Bianca Andreescu is a professional tennis player from Canada, taking home numerous championships over the years, defeating big names in the industry like Serena Williams. Life can get pretty busy for people in general, let alone, a professional athlete, but she never puts her health and wellness on the back burner. Starting her morning with mindful meditation, she goes from there to create healthy habits throughout the day.


1. She eats a healthy breakfast

She always makes time to eat a balanced breakfast. Eating a good, wholesome breakfast can start the day off on a high note. According to the Cleveland Clinic, “the morning is when your body is most insulin-sensitive — when it uses blood sugar more effectively. So it’s a great time to choose fiber-filled carbs that’ll help you get 25 grams or more of dietary fiber a day to help lower your cholesterol.”

2. She takes care of her skin

She makes sure her skin is clean and taken care of. According to the Mayo Clinic, “good skin care — including sun protection and gentle cleansing — can keep your skin healthy and glowing.” It’s important to protect your skin by using sunscreen, cleansing, moisturizing, and avoiding harsh soaps. “Strong soaps and detergents can strip oil from your skin. Instead, choose mild cleansers.”

3. She plays tennis

Of course, it should come as no surprise that tennis is a big part of her workout routine. She has to practice often to stay at the top of her game. According to the Mayo Clinic, “studies show playing tennis is one of the healthiest things you can do. It's good for [your] heart and brain, and can even help you live longer.”

4. She does cardio

In addition to her normal tennis practices, she breaks a sweat in the gym doing cardio, focusing on building her strength and endurance. According to the Mayo Clinic, “regular aerobic activity, such as walking, bicycling or swimming, can help you live longer and healthier.” Regular exercise can increase stamina, strength, potentially reduce health issues, among other benefits.

5. She has a balanced dinner

She ends the day with a well rounded meal for dinner. Having a balanced meal for dinner can keep her full and satisfied, likely leading to more energy and better workouts. According to the Mayo Clinic, “eating well can also decrease your chance of developing heart attack, stroke, Type 2 diabetes and other chronic diseases, as well as lower your blood pressure and help prevent some types of cancer.”
