“I made the choice not to return for season two of ‘Rings of Power.’"

Nazanin Boniadi is an actress and activist. She's known for her roles in Ben-Hur, How I Met Your Mother, Counterpart, and recently, The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power. On Instagram, she announced her departure from the series on Instagram. She captioned it, "I made the choice not to return for season two of 'Rings of Power.' This was unrelated to my subsequent decision to prioritize my advocacy." How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Nazanin Boniadi stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1

She's An Advocate

Boniadi is an advocate, and she revealed in her Instagram post's caption that this is why she left The Rings Of Power. "Throughout my career, the values I have held most dear are honesty, empathy and integrity.  My character Bronwyn was committed to these same ideals in striving for a fairer world, which is why I connected so deeply with her. I look forward to sharing my latest projects with you soon."

She Does Yoga

Boniadi went to a wellness retreat in 2021, and shared some of the things she did in this Tweet. One thing she likes to do is practice yoga. John Hopkins Medicine states that yoga has a lot of benefits. "Yoga improves strength, balance and flexibility. Slow movements and deep breathing increase blood flow and warm up muscles, while holding a pose can build strength."

Boniadi revealed in her Tweet that she practices meditation. The Mayo Clinic states that meditation has a lot of benefits. "Meditation is a type of mind-body complementary medicine. Meditation can help you relax deeply and calm your mind. During meditation, you focus on one thing. You get rid of the stream of thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress. This process can lead to better physical and emotional well-being."

She Eats Plant-Based Food

Boniadi revealed in her Tweet that she eats plant-based food. MD Anderson Cancer Center states that a plant-based diet has a lot of benefits. "Plant foods reduce inflammation. Plants' essential nutrients work to resolve inflammation in your body. The same tiny phytochemicals and antioxidants that boost your immune system also go around your body neutralizing toxins from pollution, processed food, bacteria, viruses and more."

5

She Hikes

In her Tweet, Boniadi revealed that she likes to go hiking. Assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Edward Phillips, tells Harvard Health that hiking has a lot of benefits. "Hiking over uneven terrain requires more energy than walking on a level surface, so it burns more calories. If you are hiking uphill, your body has to work even harder. A rigorous hike may offer many of the same physical benefits as interval training, which alternates low- and high-intensity exercise to increase cardiovascular fitness. During a hike, your heart rate goes up as you move up an incline and drops when you head downhill."
