Natasha “Tash” Oakley is an extremely successful model, businesswoman, and wellness influencer. She’s the founder of Monday Swim and The Pilates Class. Tash recently took a trip to Los Angeles to promote the latter company. She shared some highlights from the trip on her Instagram this week. In them. Tash wore a gray two-piece set of workout gear. She captioned the post, “Last 18 hrs.” Here are 5 of Tash Oakley’s fitness secrets.
She Does HIIT
Tash shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Women’s Health, including her favorite workouts. “On the days that I am really busy, I will do a 20-minute HIIT training workout,” she says. “I was like, ‘so I can burn as many calories in this 20 minutes as I would in the gym for an hour?!’ My routine is warning up on the treadmill for 20 minutes, including sprinting, and then a mixture of core, arms, butt and legs.”
She Doesn’t Drink Alcohol
Tash makes sure to eat a healthy diet, and she tells Women’s Health that she has decided to cut out alcohol for this reason. “I live a really balanced lifestyle, and that includes my food,” Tash says. “I still allow myself coffee and a glass of wine now and then, but alcohol is the one thing that I think really makes me gain weight because you’re not aware of how many calories you’re taking in.”
She Balances Her Workouts
When it comes to fitness, Tash makes sure to balance her workouts. She tells Net-A-Porter that she doesn’t pressure herself to workout every day, and if she skips, she’ll do an intense workout the next day. “I don’t feel guilty if I skip a workout,” she says. “I know I eat well and will train that much harder the next day. If I don’t do any exercise I’ll at least do some stretching. I workout 3-4 times a week using the Body By Gilles program.”
She Takes Baths
One of Tash’s go-to recovery methods is taking baths. “It’s so important to me that even when I travel, I only book hotel rooms that have a tub,” she revealed to Net-A-Porter. “I travel with Epsom bath salts and Aromatherapy Associates bath oils. Traveling on a plane all the time gives me such bad, achy joints that it’s a great way to relax.”
She Loves Squats
Tash doesn’t skip leg day. She tells ELLE that this lower body workout is one of her go-to moves. “I would have to say squats are the number one move! But, no matter what you’re doing, consistency is key, so I commit to doing the workout 3-4 times a week to really see results.”
