Katy O’Brian, star of Love Lies Bleeding, is showing off her muscular physique in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the actress flaunts her amazing figure during a trip to Scotland, wearing exercise pants and a crop top. “Gorgeous,” commented one of her followers. How does the actress approach health? Here are her top diet and fitness tips.

1. Pay Attention to Your Symptoms

Katy understands how important it is to pay attention to your body’s cues. It took a year of confusing symptoms before she was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, an autoimmune condition with symptoms including diarrhea, abdominal pain, and intense fatigue. “My symptoms started at least a year before my diagnosis when I suddenly lost 15 pounds. Then I was just so tired, to the point of feeling like I could barely function, especially after a bigger meal. Meanwhile, it wasn’t unusual for me to have diarrhea four times over the course of a 12-hour day of filming. I had no idea what was going on, so I chalked my GI issues and fatigue up to nerves,” she told Self. “Then there were some weird symptoms that you don’t typically think of as being part of Crohn’s: I developed open sores on the corner of my mouth; I started having night sweats; and when I experienced even the slightest surprise, it felt like a bolt of electricity was shooting through my body.”

2. Do Martial Arts

Katy is also a “martial arts instructor” and teaches classes. Studies confirm that the practice helps with balance, cognitive function and psychological health in addition to weight loss and physical fitness.

3. Lift Weights

Katy understands the importance of strength training. While filming Love Lies Bleeding she did two to three hours of cardio and lifting at the gym every day. “My character, Jackie, is training for a bodybuilding competition, so in addition to filming gym scenes and some pretty intense action scenes, I had to work out for multiple hours every night once I got home,” she told the publication.

4. Pay Attention to Your Diet

Top,View,Composition,Of,Nutritional,Supplements,On,Light,Background.,MultivitaminShutterstock

“Paying attention to how my body reacts to different things has been a game changer for me. I’ve had to just try different things and see how they affect me. For instance, I have issues with high-fat foods and spicy foods. (Although I have to admit, while I moderate how much spicy food I eat, I’m not ready to give it up completely.) I’ve also found that taking a multivitamin that includes a digestive enzyme before I eat a questionable meal tends to work really well,” Katy said about her diet. “The filmmakers did an amazing job of making sure I was taken care of on set. I had a nutritionist who was responsible for all my meals, which made it easy to eat really healthy and to avoid my trigger foods,” said Katy.

5. Try New Exercise

Katy is always trying new exercises.”Been a bit overwhelmed lately with awesome opportunities which I’m sosososo happy for, but I definitely feel I’ve had too much mental fatigue during my workouts to be as effective as possible when left to my own devices. Thankfully Steve @atighteru pulled some fun exercises out today to fully occupy my brain. I’ve been lifting regularly for about 10 years and I don’t think I’d ever done a single one of the numerous exercises we did today. Always a learning experience!” she captioned a post.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.Hot Tub Soakshttps://www.instagram.com/p/CpdDd16JCK3/Meaghan loves soaking in the hot tub. “live footage of me ignoring all my problems,” she captioned a photo taken in Utah. Alissa Violet is a successful influencer and YouTuber. She also has a large following on Instagram. In September, she shared a carousel post of her recent life updates on her account. In the post, Violet is seen spending time with her dogs, hiking, and going to a fitness class. She captioned it, “September.”

She Hikes

Violet is seen hiking in her Instagram post. Harvard Health states that hiking has a lot of benefits. “‘Navigating a winding, wooded trail can help your body build endurance, strength, and coordination,’ says Dr. Edward Phillips, assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School. ‘Hiking over uneven terrain requires more energy than walking on a level surface, so it burns more calories. If you are hiking uphill, your body has to work even harder,’ he says. A rigorous hike may offer many of the same physical benefits as interval training, which alternates low- and high-intensity exercise to increase cardiovascular fitness. During a hike, your heart rate goes up as you move up an incline and drops when you head downhill.”

She Swims

Violet also likes to swim to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself in a pool. Violet captioned the post, “It’s giving nirvana.” Harvard Health states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Relatively few people swim on a regular basis, so large studies looking at the benefits of physical activity in relation to cardiovascular health have tended to lump swimming together with other types of exercise. Plenty of evidence points to lower rates of heart disease among people who do regular, moderate- to vigorous-intensity exercise — and swimming laps definitely fits the bill.”

She Goes To Fitness Classes

Violet shared this video on YouTube of some of her favorite workouts. In it, she is seen in a fitness class. According to Iowa State University, group exercise has a lot of benefits. “The highest quality or type of motivation is called intrinsic motivation – you’re doing something because the behavior itself is enjoyable, satisfying or both. If you enjoy exercise and not just the positive feelings you get after you’ve worked out, you are more likely to stick with it. Exercising with other people can supply that enjoyment, even if the activity itself is difficult or otherwise not something you love. Group exercise can turn working out into a fun social activity, which could lead to you continuing to do it.”

She Uses A Treadmill

Alissa Violet jigs on a treadmill.

Alissa Violet/Instagram

In her YouTube video, Violet is seen on the treadmill. Harvard Health states that doing this has a lot of health benefits. "While treadmills may seem boring, they can offer a good alternative for exercise, depending on how you use them," says Dr. Adam Tenforde, with the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard-affiliated Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. "There is so much more to treadmills than just 'push the button and start walking.' They also can be helpful for people recovering from an injury or surgery, since you can control the speed and intensity, and they are equipped with handrails for added support when needed.”

She Stretches

Alissa Violet is seen stretching.

Alissa Violet/Instagram

Violet is also seen stretching in her YouTube video. Stretching is very important. Harvard Health states, “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

She's Focused

Runck shares some of her wellness secrets on her fitness Instagram. In this post’s caption, she talked about the importance of focus. “What separates good from great in life, business or sports is your ability to focus. The ones who are the most disciplined and focused will achieve more than someone who suffers from worry and doubt. Once you make up your mind on something, go after it with all your effort. 🌟”

She Does Donkey Kicks

Runck doesn’t skip leg day. One thing she likes to do is donkey kicks. Runck shared this post on her fitness Instagram of herself doing donkey kicks with a resistance band. Runck captioned the post, “Starting my day with an at home band workout. Getting stronger with simple moves that pack a punch. 🥊 Booty training in full swing! What are your favorite exercises? 🍑”

She Eats Healthy

Runck makes sure to eat healthy. One thing she likes to eat are salads. Runck shared this video on her fitness Instagram of herself making a salad with chicken. She captioned it, “Thai-inspired Chicken Salad 🥑 - 2 cups shredded chicken - 1 avocado - 1 cup shredded carrots - 1 cup sliced cabbage - 1 bell pepper - 1 zucchini - 1 cup mushrooms - Asparagus - 1/4 cup fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup onion - 1/4 cup crushed peanuts & 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish. *Dressing* - 1/4 cup lemon juice - 2 tablespoons fish sauce - 2 tablespoons soy sauce - 1 tablespoon honey - minced garlic - 1 teaspoon grated ginger - 2 tablespoons peanut butter.”

She Works Hard

Runck makes sure to work hard. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Sweat + Sacrifice = Success. Put in the work like it’s all going to work out — and it will. Through the years, I have combined meditation, action, and weights into a single strength. I believe that when the body is strong, the mind thinks strong thoughts. Time spent away from the this makes me feel less whole. The resistance that you fight physically in the gym and the resistance that you fight in life can only build a strong character.”

She Does Sit-Ups

In this video on her fitness Instagram, Runck is seen doing sit-ups. The Cleveland Clinic states that sit-ups are very beneficial. “Sit ups are great for tightening your core. They strengthen and tone your rectus abdominus, transverse abdominus and oblique abdominal muscles as well as your neck muscles. The American College of Sports Medicine recommends three sets of 8 to 12 repetitions three times per week.”

Katya Elise Henry, a fitness model and influencer, is dedicated to maintaining her strength and health. She recently shared a gym video on Instagram, captioned, “Everyday hustle,” showcasing exercises like deadlifts and lunges with weights. From lifting heavy to enjoying outdoor activities like swimming, Henry demonstrates how consistency and variety can keep workouts effective and enjoyable.

She Lifts Weights

In her Instagram video, Henry is seen using heavy weights to workout. This has a lot of benefits. ACE Fitness states, “Using heavy weights increases intramuscular coordination, the number of type II motor units and the amount of muscle fibers engaged within a specific muscle. Have you ever felt your muscles shaking while lifting heavy weights? This is because you are recruiting and activating the larger type II muscle fibers, which are only stimulated to work when a muscle is challenged with heavy resistance or working to fatigue.”

She Does Deadlifts

Henry is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram video. The exercise has a lot of benefits. According to ACE Fitness, “When done correctly, the RDL is an effective exercise that helps strengthen both the core and the lower body with one move. Unlike the traditional barbell deadlift and other quad-dominant exercises such as leg presses, which place significant loads on the anterior portion of the knees, the RDL focuses most of the physical work on the muscles responsible for extending the hip and the knee from the posterior.”

She Does Lunges

Henry is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The lunge has a lot of health benefits. The Mayo Clinic reports, “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Squats

Henry is seen doing squats with a barbell in this Instagram video. According to Allina Health, squats are very beneficial. “The squat is one of the all-around best exercises to do for your lower body. It strengthens and tones muscles in your thighs, butt and calves and improves posture, balance, flexibility and inner core strength. Squatting also improves bone mineral density to keep your bones strong.”

She Swims

Henry spends a lot of time at the beach. She shares a lot of posts of herself there on Instagram. Naturally, Henry likes to swim to keep herself in shape. She included some photos of herself in the water in this carousel post. Better Health states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming is a great workout because you need to move your whole body against the resistance of the water. Swimming is a good all-round activity because it: keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off your body, builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness.”

She Took a Break

Ahead of the Le Golf National, Korda talked about why she took a break in a press conference. “My parents have always said, it’s very important to put your head down, grind, go to the gym but it’s also important to recharge your battery because sometimes with all the obligations that you maybe have off the golf course, and then all the emotions that you feel on the golf course that you go through, all the adrenaline, it tears at you a little bit. So it’s good to kind of step away and to recharge your batteries and to come back a little bit more fresh.”

Dani Elle Speegle isn’t just strong—she’s unstoppable. The elite CrossFit athlete and social media sensation has built a massive following by sharing her intense training sessions and inspiring fitness moments. Recently, she posted a series of weightlifting photos on Instagram, proving once again why she’s a powerhouse in the gym.

“Just a girl and her barbell,” she captioned the post, letting her strength do the talking. From lifting heavy to outdoor adventures, here’s how Speegle stays in peak condition.

She Lifts Weights

In her Instagram post, Speegle is seen lifting weights. According to ACE Fitness, doing this has a lot of benefits. “Using heavy weights increases intramuscular coordination, the number of type II motor units and the amount of muscle fibers engaged within a specific muscle. Have you ever felt your muscles shaking while lifting heavy weights? This is because you are recruiting and activating the larger type II muscle fibers, which are only stimulated to work when a muscle is challenged with heavy resistance or working to fatigue.”

She Golfs

Speegle likes to golf to keep herself in shape. She shared a video of herself on the course in this Instagram post. According to Randa aerobic exercise. “Golf can help strength and balance, improve quality of life and provide aerobic exercise. On a regular 18-hole course, most players will walk between four and five miles, burning up to 2,000 calories.”

She's Into Jumping Rope

Speegle shared this video on Instagram of herself competing in Crossfit events. In it, she is seen jumping rope. According to The Cleveland Clinic, jumping rope has a lot of benefits. “Benefits of jump rope can help improve your coordination, get your heart rate going and help burn calories — and it’s an easy, affordable way to get some cardio in.”

She Hikes

Speegle likes to hike to keep herself in shape. She shared this photo on Instagram of herself hiking the Koko Head Summit. Speegle captioned the post, “Woke up and chose pain today. Every 45 min X 3 rounds: Koko head 💀💀💀 Then sat in my car and stared into the abyss while munching on Banan 🥲🥲🥲”

She Does Cold Plunges

Speegle makes sure to recover. One thing she likes to do is cold plunges. Speegle shared this video of herself jumping into a tub. According to The Mayo Clinic, these have a lot of benefits. “Research on cold-water immersion has found evidence that it helps reduce the degree of exercise-induced muscle damage that can occur after physically challenging activities. Less damage leads to less inflammation, which in turn reduces soreness and helps restore physical performance the next day. These benefits may be the result of rapid constriction of the blood vessels due to the cold water. The cold can trigger responses in your body, such as decreased metabolic activity, alterations in hormone production and blood flow, and activation of the immune system.”

Tvesa Malik isn’t just a pro golfer—she’s a powerhouse athlete dedicated to staying in peak shape. The SuperSport Ladies Championship winner knows that strength and endurance are just as important as skill on the course. That’s why she takes her fitness seriously, incorporating weightlifting, core work, and mobility exercises into her training.

Last year, Malik gave fans a look at her workout routine in an Instagram video, where she powered through hanging crunches, lunges, and weightlifting sessions. She captioned the post, “Got some major work to do before my next session,” proving that even elite athletes are always striving to improve. Here’s a closer look at how Malik keeps her body strong and ready for competition.

She Lifts Weights

Malik is seen doing a lot of weight lifting in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that this has a lot of benefits. “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

She Does Lunges

Malik is seen shifting into lunges in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness says that lunges are a form of unilateral training, and that makes them effective. “Unilateral training is a more effective way to build functional strength (than using both legs) because these types of movement mimic other everyday motions, like walking and climbing stairs — and not just to the working leg. Research suggests the strength gains to the nonworking side are about half of the strength gains of the working side.”

She Does Core Workouts

Malik is seen doing core workouts, like hanging crunches in her Instagram video. Core workouts are extremely important. The Mayo Clinic says, “While it takes aerobic activity to burn fat in your stomach, core exercises can strengthen and tone the underlying muscles. Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes.”

She Does Pull-Ups

An upper body workout that Malik likes to do is pull-ups. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing them at the gym. Malik captioned it, “Got some major work to do before my next session.” Asphalt Green says that pull-ups have a lot of benefits. “Pull-ups are a fantastic way to improve upper-body strength. This exercise primarily targets your back and biceps, but involves many stabilizing muscles in your core, arms, and shoulders. Depending on the way you grip the bar, you can even work your chest. Plus, you don’t need any fancy equipment to do a pull-up. Tree branches, scaffolding, and even door frames are all places people can do pull-ups.”

She Golfs

Golf is obviously one of the ways that Malik keeps herself in shape. Better Health says that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Golf can be good for your health and your heart. Walking an average course for a round of golf can be between five to seven kilometres. If you walk 18 holes three to five times a week, you’ll get an optimal amount of endurance exercise for your heart. If you pull your clubs or carry them, you’ll burn even more calories each round and benefit even more.”

With 1.1 million Instagram followers, she inspires her audience with workout routines, wellness tips, and a disciplined approach to staying fit. Recently, she took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her latest gym session, including a stairclimber workout, a snapshot of her Apple Watch tracking her progress, and a post-workout mirror selfie in pink workout gear.

Her message? Consistency is key. “Don't underestimate the power of small, consistent actions! Every effort is worth it when you know where you want to go,” she captioned the post. From intense stair workouts to leg-sculpting exercises, here’s how Guper stays in top shape.

She Uses A Stairclimber

In her Instagram post, Guper is seen using the stairclimber. Stair workouts have a lot of health benefits. ACE Fitness says, “Improving metabolic health in terms of lower risks of heart problems and other complications, also by definition improves fitness. You can feel your heart working harder and the fire in your lungs when you ascend stairs. And that’s provoking important changes in your cardiorespiratory system that will make physical activities, like running and walking, feel easier.”

She’s Consistent

Guper makes sure to stay consistent with her workout routines. One way she does so is by staying disciplined. Guper talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Good morning! May we always have the discipline to do what is good for us. Amen 💪🏽🙏🏽✨ 40 min stair + shoulder and chest workout today.”

She Does Lunges

Guper shared some of her favorite lower body workouts in this Instagram video. One thing she is seen doing is lunges. According to The Mayo Clinic, lunges have a lot of benefits. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles.”

She Does Leg Extensions

In the previous Instagram video, Guper is seen using the leg extension machine. Asphalt Green says that leg extensions have a lot of benefits. “These machines provide isolation exercises for your legs. This type of exercise works only one muscle or group of muscles, which means you can build up that part of your body quickly. If you want your thigh muscles to really stand out in those shorts you just bought, the leg extension machine is for you!”

She Spends Time Outside

Guper likes to spend time outside. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself enjoying a day by the pool with her dog. Guper captioned the post, “Good Morning! What book are you reading? 📖💚🐺🌮 I'm loving reading How to become super natural! I'm already sharing saying it's a must-read.”
