NCIS Star Daniela Ruah Shares Swimsuit Photo From Malibu Triathlon

Here are her lifestyle tips.

NCIS star Daniela Ruah is feeling on top of the world after completing a triathlon and raising money for charity. Ruah shared a reel of the day, including lots of shots of herself and her co-stars hitting the waves in wetsuits. "Sunday was amazing! Not only did I achieve a huge goal (look mom I did it!) but I did it alongside wonderful friends AND the @malibutri raised over $1.2 MILLION dollars for @childrensla … Congrats to everyone who participated! & Thank you so very very much to all who donated! The whole journey has been unforgettable. Shall we do it again next year???" she captioned the post. Here's how Ruah stays so fit and focused.

1

Outdoorsy Type

Ruah is happiest being outside in nature with her dog. "Hanging in nature with my nature bathing suit made from recycled plastic bottles and my nature hat that planted 10 trees when I purchased it, and my nature husband and nature dog… nature nature nature," she captioned an Instagram post.

2

Fight Training

Ruah has plenty of fight training, says co-star Eric Christian Olsen. "[Ruah] does so much of her fight stuff. When you see a knife fight with Dani that's like four minutes long, that's all Dani. She spends the time to learn all that stuff. In all honesty, what that means is that on top of having two kids and doing the show, she goes someplace and rehearses that fight scene for hours."

3

Action Hero

Ruah loves the physicality of her role. "The most fun thing is the action sequences, as well as destroying cars," she says. "I have to say that's quite fun, but that's more of a superficial thing. I absolutely love our banter scenes. When the whole cast is sitting in a room and we're all picking on one of the characters, I absolutely love doing those scenes. When everyone is there, the day is a little bit longer, of course, because the more actors you have, the more coverage you have to do, but they're such fun days."

4

Dancing Queen

Ruah loves to dance, and has been doing so since she was young. "Do I dance at home? Sure," she says. "Sometimes my son and I will prance around the house and dance. He responds to music so wonderfully, but I wouldn't say it is something that brought me back into shape. I didn't do any (dance) classes. I wish I had. It was mostly gym work with a personal trainer, jogging, working out with the kids, and eating healthily."

5

Workaholic Lifestyle

Ruah genuinely enjoys her job and the long hours it sometimes requires. "I have to admit that I'm a little bit of a workaholic, but not that I want to be in an office space for 24 hours a day," she says. "I've had such good experiences with every job that I've had so far in my career that it's like going to meet a group of friends. It's so easy when I go to work. It's long hours, don't get me wrong. We all get tired of being at work sometimes, and you want to go home to your family, but generally speaking, we have such a good time and it's such a positive environment that I want to keep doing it."
