Bachelor Nation's Tayshia Adams in Two-Piece Workout Gear Looks "Beyond"
Tayshia Adams is modeling exercise clothes. In a new social media post the Bachelor Nation star flaunts her amazing figure in a few different two-piece workout sets from Beyond Yoga."Stopped by @beyondyoga's NYC pop-up today to see the new Holiday collection 💛 These sets are BEYOND… which is your favorite?" she asked her followers. "Cute tush. I love you!!" commented one of them. "Wow," added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Coffee
Tayshia starts the day early. "I'm actually a natural riser. As soon as I start to see light in my room, I naturally wake up. But, my alarm clock does go off at 6:35 a.m.," she tells Marie Claire. "Then, I grab my K-cup and make a pot of coffee in my Keurig." According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. "It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function," they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.
Strength Training
"I'm huge on routine. I love lifting weights; I do that every Tuesday and Thursday. Do I know what to do in a gym? No, that's why I have to have a trainer. Weightlifting defines the body in a different way. Right now, I think I'm squatting 135 pounds. My dumbbells range between a 20, 25, and a 30. Yea, I get down. We're on a mission to build a butt. And I will tell you something: We have really done that and I am really proud of myself," Tayshia told Marie Claire. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:
- Develop strong bones
- Manage your weight
- Enhance your quality of life
- Manage chronic conditions
- Sharpen your thinking skills
Running
"I also love to run, so I usually run either Wednesdays or Saturdays. I run at the track as opposed to running along the West Side Highway in New York," says Tayshia. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. "For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories," they say.
Yoga
Tayshia also takes rest days and does more zen forms of fitness. "Sunday, I don't work out. That's a rest day. Monday? It depends what I want to do. Sometimes yoga," she told Marie Claire. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," they said. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."
Self Care
"There are two things I like to do," Tayshia responded when asked about her approach to self-care. "A massage is always a good thing. But I also like to just sit on my couch and read. That's when I'm able to just chill out for a second. My brain stops thinking—number one, because I'm reading a book, and number two, I'm able to just sit down, relax, and give myself five to 10 minutes. I mean who doesn't like a little Colleen Hoover juicy romance novel? I'm currently reading Sweet Bitter and it's really good." According to the Mayo Clinic, studies support the many benefits of getting a regular rub down. These include stress reduction, lessening pain and muscle tightness, increased relaxation, and improved immunity.
