Model Lauren Chan Poses In Bikini For Sports Illustrated Swimsuit

Lauren opted for an olive green bikini, highlighting her curves.

Lauren Chan first made waves as a member of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 2023 rookie class. There, she inspired many with her thoughts on mental health and body positivity. Lauren is also a part of the magazine’s 2025 edition. In it, she posed in the water wearing a green bikini. SI Swim editor-in-chief, MJ Day, talked about Lauren in an Instagram post of the shoot’s caption. “@lcchan is rewriting fashion’s narrative. As a model, activist and entrepreneur, her why is about making people think of beauty in a way that’s inclusive, genuine and empowering. As a writer, she challenges the industry’s narrow standards, offering a new vision where all bodies and stories are celebrated…”

She Knows Nothing’s Permanent

Lauren has had a long career, from editing for Glamour, to launching a fashion line, to modeling. Throughout it all, she’s managed to keep a work-life balance. She tells SI Swim that one way she does so is by reminding herself that nothing is permanent. “I think that the old me tended to feel when I was working 12-hour days and going from meeting to office to event and doing it all again the next day, that that was going to be forever, and that can get really heavy.”

2

She Spends Time Outside

Another way that Lauren manages her mental health is by going outside once or twice a day. “Just taking that little bit of time back in the morning to walk the dog, have a coffee, get up slowly and not in a rushed way, and in the afternoon, still get some sunshine, walk the dog again, have a breath of fresh air before I start cleaning or making dinner or working out really helps me,” she explained to SI Swim.

She Accepts Herself

Lauren shared these photos on Instagram of herself about to shoot her SI Swim cover. In the caption, she opened up about her journey to finding self-love. “I’m in my thirties, my tits have fallen, no workout ever toned my mid-section, my skin is loosening, any ass I had is looong gone…and I feel better than ever,” Lauren wrote. “Actually, I could cry while I type that. Because I all-consumingly, tenderly, comically, fucking *finally* love this body. (I feel like I could stand outside of a window in the pouring rain with a boom box for this body!) And to be crystal clear: that’s not because I’ve gotten any smaller, it’s thanks to the shift in my mental health that has come from living as my authentic self, being in love with a woman, and learning that vulnerability has produced the most beautiful parts of my life.”

She Advocates For Size Inclusion

Lauren was one of the earliest advocates for body diversity and size inclusion in the fashion industry. And she has no plans to stop now. Lauren talked about the importance of this in an interview with Page Six. “There’s certainly been a regression in size inclusion in the past few years. It’s important to focus on the outlets and the people and the brands that are standing by their ethos of inclusivity. We still exist – I’m a size 12 to 14 on this cover.”

She Has A Simple Skincare Routine

Lauren’s skin is amazing, and she doesn’t do a lot to maintain it. She tells Into The Gloss that her routine is pretty simple. “I’m quite lazy when it comes to skincare, but over the years, I’ve deduced that I need to do somewhat of a ‘full’ routine in the morning. That means I cleanse, tone, treat, moisturize, and sometimes protect. At night, I just cleanse and moisturize. That’s it.”
