New Girl's Hannah Simone in Workout Gear Says "Oh Canada"

Simone shared some highlights of a trip to Canada she took.

Hannah Simone first got her start as a VJ for MuchMusic and the host of Space For Living. She then started her acting career. Simone notably played Cece Parikh on New Girl. She currently stars on the ABC series, Not Dead Yet. In January, Simone shared some highlights of a trip to Canada she took. In them, she went to the beach, enjoyed poutine, and wore a black top on a boat ride. She captioned the post, "Oh Canada." How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Hannah Simone stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

She Makes Smoothies

Simone shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Parade. She says that she loves making smoothies in the morning. "I try to have breakfast. That's something I really aim to do, which is sometimes tricky when you start at 4 in the morning. I usually make the Fab Four Smoothie that Kelly LeVeque created. I find that keeps me full all day. It's got the protein and healthy fats in it."

She Prioritizes Happiness

For Simone, wellness means doing what makes her happy. "My dad is a Buddhist and he taught me that you should do what makes you happy in life," she explained to Parade. "That your wellness is directly linked to your happiness. So I feel like that's a healthy approach for me. If I indulge and eat a cupcake or spend four hours on the couch binge-watching Queer Eye for the Straight Guy with a girlfriend of mine, I leave happier. I'm smiling. I know that's something that's beneficial for me."

She Works Out With Others

Simone shared some of her workout secrets with HelloGiggles. "I like working out with someone, otherwise I don't feel motivated—I like company," she said. "So I work out with Amy Rosoff, who's a phenomenal trainer. I actually worked out with her really intensively to get ready to shoot a pilot called The Greatest American Hero—so when I was training to get into a super-suit. Trust me, you want someone who can whip you into shape and get really good results."

She Works Out Every Day

For Simone, fitness is a daily practice. She tells Parade, "I try to work out every day. Just a good time and space to not only do something that's physically good for me, but you put your phone down and you're just a little more in tune with your body. Those are the things I try to do because I just feel better about myself at the end of the day when I do them."

She Keeps Her Wellness Simple

Simone explained to HelloGiggles why her wellness routine is all about simplicity. "When I used to take 12 vitamins, and every single time I'd go back to the store I would grab a few more, I found that really stressful because I didn't know if it was doing anything. When I used to have a gym membership and I would feel guilty because I never went, and then when I would go I would just wander around, then it felt like work. Now, it doesn't feel daunting anymore."
