Amber Valletta In Workout Gear Shares Gym Selfie After "Tough Cardio"

She's wearing a "comfy look."

Amber Valletta is clearly a believer in the no pain, no gain approach to fitness. Valletta, 50, shared a picture of herself on her Instagram stories, posing in two-piece green workout gear at the gym after an intense session. "Made it through some tough cardio! Thank you @shopform for the comfy look!" reads the text over her picture. Valletta is thriving as she hits a new decade—here's how the model stays fit, beautiful, and healthy, on the inside and out.

Meditation and Strength Training

Valletta starts her morning by nurturing both physical and spiritual health. "My dog usually wakes me up in the morning, so I go down and take her out to go to the bathroom," she told Vogue UK. "Then, I go into my library to meditate and pray, and start my morning spiritual practice. After that, I'll shower before I work out. I know that sounds crazy, but it helps me wake up. I do light weights training and a lot of bodyweight [training]."

2

Clean Diet

Valletta enjoys a balanced diet with room for indulgences. "I eat really clean and really simple: brown rice, a quinoa bowl, grilled fish, veggies, a big salad," she told Allure. "I appreciate fine foods, but that's not how I eat day to day."

3

Simple Beauty

Valletta keeps her beauty routine as simple as possible. "I'm not one of those people who spends loads and loads of time in front of the mirror," she told The Cut. "Maybe it's because I've spent my whole life in front of the mirror, getting hair and makeup done, that it bores me to tears."

Valletta sometimes washes her face with goat's milk. "It's a natural lactic acid. I don't use it every day because I travel a lot, and it doesn't travel well. Mostly, I'll just splash it on my face a few times a week after cleansing, then pat dry."

Spiritual Life

Valletta lives a very spiritual life. "I'm a seeker of the deeper meaning of life," she told Vogue UK. "I'm always interested in reading articles about people's journeys or reading books about people finding different sorts of peace or joy, and how they got there. For me, life is much deeper than a handbag. I like to seek out things that make me feel good from the inside out. To me it's what's happening between my two ears and in my heart that's the most important. I'm not religious; I'm spiritual – I do believe that there's something greater. There's a greater purpose and we're just so tiny."
