a way," she told StyleCaster. "I try to focus on the good parts, especially people helping and embracing certain causes. It should be fun."

Get a Massage

Alessandra loves relaxing with a massage, especially when she is traveling. "Depending on where I am, I like going to the spa to get a massage too. [Self-care is] definitely on the go," she told the publication.

Do a Face Mask

"When I travel, I'll do a mask on the plane. My friend Mimi Luzon has this great anti-wrinkle mask that you can put on and leave all night. Or if you're on a plane, you can also wear it because it's see-through, so no one can see it," she says.

Enjoy Aromatherapy

"I love aromatherapy too. Essential oils always inspire me and put me in a good mood. I love lavender, peppermint and lemongrass," says the model.

Get Your Zen On

Alessandra gets her zen on. "I love meditations and yoga. I like doing ashtanga yoga, but it depends on how much time I have during the day. I'll do maybe 50 minutes, but I really love going to classes where I can do an hour and a half," she said. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," they said. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."

Take a Bath

You can also find Alessandra relaxing in a hot bathtub. How can baths do your body and mind good? They have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.
