Bella Thorne Stuns as "Hottest Mermaid" in New Bikini Photo
Bella Thorne is heating up social media with her latest swimsuit snaps. The young actress shows off her incredible body in a bathing suit in one of her latest posts, a curation of photos from a beach trip. "Hottest mermaid," one of her followers commented on her Instagram post. "Insanely beautiful," added another. How does the actress keep herself it? Read on to see 5 ways Bella Thorne stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
She Has Workout Buddies: Her Family
Bella told Allure that fitness is a family affair. "I wouldn't say I'm in my best shape at the moment. My brother is my trainer," she said. She added to Hollywood Life that she and her family exercise together, doing "yoga, some weight training, and a bit of boxing. It's a family affair at the moment!"
She Avoids Cardio
Bella added to Allue her workout is based on strength and weight training. "[My brother] has got me doing circuit training and weightlifting—I never do cardio. A lot of people think that cardio burns off weight better than weightlifting does…but weightlifting works your muscles, getting them toned while losing fat."
She Does Yoga
Bella loves yoga, but not just for the workout. She maintains that it has been helpful in "helping her fall asleep easier at night," while also helping her feel like she "can do more in the day." There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," they said. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."
She Eats Clean
Bella maintains a clean and healthy diet. She fills her plate with veggies, fruit, protein, smoothies, and even rice and pasta. "Rice, black beans, pasta, fruit for my smoothies, veggies and some protein," are just a few of the items she keeps on hand, she told Hollywood Life. During an interview with Wired, she shared that incorporates plant-based foods. "I'm not, I'm so sorry guys. I really want to be though," she said when asked if she was a vegan, adding that she eats "a lot of vegan food but man, bacon. Oh, gets me every time."
She Fights
Bella told HollywoodLife that she is a fan of another fighting form of fitness: Boxing. She added to Allure that her brother was getting her into into "Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and Mixed Martial Arts." Why should you consider putting your gloves on, a la Bella? "Aerobic exercise gets your heart pumping and helps lower the risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. It can strengthen bones and muscles, burn more calories, and lift mood. Aerobics can also boost your endurance, which helps you climb a flight of stairs or walk farther," explains Harvard Health.
