Indian actress and model Neha Dhupia is opening up about her 50 pound weight loss in a new social media post. Dhupia, 43, shared before and after pictures of herself to highlight the change, with the ‘after’ picture showing her sitting on a yoga mat in blue workout gear. “Let me start by saying it wasn't easy... living with the weight or trying to shed it. Post both my pregnancies the weight gain or living in a larger body that I wasn’t used to was extremely tough to come to terms with. To say that I have reached my optimum best , I’d say I’m far far away but to say I have given my best till now… I sure have. I feel better, fitter and far more confident than I ever did. As a mother of two and an actor, entrepreneur and runner I couldn’t be happier sharing this with everyone.” she captioned the post. Here’s how the star stays fit, happy, and healthy.
1. Daily Workouts
Dhupia arranges her workouts around her children’s schedule. “My fitness routine post motherhood is more scheduled,” she told Indian Express. “Earlier, I used to enjoy very early morning walks or a late night run, but now I cannot do that as I have to finish my yoga or run before my little one wakes up, and she usually wakes up around 8. So, I have to wake up a little earlier to finish my exercises. If I must squeeze in another workout, it is usually in the afternoon, so I time it around her nap time.”
2. Overhauled Diet
Dhupia cut out sugar and gluten, and started eating an early dinner to lose weight. “I believe in a combination of home-cooked meals and healthy snacks,” she told Indian Express. “I stick to healthy home-cooked meals. I look at food differently now. For me, it’s nutrition first and then the taste factor. We are what we eat and how healthy we feel after all!”
3. Two Trainers

Dhupia used two personal trainers to kickstart her weight loss. “Day 1 of my journey started over a year and a few months ago with a sense of belief and self love that hey… come on you can do it too. I called two of my most favorite trainers … my run coach @mirandabrinston and my yoga sir @rohitflowyoga and without any questions asked a day later I was training with both alternatively and somewhere I say hope,” she says in her caption.
4. Travel Workouts

Dhupia tries to squeeze in a workout even on busy days. “It would be a quick online yoga session, and if I do not have time at all, I usually pack in stairs, I go up and down the stairs for 40 minutes wherever I am staying,” she told Indian Express. “And if I don’t have time for that as well, so just quick 2,000 skips, side leg raises, and some ab crunches.”
5. Working Through the Pain
Dhupia says the weight loss was not easy but she couldn’t be happier with the results. “I felt the aches, the pains the need to show up, the inability in my body to reach the optimum I had left it at, the fatigue which is hard to put down in words between two babies, work, a home that needs you 24 x 7 and of course no shift in the way I looked. The truth is there are no shortcuts, there is no easy way around it , there is also no rocket science … stay consistent, work hard and show up especially on the days you don’t feel like it at all! If you are feeling like I was a year and a half ago and feel you need to do something about it… please do! Get up, get out, work out and love yourself! Cause there’s just one you!” she captioned the post.
