1. Fakhri Loves Yoga, Pilates, and Weight Training

Fakhri loves yoga, Pilates, and weight training. “I’m a follower of yoga but I also incorporate other things into my fitness regimen,” she told the Hindustan Times. “I love Pilates. I’m doing a lot of weight training these days with swimming, treadmill cardio and some HIIT exercises. I like to mix things up because it makes things exciting for me. I think when you keep a mix, you tend to lose weight faster. Yoga is not only for weight loss. Yoga is one exercise for me, which is for the body, mind and spirit. This is why I love it so much. When your body is healthy and your mind is not, it’s not going to get you anywhere, it’s vice versa. You need a combination of both.”

2. Coconut Water and Dried Fruit

Fakhri stays hydrated by drinking two liters of water a day. “I also have coconut water daily and make sure I eat something every two hours,” she told Suhaag. “My snacking is limited to health foods like walnuts, almonds and dried fruits. At night, I try to eat a light meal, but sometimes I don’t succeed. I absolutely love desserts and, yes, I cheat very often. I think the key is not to be hard on yourself, but use moderation. One should eat everything in the required quantity. You must know what suits your body the best.”

3. Talent Over Looks

Fakhri knows the movie industry is focused on looks, but believes you need much more to survive. “I think looks are important but not as important as your skill as an actor is,” she told IANS. “It's your craft and your ability to perform needs to shine. The audience will come to see a pretty girl on the screen, maybe twice, but after that they want you to bring more to the table.”

Norouzi practices intermittent fasting when she wants to reset her health and fitness. “During Covid, I put on a lot of weight around 8 kilos, this was because I felt sick and I was back in Germany enjoying food with my family but when I came back I had to lose weight because I had to start shooting for my shows,” she told Women Fitness. “I started to follow intermittent fasting and it has definitely helped me a lot, I feel more energetic. It has helped in cleansing my body when it comes to eating appropriate portions and not consuming a lot of junk. My favorite cheat meal has to be pizza!”

4. Learning Hindi

Norouzi taught herself to speak Hindi to work in Bollywood. “It’s been 5 years since Sacred Games and I can say that I haven’t been fully accepted,” she told Masala!. It’s still a big struggle to make people believe that I can speak Hindi fluently, or that I could be as good as any other Indian actress. But I can sense that I am on the right track of being fully accepted. It’s obviously been very hard but that’s what I chose.”

5. No Luck, Just Hard Work

Like Billy Zane’s character in Titanic, Norouzi doesn’t believe in luck. “I was 14 when I started modeling,” she told Mag the Weekly. “I started working with photographers, taking pictures, reading a lot about modeling. Then one thing lead to another. I don’t believe in luck as such, I think I’m really hardworking. When I look back to the things I have done in life, how hard I had to work to get here, I really think I was not lucky.”

At night, I usually use an oil and a serum. Right now, I love the Clarins Double Serum. In the morning, I use a Vitamin C serum and an SPF, and, typically, I just rinse my skin with warm water instead of using a cleanser. It is something I swear by—it allows for the oils on my skin from sleeping to absorb naturally.”

I love the Good Janes H2OMyGod Moisturizer—it's sort of an all-in-one moisturizer that has vitamin C and collagen peptides. As for vitamin E, I actually just purchase the oil from the drugstore. Abigail swears that abiding by simple rules helps her stay in shape. “I can’t diet. That just doesn’t work for me,” she told New Beauty. “I started to be healthier by first cutting out soda. Then, I stopped eating after 7 p.m. Finally, I started really watching my portions so I was eating fewer calories every day. And water—lots and lots of water.”

Abigail explains being accountable for what she eats is crucial. While it’s not “rocket science,” she does use the MyFitnessPal app to track her eating. “I’m the type of person who likes to eat what I want. The app can help anyone do that—you can still eat great food, you just eat less of it,” she added New Beauty.

Pilates

Abigail is a fan of Pilates. “Group workout classes are so big right now, but I always get nervous around other people in settings like that. I have to go at my own pace without a bunch of distractions so, for me, Pilates with a one-on-one instructor works best. It’s not cheap, but then you also aren’t tempted to skip,” she said She added to Men’s Fitness via Muscle & Fitness that the workout “keeps you long and lean” — and the Mayo Clinic agrees. They say it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

“I love green juices and smoothies. Sometimes I’ll put some protein powder in the morning—I feel like the mix of vegetables, and vitamins and stuff that’s in them, really gives me a lot of energy in the morning. I love BBQ food—my ultimate cheat is a pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and macaroni and cheese from this great place in LA,” she told Men’s Fitness.

Ratchford also lifts weights. “Initially, I made the mistake that a lot of girls do and I was only doing cardio. I just really didn’t see too much change in my body. I’ve been listening to my girlfriends who are in great shape and they say you have to do weight training, you have to go in and do squats. That’s my new thing—I’ve been doing some resistance training, circuit training,” she told Men’s Fitness. The Mayo Clinic explains that strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:
