Iris Kyle is sharing a little motivation – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the celebrated bodybuilder and 10 times Miss Olympia champion shows off her muscles in exercise clothes while sharing her “experience and journey within the IFBB organization,” she writes in the Instagram post. “In this sport we call bodybuilding, it’s important to acknowledge the realities of competition—it’s not a race. The challenges, setbacks, and all the highs and lows are simply part of the journey. For anyone considering becoming part of this unique and elite sport, know that it requires dedication, resilience, and a love for continuous self-improvement. Bodybuilding isn’t always in the media spotlight, but it’s a discipline that builds character and a strong community of individuals who are passionate about pushing their limits. It’s about striving for personal excellence and embracing the process, both the struggles and triumphs, that define our paths. This sport offers so much more than meets the eye, and it is a deeply rewarding journey for those who choose to embark on it.” How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Heavy Lifting

If you want a bodybuilder physique, you are going to have to lift (a lot) for it. “I'm a person who always trains by the basics. It is not a science in my training regimen.... So I continue to training from heavy lifting to super sets, drop sets, high repetition etc,” Iris told RX Muscle.

2. Daily Exercise

Iris trains almost every day. “During the offseason I train five days a week with two off, raining one body part per day with three days of cardio. During contest mode I train every day, including cardio working two body parts per day. As the weeks expire, I simply add supersets, drop sets and high reps. There's no secret I train smart, not hard,” she said.

3. Rest Day

Iris takes one day a week off. “Sunday is a rest day so my day begins with visiting the house of the Lord. Not every Sunday I attend but at least every other Sunday. Afterwards brunch then the rest of the day is pretty much up in the air,” she says.

4. Strict Diet

Iris also maintains a strict diet. “Far as my diet is concerned, we both know dieting is dieting. You have to do it to look sharp, especially us women, we have to lower or minimize portions. I pretty much duplicate my same diet. If not broken, why try to fix it.”

5. Macronutrients

According to Muscle Mecca, her well-balanced diet focuses around the macronutrients she needs to support her intense training and improve her general health. She sticks to high-quality sources, like lean meats, fish, eggs, and plant-based foods like legumes and tofu.
