Erin Stern, a renowned bodybuilder, recently shared a series of effective ab exercises on her Instagram, emphasizing the importance of core strength and precision in execution. Stern’s detailed instructions for exercises like pelvic tilts, single leg lifts, knee-ups, bicycles, and alternating side-ups highlight her dedication to fostering correct form and deep muscle engagement. Accompanied by tips such as maintaining a rounded lower back to better activate the abs, her post serves not only as a workout guide but also as an educational tool for her followers. This focus on technical detail supports her broader fitness philosophy, which integrates strength, stability, and aesthetics, making her a respected voice in the bodybuilding community.

1. She Does Ab Workouts

As you can see from her Instagram post, Stern likes to do ab workouts to stay in shape. The Mayo Clinic states that ab workouts have a lot of benefits. “Your core is the central part of your body. It includes your pelvis, lower back, hips and stomach. The stomach muscles sometimes are called abs. Core exercises train the muscles in your core to work in harmony. This leads to better balance and steadiness, also called stability. Stability is important whether you're on the playing field or doing regular activities. In fact, most sports and other physical activities depend on stable core muscles.”

2. She Uses Weights

Stern likes to use weights to keep herself in shape. She shared this post on Instagram of herself doing exercises with a landmine. Stern captioned the post, “Total body day - landmine edition 💪Workout: Thrusters 3x10. Deadlift 3x6-8. RDLs 3x12. T-bar row 3x10-12. Upright row 3x10 each. Shoulder to shoulder press 2xAMRAP. What did you train today?”

3. She Does Upper Body Workouts

Stern makes sure to do upper body exercises. She shared some of her favorites in this Instagram post. Stern captioned it, “Quick superset arm workout 💪Exercises: Inverse rows (emphasis on biceps). Decline push ups (triceps focused, elbows back & in). Plate hammer curls. Plate overhead triceps extensions. Cable high pulley curls. Triceps push downs (forward lean). I love starting with compound movements, as it helps increase overall calorie burn and hits back and chest. The last triceps exercise hits the long head of the triceps, which can be tough to target!”

4. She Does Cable Workouts

Stern likes to use cable machines to workout. She shared some of her favorites in this Instagram post. “My favorite cable exercises for rear delts 💪Cable crossover reverse flyes. Single arm reverse flyes. Rear delt raise. Rear delt/high rows. For all of these, think about going lighter with higher reps and using full range of motion. If you go heavier, other stronger muscles can take over and form will degrade. If you struggle to feel your rear delts, start with the single arm reverse flyes, and place your non-working hand on your rear delt to feel it working. I like to visualize myself hugging a barrel, and almost stretching my arm to reach across it without flexing at the elbow (keeping the same bend in the arm throughout).”

5. She Does Quad Workouts

Stern doesn’t skip leg day. She shared some of her favorite quad workouts in this Instagram post. Stern captioned it, “Looking for an alternative to leg extensions to build beautiful quads? Try one of these exercises: Reverse Nordic curl. Plank leg extension. Sissy squat. Heel elevated squat. These can also be great home alternatives for building that quad sweep!”

Fitness YouTuber Madalin Giorgetta in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Ab Routine"

Giorgetta shares her top ab exercises and tips for building a balanced fitness routine.

Fitness YouTuber Madalin Giorgetta in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Ab Routine"
Madalin Giorgetta / Instagram

Madlin Giorgetta, a fitness influencer with a strong presence on social media and YouTube, inspires her followers with accessible workout routines and relatable fitness advice. Recently, she shared her favorite ab exercises in an Instagram video, captioning the post, “Healed former BBG girlies unite! (IYKYK) 💥 PS still working on developing that happy relationship with my ab routine - it’s more a ‘I-know-it’s-good-for-me-situationship 😂.” From core workouts to meditation, Giorgetta emphasizes balance and self-acceptance in her approach to fitness.

She Does Planks

In her Instagram video, Giorgetta is seen holding a plank. Harvard Health states that planks have a lot of benefits. “The plank pose is where you hold a push-up position while resting on your forearms. This simple move is the ideal exercise for strengthening crucial core muscles. As you go about your day, almost every move you make revolves around your core — from picking up items on the floor to twisting to see if the coast is clear when driving.”

She Does Bicycle Crunches

Another ab exercise that Giorgetta is seen doing in her Instagram video is bicycle crunches. ACE Fitness states that these are very effective. “The bicycle crunch is the top exercise for strengthening your rectus abdominis — the muscles in front of your abdomen — according to the American Council on Exercise (ACE), beating exercises like the captain's chair, crunches and the ab roller. Bicycle crunches also play a role in supporting your back during everyday activities like running, bending over and lifting.”

She Does Donkey Kicks

Giorgetta is seen doing donkey kicks in her Instagram video. Gymless states that the exercise has a lot of benefits. “Another fantastic exercise to activate the glutes is the donkey kick. Starting on all fours, flex one foot and lift that leg behind you, keeping your knee bent, as if you’re trying to push the ceiling with your heel. This movement focuses on the gluteus maximus and helps in achieving that lifted and toned rear look. Incorporate resistance bands or ankle weights to increase the challenge as you progress.”

She Doesn’t Pressure Herself

Giorgetta talked about the importance of not feeling pressure at the gym in this Instagram post’s caption. “If you’re a first time gym go-er it can be intimidating starting your first workout. You’re not sure how the machines work, you think everyone is looking at, you feel self conscious in front of the bros… and I think lots of girlies just feel put off because they don’t know what to do or where to start 😖The best time to start is now! Show up and you’ve done half the work. Familiarising yourself with the gym will help you become more comfortable and confident 🌟You don’t have to jump into the deep end and start doing barbell deadlifts. You also don’t want to hurt yourself, slowly build your confidence with this workout routine! You don’t have to try to learn new machines or walk around the gym looking like you know what you’re doing when you actually have no clue how to use a hack squat machine. You can plant yourself in one spot, put your headphones in and zone in 💥”

She Meditates

Giorgetta likes to practice meditation. She revealed in this Instagram post’s caption that this can help with her gut health. “Stress triggers the release of hormones like cortisol and activates the sympathetic nervous system (fight-or-flight response), which can negatively impact digestive function by: 🩸 Reducing blood flow to the gut. 💩 Altering gut motility (leading to constipation, diarrhea, or bloating). 💦 Increasing gut permeability (‘leaky gut’). 🔥 Contributing to gut inflammation. By reducing stress through relaxation, visualisation meditation helps the body shift into a parasympathetic state (rest-and-digest mode), which improves digestion, gut motility, and overall gut health 🌿”

Teresa Ivancic is bronzed and beautiful.
Teresa Ivancic/Instagram

Teresa Ivancic is a professional bodybuilder. She also has a large following on Instagram. Ivancic recently shared a set of photos of herself in the gym. She captioned the post, “‘Life’s too short to put your happiness on hold. Do the things that light you up, fuel your passion, and bring you joy. When you choose happiness, you inspire others to do the same. Chase what makes your soul smile—you deserve it!’ Leg day shenanigans 🖤”

She Works with a Coach

To get herself in shape, Ivancic works with a fitness coach. She opened up about this in the caption of this Instagram video. In it, she is seen doing things like pulldowns. Ivancic wrote, “Every year you make a resolution to change yourself … This year make a resolution to be yourself! 💋Coached by @andrew_vu87.”

She Strength Trains

Teresa Ivancic is seen working out at the gym.

Teresa Ivancic/Instagram

In the previous Instagram video, Ivancic is seen doing a lot of strength training exercises to keep herself in shape. ACE Fitness states that this can have a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Hikes

Ivancic shared this post on Instagram of herself on a hike outside. She captioned it, “Spent the day out in nature with my beastie, @makenziee_fit and there’s really nothing like it. Fresh air, the quiet hum of the outdoors, and my loyal companion by my side—it’s all I need to feel grounded. Taking time to unplug and just be in the moment does wonders for the soul, clears the mind, and fuels that inner peace we all need. Nature has a way of recharging us like nothing else. Ready to bring this energy back to the grind!”

She's Inspired By Others

Ivancic is inspired by other female bodybuilders. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Throwing it back to the incredible times at the @wingsofstrength Muscle Mansion 2018! 💪✨ Surrounded by inspiring athletes, amazing energy, and unforgettable moments that remind me why I love this journey so much. 🏋️♀️Grateful for the memories, the grind, and the camaraderie that make every rep worth it. 🙌 Here’s to good times and even better ones ahead!”

She Spends Time With Her Dog

One of Ivancic’s wellness habits is spending time with her dog. She even likes making costumes for her pup. Ivancic shared this video on Instagram of herself doing just that. She captioned it, “Happy Halloween from our very own female bodybuilder @zayda_americanbullyxl. Like mother like daughter 🥰🐾Last week was peak week so she was a little cranky 😂Super quick and easy costume I put together last night for her daycare Halloween costume contest today! @whisperingwindskennel”

Caroline Idiens, a fitness influencer and creator of Caroline’s Circuits, is inspiring her followers to end the year on a strong note. Recently, she shared a video on Instagram showcasing an intense ab workout, encouraging viewers to “just start” their fitness journey. “Get into that habit before 2025 and make the next 5 weeks your strongest yet 🔥,” she captioned the post, highlighting her focus on consistency and balance. From core exercises to full-body circuits, here’s how Idiens stays in top shape and motivates others to do the same.

1. She Works Her Abs

Idiens is seen doing core workouts in her Instagram video. According to The Mayo Clinic, these are extremely beneficial. “Your core is the central part of your body. It includes your pelvis, lower back, hips and stomach. The stomach muscles sometimes are called abs. Core exercises train the muscles in your core to work in harmony. In fact, most sports and other physical activities depend on stable core muscles.”

2. She Uses Weights

Idiens is seen using weights in her Instagram video. She also posted this set of videos of herself doing a full-body workout with weights. Idiens captioned the post, “A new FULL BODY circuit‼️ You're going to love this one ~ SAVE it for later🙌 Dumbbells (or water bottles)💪🏻Give this a try > 7 exercises ✅ ⚠️Remember to do both sides with static lunge & kneeling Arnold press! ⚠️10 reps of each • 3 sets • rest 20 secs between exercises • warm up first & take slowly ⚠️For your reference I'm using 4kgs.”

3. She Does Squats

Caroline Idiens.3Caroline Idiens/Instagram

Idiens shared some of her favorite workouts in this Instagram post. One thing she is seen doing is squats. According to Allina Health, this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “The squat is one of the all-around best exercises to do for your lower body. It strengthens and tones muscles in your thighs, butt and calves and improves posture, balance, flexibility and inner core strength. Squatting also improves bone mineral density to keep your bones strong.”

4. She Does Glute Bridges

Caroline Idiens.4Caroline Idiens/Instagram

Idiens is also seen doing glute bridges in the previous blurb’s Instagram post. According to NASM, this workout has a lot of benefits. “Glute bridges are a useful exercise for building core stability, building glute strength, and improving overall exercise form and function. When performed as a stabilization exercise, glute bridges activate the glutes to function as they are supposed to in other movements like squats, deadlifts, walking, and running. Adding weight progresses glute bridges into a strength exercise, which can build strength in the glute muscles. By increasing glute activation and strengthening the glutes, not only will your form get better in other exercises, but you might also gain the added benefit of reduced low back pain in your everyday life.”

5. She Works Her Shoulders

Idiens makes sure to do upper-body workouts. She shared this post on Instagram of herself doing shoulder exercises. Idiens captioned the post, “SHOULDERS🔥🔥🔥 70 reps of 💪🏻💪🏻 Go lighter with these 🔑 time under tension • endurance ✔️⏰Try this short sharp shoulders sequence in your workouts. Perform all 6 exercises, 15 sec rest in between. Aim for 3-4 sets. 10 reps of each✅ 1. Pulse 2. Steering Wheel 3. Arm Circle 4. Single Press (both sides) 5. Narrow Press 6. Lateral Raise.”

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

It’s hard to believe that Jennifer Aniston is 55 and turning 56 in February! Since soaring to fame in 1994, the Friends star has hardly aged in the three decades that have passed – and she has never been secretive about her devotion to health and wellness. Her hard work over the years has paid off through her strong and lean body and ageless looks. Here is everything you need to know about Jennifer Aniston’s approach to longevity.

She Maintains a High Protein Diet

"My nutrition is very much the same. It's usually a lot of high protein, vegetables, salads, soups,” she tells People. “I do 80/20. I give myself days where I can have whatever I want. I don’t deprive myself,” she added to TODAY. Why should you consider amping up your protein intake? According to clinical trials, consuming more protein than the recommended dietary allowance not only reduces body weight (BW) but also enhances body composition by decreasing fat mass while preserving fat-free mass (FFM) in both low-calorie and standard-calorie diets.

She Cheats on Occasion

Jennifer allows herself to indulge in “everything I would possibly want on a weekend,” she told People. Her cheat meal “depends,” she says. “I mean, dare I sound repetitive, but Mexican food is a real favorite of mine. It's not even that much of a cheat, to be honest. Or a cheeseburger or pizza or pasta — all that stuff.”

She Tries to Get Enough Sleep

“My bigger challenge is sleep. I think that’s all part of our nutritional hygiene — the amount of water we get as well as the amount of sleep we get. It’s the combination of all of those things that make your workouts the most effective," she told TODAY.

“I’ve become gentler with myself,” she says of her approach to fitness, which has “definitely evolved” over the years. “I find that I can be gentler on my body and still get the benefits of a great workout,” she told Prevention. She specifically loves P.Volve workouts, a functional fitness that helps you “function throughout the day” and “work out your essential muscle groups to keep your body strong,” she says. “So you can live a long, healthy, strong life.”

She Hydrates

Aniston prioritizes hydration, drinking a whopping 100 ounces of water per day. "But occasionally I just have to have a Diet Coke—there's nothing like it!" According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

She Does Pilates, Spinning, Elliptical, and Running Workouts
