Nazanin doesn't stress too much about her diet. In a YouTube she revealed she started her day with a bagel and cream cheese. For dinner or lunch, she might have leftover salmon, rice, and veggies. For dinner, she will usually cook a meal – like Persian chicken and rice. "We really want to incorporate more protein," she said.

Walking

Naz loves walking. "Don't underestimate the power of walking 🙌🏼 I love popping on my headphones, listening to my audiobook, & getting some fresh air with my babies," she captioned a post. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Nazanin also likes to strike a pose – in the heat. "Hot yoga sculpt will always be it," she captioned a TikTok video. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," they said. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."

Hot Pilates

Naz also likes the heated up version of pilates. "Hot Pilates is my fave workout ever," she revealed on Instagram. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it "strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health. It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Protein Shakes

Nazanin is obsessed with protein shakes she buys at Costco. "This has 20 grams of protein and only three grams of sugar," she said in her YouTube video, revealing that sometimes she drinks them as a meal replacement. "I try not to skip breakfast, but again, if we're on the go, I'll just drink one of these, but it's also just a nice little, I need something sweet. Just need a little snack."
