Victoria Silvstedt is heating up the gym – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the model shows off her amazing body in a crop top and skirt in a mirror selfie during her workout. In them, the 49-year-old looks half her age. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Mediterranean Diet

Victoria is all about the Mediterranean diet. “I get some many questions how I keep my body in shape ... by eating less refined carbs sugars and junk food .. the best for me is a well balanced Mediterranean diet,” she revealed in an Instagram post. “I try to avoid eating carbs and especially before a photo-shoot. I also try to limit my amount of red meat intake. I guess you can describe my diet as a Mediterranean, wholesome and vegetable-based diet,” she added Arabian Moda about her eating habits. She is “not your green juices 24/7 kind of girl,” adding that she has a few cheat meals and drinks. “I must have a dessert everyday and especially chocolate. And what is a night like without a glass of wine?”

2. Supplements

Victoria ensures she is getting all her nutritional needs met with the help of supplements. “So many people ask me how I stay healthy and in shape…my secret is taking this cell-enhancing anti-again total balance women’s Premium for 10 years,” she revealed in a recent Instagram post.

3. Walking

“I love to do power walks,” she added in the post. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

4. Pilates and Yoga

“I love working out outdoors like doing some yoga and pilates every now and then,” Victoria told Arabian Moda. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

5. Running

Victoria also enjoys jogging. “I prefer to go running outside rather than to workout at the gym,” she said. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.
