Tina Chandler is sharing her gratitude in her workout gear. In a new social media post the bodybuilder shows off her impressively strong body while posing for a photo and expressing thanks. “Hallelujah!” she captioned the post. “You are great,” commented one of her followers, while another added fire emojis. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. From Gymnastics to Weight Lifting

Nina explained to Kevin Saunders that she started weight lifting at 13 after years of training as a gymnast. “I read muscle magazines like Muscle & Fitness to learn lifting techniques and form. I also watched ESPN’s Body Shaping by Cory Everson religiously to see how the experts worked out,” she said. “In gymnastics, I learned a strict discipline for training on a regular schedule. I used this same discipline towards lifting weights, learning all that I could, and training every day. I created a schedule and stuck to it, just as we did in gymnastics.”

2. Healthy Lifestyle

Tina “made a promise to myself” and “made an adjustment on my mindset” to make healthy living a lifestyle. “I asked myself why I would go back to eating like ‘normal’, for example 3 meals a day with happy hour and brunches, when this OTHER way obviously was optimal for my performance, health, and wellbeing! I really started to look at this for myself and decided that eating 6 meals as opposed to 3 main meals would become my everyday ‘NORM’. I never wanted to get out of shape again, and after that I never did. After all, it had taken me 30 years to finally find answers and gain control of my body and life, I wasn’t about to lose it now! I learned that no number of tricks, gimmicks, fasting, or vegetarianism would amount to this knowledge. I was excited to have some answers about fitness and food.”

3. High Quality Products

Sport,Diet,Nutrition,And,Fitness,Equipment.,Jar,With,Whey,ProteinShutterstock

Tina shares a few things she has learned over the years. “I learned that good products matter!” she said. “I’m a big fan of Lee Labrada who made the transition from being a top bodybuilder to having the most trusted products and supplements in the bodybuilding world. Labrada Nutrition developed some of the purest products and his Proplete Whey Isolate Protein Powder was my favorite throughout most of my competing years. Labrada products are still made with great ingredients and formulas, helping pros get the right nutrition for this very demanding sport.”

4. Rest

She also learned that “rest is important,” she says. “In fact, rest and recovery are just as important as great workouts and excellent nutrition. There were times when my body was pushed so far, and I would come down with a cold or something similar. I learned that proper rest and recovery would get me back on track faster as opposed to pushing through or overdoing it.”

5. Working on Weaknesses

“I learned to LOVE to work on my weaknesses!” Tina adds. “Recognize your weaknesses and embrace them fully. Along the way, I noticed certain body parts were not as developed as the others. I would not have gotten to 8th in the world if I had not fully embraced and learned to love to work those areas I wasn’t as fond of! I reprogrammed my mind to actually LOVE working some of my least favorite areas to work. I used to hate working biceps, now I love it! Work on your weaknesses!”

Andrea Nisler, a dedicated CrossFit athlete, motivates her followers with her strength-focused workout routines. Recently, she shared a video on Instagram showcasing a variety of dumbbell exercises, including squats and Romanian deadlifts (RDLs), captioning it, “A good week of lifting - that is all 🙂 Looking forward to continuing to make it the focus this winter. Being strong > cardio (imo).” From lifting heavy to balancing cardio, Nisler demonstrates how to build both strength and endurance for optimal fitness.

She Lifts Weights

As you can see from her Instagram post, Nisler likes to lift weights to keep herself in shape. ACE Fitness states that using weights has a lot of benefits. “Using maximal loads for compound (multi-joint) movements like the deadlift, squat-to-shoulder press, bent-over row or chest press can improve intermuscular coordination, which is the ability of many muscles to work together to generate and control high levels of force through multiple joints. Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

She Does Squats

Nisler is also seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to Allina Health, squats have a lot of health benefits. “The squat is one of the all-around best exercises to do for your lower body. It strengthens and tones muscles in your thighs, butt and calves and improves posture, balance, flexibility and inner core strength. Squatting also improves bone mineral density to keep your bones strong.”

She Does RDLs

Nisler is also seen doing RDLs in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that the exercise has a lot of benefits. “The Romanian deadlift (RDL) is a traditional barbell lift used to develop the strength of the posterior chain muscles, including the erector spinae, gluteus maximus, hamstrings and adductors. When done correctly, the RDL is an effective exercise that helps strengthen both the core and the lower body with one move. Unlike the traditional barbell deadlift and other quad-dominant exercises such as leg presses, which place significant loads on the anterior portion of the knees, the RDL focuses most of the physical work on the muscles responsible for extending the hip and the knee from the posterior.”

She Uses A Fitness Bike

Nisler likes to use a stationary bike to keep herself in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself riding one at different intervals. Penn State PRO Wellness states that using a stationary bike has a lot of benefits. “Riding a stationary exercise bike is an efficient and effective way to burn calories and body fat while strengthening your heart, lungs, and muscles. Compared to some other types of cardio equipment, a stationary bicycle puts less stress on your joints, but it still provides an excellent aerobic workout.”

She Uses A Treadmill

Nisler also likes to walk on a treadmill to keep herself in shape. She is seen doing so in the beginning of this workout video on her Instagram. Healthy Talbot states, “Treadmills provide outstanding cardiovascular exercises, which can significantly enhance your heart health. Thanks to their ability to maintain constant heart rates throughout the exercise. If you’ve high cholesterol or cardiovascular issues, this can be very beneficial. They can help to diagnose cardiac issues like heart disease and artery blockages. Under normal circumstances, your body may not exhibit symptoms of these heart conditions. However, when put under pressure through a workout, those symptoms will be displayed.”

Ashlyn Little is a professional bodybuilder. She competes in the IFBB. Last month, she hit the gym, and shared a stunning post on Instagram. In it, Little showed off her figure as she posed in workout clothes. She also did squats with a machine. She captioned the post, “Just a small girl with a ant 🐜 booty hard at work 👀😂”

She Works Hard

Little talked about the importance of working hard in the caption of this Instagram post. “This shape wasn’t built in a month or a few months or a year or a few years. BUT 10 YEARS… 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 my shape has never looked like this and I started my fitness journey in 2014 😳 When I started I never put a time line on how long until I achieved a certain physique. I just told myself as long as I’m able to go to the gym and train and eat healthy that’s what I decided I was going to do. I never turned back and I never got upset for how long it took cause I knew the muscle would come eventually as long as I kept going. Here we are now 10 years later and am I happy with my progress and what I see? YES!! But I’m never satisfied and for that I keep working 😤 Each year I get a little bit better and I learn a lot more! There is NO time line for me. I just love building my physique and I love this lifestyle so for all I care the growth can be slow or fast.”

She Has Support

Little has a lot of support that helps keep her in shape. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Hardest thing in prep for me is prep goggles hands down. Seeing one thing when others see something completely different. Constantly thinking ‘am I even going to be good enough?’ During these moments I always lean on my support system to keep my eyes and mind in check. The best advice I can give is to take the thinking out of it completely & never compare yourself to anyone but you. Don’t let the mind wonder. Just do your job and follow the plan. It’s your coaches job to tell you if you’re not on point or where you’re supposed to be. I’ve worked hard on this aspect of prep this year. Not questioning just following my coaches lead. Don’t allow your thoughts to consume your mind and sabotage your prep. I’m thankful for my support system and my coach heading into the biggest show of the year. No worries, no stress, no fears. Just a lot of hard work, following the plan and keeping my mind on the daily tasks at hand AND THATS IT 💯🙏🏼🤍”

She Lifts Weights

Little shared some of her favorite lower body workouts in this Instagram video. In it, she is seen using a barbell and weights. Little captioned the post, “Glutes and hammies my first workout back home post show 🍑 it was so nice to be able to enjoy some time off with my loved ones 🥹🙏🏼 and getting back to work this week has felt so good!!! Love that refreshing feeling of a first workout back 🔥 @ccash15_ifbbpro.”

She Does Squats

Little is seen doing squats in the previous Instagram post and the post from a month ago. Squats have a lot of benefits. Allina Health states, “The squat is one of the all-around best exercises to do for your lower body. It strengthens and tones muscles in your thighs, butt and calves and improves posture, balance, flexibility and inner core strength. Squatting also improves bone mineral density to keep your bones strong.”

She Does Lunges

In her lower body workout Instagram post, Little is seen doing lunges to keep herself in shape. Lunges have a lot of benefits. ACE Fitness states, “They’re a form of unilateral training, which means you’re working only one limb or side of the body at a time. And unilateral training is a more effective way to build functional strength (than using both legs) because these types of movement mimic other everyday motions, like walking and climbing stairs — and not just to the working leg. Research suggests the strength gains to the nonworking side are about half of the strength gains of the working side.”

Teresa Ivancic is bronzed and beautiful.
Teresa Ivancic/Instagram

Teresa Ivancic is a professional bodybuilder. She also has a large following on Instagram. Ivancic recently shared a set of photos of herself in the gym. She captioned the post, “‘Life’s too short to put your happiness on hold. Do the things that light you up, fuel your passion, and bring you joy. When you choose happiness, you inspire others to do the same. Chase what makes your soul smile—you deserve it!’ Leg day shenanigans 🖤”

She Works with a Coach

To get herself in shape, Ivancic works with a fitness coach. She opened up about this in the caption of this Instagram video. In it, she is seen doing things like pulldowns. Ivancic wrote, “Every year you make a resolution to change yourself … This year make a resolution to be yourself! 💋Coached by @andrew_vu87.”

She Strength Trains

Teresa Ivancic is seen working out at the gym.

Teresa Ivancic/Instagram

In the previous Instagram video, Ivancic is seen doing a lot of strength training exercises to keep herself in shape. ACE Fitness states that this can have a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Hikes

Ivancic shared this post on Instagram of herself on a hike outside. She captioned it, “Spent the day out in nature with my beastie, @makenziee_fit and there’s really nothing like it. Fresh air, the quiet hum of the outdoors, and my loyal companion by my side—it’s all I need to feel grounded. Taking time to unplug and just be in the moment does wonders for the soul, clears the mind, and fuels that inner peace we all need. Nature has a way of recharging us like nothing else. Ready to bring this energy back to the grind!”

She's Inspired By Others

Ivancic is inspired by other female bodybuilders. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Throwing it back to the incredible times at the @wingsofstrength Muscle Mansion 2018! 💪✨ Surrounded by inspiring athletes, amazing energy, and unforgettable moments that remind me why I love this journey so much. 🏋️♀️Grateful for the memories, the grind, and the camaraderie that make every rep worth it. 🙌 Here’s to good times and even better ones ahead!”

She Spends Time With Her Dog

One of Ivancic’s wellness habits is spending time with her dog. She even likes making costumes for her pup. Ivancic shared this video on Instagram of herself doing just that. She captioned it, “Happy Halloween from our very own female bodybuilder @zayda_americanbullyxl. Like mother like daughter 🥰🐾Last week was peak week so she was a little cranky 😂Super quick and easy costume I put together last night for her daycare Halloween costume contest today! @whisperingwindskennel”

She captioned the post, “BIG things are coming 👀…Stay close—over the next few days we’ll be announcing something VERY special created JUST. FOR. Mark your calendars, we start all together 01.01.2025!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Does Pilates

Franken did a 12 Days of Wellbeing series on Instagram. In this post, she shared some of her favorite Pilates exercises. Better Health reports that Pilates has a lot of benefits. “Pilates (or the Pilates method) is a series of exercises inspired by calisthenics, yoga and ballet. Pilates promotes mobility and strength of all the major muscle groups in the body in a balanced fashion, whilst also having a key focus on the deep core muscles. It improves posture, flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness.”

She Does Ab Workouts

Franken shared this Pilates workout that focuses on abs in this Instagram post. According to The Mayo Clinic, ab workouts are extremely important. “Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes. Strong core muscles help athletes, such as runners. That's because weak core muscles can lead to more fatigue, less endurance and injuries. Weak core muscles can leave you more prone to poor posture, lower back pain and muscle injuries. Strengthening your core muscles may help back pain get better and lower the risk of falls.”

She Cooks

Franken makes sure to eat a healthy diet. One way she does so is by cooking. She shared this recipe for healthier cookies on Instagram. Franken captioned it, “Who doesn’t love a warm freshly baked cookie🎄🍪 Made with oats, almond butter, and a drizzle of maple syrup, it’s the perfect cozy treat. Packed with fiber and healthy fats—perfect for balancing out your cravings and it only takes minutes to throw together! No baking skills required ;) INGREDIENTS • 2 tbsp almond butter • 2 tbsp oats • 1 tbsp maple syrup • 1 tbsp oat milk • 1 tbsp GF flour • 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds • Pinch of cinnamon • Pinch of cardamom • Pinch of salt. METHOD • Preheat your oven to 375 F • Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix thoroughly • Shape mixture into a ball and place of a lined baking sheet • Bake for 15 mins • Allow to cool • Enjoy!”

She Loves Shrimp

Franken likes to eat shrimp. She shared this video on Instagram of herself enjoying a shrimp and crispy rice bowl. Franken shared the recipe in the caption. “This crispy rice salad with sautéed shrimp is SO GOOD!! Light but filling, healthy but indulgent, basically everything in a crispy, warm and tasty bowl 🍤 🥗 **INGREDIENTS** - 1 cup white rice - 2 cucumbers - 1 avocado - Bunch of parsley - Bunch of mint - Steamed edamame - Roasted cashews - 1 tbsp chilli paste - 3 tbsp olive oil - 1 tbsp tamari - 1 tbsp coconut aminos - 1 tbsp rice vinegar - Sesame seed mix with garlic flakes - 1 pound shrimp - 3 garlic sliced garlic cloves - Smoked paprika - Chilli flakes - Salt & pepper. **METHOD** - Boil rice - Preheat oven to 400 F - Once rice is boiled, place in freezer to cool down - Once cooled, add chili oil and olive oil to rice and mix. - Spread rice evenly onto tray and place in oven for 30 mins (rice should be golden and crispy) - Chop all vegetables for salad and place into large bowl - Prep the dressing by adding all ingredients into a small bowl and mix. - Add dressing to salad then add roasted cashes on topWhen the rice is almost done baking, add garlic and olive oil to a pan then add in shrimp - Sauté the shrimp at medium/high heat until golden - Once rice is done, sprinkle into salad - Serve salad onto your plate and top with sautéed shrimp. Enjoy!! Xx”

She Loves Pomegranate

Franken loves pomegranates. She shared this video on Instagram of herself peeling the fruit. She captioned it, “The only way I will ever peel a pomegranate again, I just saved myself a lot of time and mess…Who would have thought - this actually worked so well!!🤌🏼 Pro tip — I recommend a bigger bowl and don’t wear white! 😘”

Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”
