Busy Philipps just had the best vacation in beautiful Los Cabos, Mexico. Philipps, 45, shared several pictures from her trip, including one of her posing in two-piece workout gear. “I decided to get away last week for a minute because tbh, I really REALLY wanted a vacation because well. don’t we all? ANYWAY…you know what’s a beautiful place to visit and stay? The residences at @nobuloscabos Truly. PLUS it’s a NOBU and the food is next level. And here’s what I was thinking, if you were traveling with a group? For like a girls trip or someone’s birthday or whatever? I’d highly recommend - it would be perfect! and if you were just with someone special? I'm sure you would have the most amazing romantic and intimate time! But honestly? Even if it was just you- it would be just as great. maybe better even🙃! you will love it so much and feel so taken care of and relaxed. I actually truly had the best time ❤️” she captioned the post. Here’s how the actress stays fit, happy, and strong.

1. Personal Trainer

Philipps started working out because she was told to—but came to appreciate it on her own terms. “In the early 2000s, I was asked to lose weight for a part, which is not an uncommon thing that happens in Hollywood,” she told PEOPLE. “Although, maybe it’s getting better now, I don’t know. I hope so, for young actors starting out. But I was told to lose weight for a part, and they sent me to [celebrity trainer] Gunnar Peterson, and he showed me a way into fitness by introducing me to spin classes, showing me the workouts, all that stuff.”

2. Learning To Love Fitness

Busy Philips.1Busy Philips/Instagram

Philipps has learned to love the many benefits of working out. “I think people do that, I think you do, you make that decision,” she told PEOPLE. “You’re like, ‘Oh, I’m not interested in that.’ And finding it organically has been incredible for me, but I was like, told I had to, right? So for people who aren’t told they have to, I would just say to be open to the possibility.”

3. Bulletproof Coffee

Busy Philips.4Busy Philips/Instagram

Philipps swears by Bulletproof coffee to start the day. “It is 8 to 10 ounces of freshly-brewed coffee, 2 tablespoons of grass-fed butter or Ghee (I use Kerrygold butter), 1 Tbs of Brain Octane Oil, and 2 scoops of BulletProof brand Collagen Protein Powder,” she told Cosmopolitan. “It's supposed to jumpstart your metabolism, and I think the collagen powder has had a huge impact on my skin's overall texture and smoothness.”

4. Role Model

Busy Philips.3Busy Philips/Instagram

Philipps feels strongly about setting a good example for her children. “My girls have a different experience because their dad [husband Marc Silverstein] goes to spin class always every day, they know that,” she told PEOPLE. “I do my workout every morning, they know that,” she said. “I feel like modeling behavior for younger generations is so important, and that’s part of the reason why I post my workouts on the [Instagram] stories.”

5. No More Scales

Busy Philips.5Busy Philips/Instagram

Philipps no longer weighs herself, focusing instead on how she feels. “For me, getting the endorphins and the sweat every morning is part of what I think helps me keep [my anxiety] in check,” she toldHealth. “I stopped weighing myself almost two years ago, because I noticed that it was giving me anxiety and really affecting my mood.”

Shaughna Phillips In Workout Gear Jokes About Being “Fitfluencer”

Love Island star Shaughna Phillips is slowly but surely getting back into her fitness routine after welcoming baby Lucia in April 2023—and being honest about postpartum recovery. Phillips, 29, shared a video of herself wearing leggings and a white shirt, mixing up a protein shake in her kitchen after a workout of skipping and star jumps. “Changing my bio to ‘fitfluencer’, having 7 protein shakes a day and getting GYM BRO tatted on my bicep,” she jokingly captioned the post. Here’s how the reality star stays fit and full of energy.

1. Love Island Training

Shaughna.Phillips:InstagramShaughna Phillips/Instagram

Phillips went on a very strict health and fitness regimen before going on Love Island, working out for 90 minutes a day. “I would do 20 to 25 minutes on the treadmill very fast at a high incline,” she told Women’s Health. “I would do a few sets on the lat pulldown machine... and then I used to do a quick circuit on the mats. I used to use like free weights and stuff and that would literally be it every single day.”

2. Holistic Health

Phillips works out to protect her mental health as well as her physical health and appearance. “As I've gotten older, I've realized that separating being healthy from your body image, and how you ‘think you should look’, is the true gamechanger,” she told Bustle. “I feel like a lot of us just subconsciously go to the gym because we think we need to look a certain way. But there are so many other benefits; looks should be the lowest thing on your list of reasons to go to the gym… Don't get me wrong, the health benefits and all of that are absolutely amazing. But for me personally, it is all about the effect physical activity has on mental health.”

3. Morning Workouts

Phillips works out first thing in the morning before the work day starts. “I can tell you what I hate doing and that’s squats,” she told Bustle. “But I really like the feeling of lifting weights and boxing. It almost doesn't feel like you're working out because you're learning something new. I read somewhere that music also gives you the same sort of endorphins as exercise does. I can't think of anything worse than working out and having rubbish music. Or worse: no music at all. I need to listen to angry music, like DMX. Or if I'm going on holiday, then I’ll listen to happy vibe music.”

4. Plans For the Future

Phillips wants to move in a different direction in the future. “I definitely want to maybe get into some kind of politics after the show,” she told Glamour. “I just like helping people and I want to do as much as I can to help people. For me, it’s not really about how much a job pays you, because it’s about helping people. I know that’s cliché and embarrassing, but the job I was in before in the fire safety team, the job previous to that was more money, so... I got a better feeling out of the fire safety team. For me, it’s all about helping people."

5. Embracing Her Physique

Phillips wishes she hadn’t been so hard on herself in the past. “I was aware that I was definitely the biggest girl in there [the villa] but watching old episodes back now, I'm like ‘you looked fab!’” she told Women’s Health. “But that is just proof that you're never happy with what you've got, so you might as well just be happy with what you've got. I was self-conscious but I had no reason to be.”

Maureen Blanquisco is modeling workout clothes. In a new social media post the IFBB contestant shows off her incredible body in a blue exercise set, driving her followers wild. “To all my baddies out there! This color makes your tan complexion POP,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “So gorgeous 🩷🥰” commented one. “OKKKAAAY SLAAY SLAAY,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Swimming

When Maureen was younger she was a swimmer. “I always loved competing and performing. I usually call it “performing” instead of competing. Swimming was an individual sport. If I wanted to win, it all depended on me. I never liked depending on a team. If we lost because of them, I would get very frustrated,” she told Muscular Development.

2. Gymnastics and Cheerleading

Silver,Pom,Poms,On,White,Background,IsolationShutterstock

She then moved on to gymnastics and cheerleading. “Cheerleading was fine until one time we fell during a stunt, and it wasn’t my fault. I said, I think I work better alone,” this is when she discovered weights. “I started lifting weights at age 18. That’s around the time you want to look and feel good, putting on makeup. I was doing fitness training anyway, so I started to look for something I could do competitively that fit that. I had always wanted to compete in beauty pageants, but at 5 feet tall I was too short. Then I saw the Bikini Olympia on YouTube, and the woman who stuck out to me the most was India Paulino. She was my first idol! I thought it looked so cool. The women looked amazing, and this was the closest thing to a beauty pageant I could do. I thought I could just go compete in the Olympia. I had no idea you have to turn pro first, then qualify, the whole long process. But in my head, I only had one goal, to go to the Olympia.”

3. Here Is How She Preps for Shows

“I started prepping for the Olympia right after the Boston Pro in March, so that was seven months. It was a very chill prep because I was eating clean, but I was eating more than ever in a prep. I was still dieting, but it was more calories, and I did have one cheat meal a week. Now I see this is the best approach for me: a longer prep but with more food,” Maureen said.

4. Her “Breaks” Involve Cardio

When she does go on vacation, she still exercises. “I did go on vacation to Hawaii with my partner the week after the Olympia. That was on my bucket list. I did cardio every day, but I took five days off from weights. I had a couple of treats, but nothing crazy,” she says.

5. She Doesn’t “Gain Too Much” During the Offseason

Marueen avoids overindulging in the off season. “I have a very clear mindset that if I gain too much, it will be a lot harder for me,” she told Muscle & Fitness. “In Bikini, it’s all about condition, and while you could be ‘too’ hard, you certainly can’t be soft, either.”

Nina Dobrev is celebrating the bachelorette of her BFF Mary Miller in beautiful Cabo, Mexico. Dobrev, 34, shared highlights from the trip, including pictures of herself posing in the water in a bright pink swimsuit and sun hat. She also shared a boomerang of herself sipping on a drink while wearing a brown and white bikini in the pool. “First stop: Cabo 🏝️ next stop: pool, third stop: celebrate,” she captioned the post. Dobrev of course looked stunning in her pictures—here are five ways the actress stays strong, healthy, and fit.

1. Coffee and Pilates

Los,Angeles,-,Jan,13:,Nina,Dobrev,{object},Arrives,ForShutterstock

Dobrev starts her day with coffee, cereal, and Pilates. “First thing I do is make coffee," she says. "A strong coffee with almond milk. That and cuddle Maverick. My go-to meal before work is: I love Three Wishes cereal. The honey flavor to be specific. It's fast and healthy! I love Pilates. It makes me feel so good. I go to a studio and/or I have a reformer at home and zoom with my private instructor.”

2. Fitness and Confidence

Dobrev loves the way working out gives her confidence and supports her overall health. “When I workout I feel good,” she says. “I don’t know if it’s the endorphins that get released or taking time for me. I don’t think people give enough time to themselves, me-time is almost non-existent anymore. So in that 30 minutes, 45, however long you’re in the workout class you’re focusing on you and you’re doing something for yourself and to make yourself feel better. Not only does it change your body and make you look better, it also makes you feel better… That way your confidence will shine through, through fitness. One other thing I do, especially now that I’ve been working with Reebok and Les Mills, I go to Les Mills Classes with my girlfriends.”

3. Working Out On-the-Go

Los,Angeles,-,Oct,21:,Nina,Dobrev,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Dobrev never travels without the right workout gear. “No matter where I go or where I am I always bring workout clothes,” she says. “There are so many great athleisure brands now, like Alo, that you can wear it just in life and you can also wear it to workout and you feel cute. When you feel cute, you want to work out. Definitely resistance bands. You can take them anywhere and they take up no space in your suitcase. You could do a little circuit outside or in your hotel room or at your home. Anywhere. I love resistance bands.”

4. More Calories

Dobrev has actually upped her calorie intake for health and wellness. “The older I get the more I realize that the more healthy you are in your choices, like I probably eat more now,” she says. “I probably eat more now because I’ve learned it’s healthier to eat meals more frequently and that will sustain your metabolism. So it’s things like that, learning about biology and nutrition. So I have a higher caloric intake throughout the day, and I feel better. It’s about knowledge and education. I wish they taught that earlier so people could learn to do the right things for their bodies, and not fall into bad patterns.”

5. Changing Workouts

Dobrev has switched up her workouts and diet as she gets older, adjusting to her specific needs. "I have to do it a lot more the more... the older I get," she says. "I used to be able to inhale anything, and it wouldn’t make any difference. And now I just have to be more regimented with my diet and my routine." Dobrev’s least favorite exercise is burpees, and her favorite is dancing. "You’re doing the cardio, but you don’t feel like you’re doing the work, 'cause your mind is distracted because you’re having a blast."

Shaughna Phillips is sharing a body positive message – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island star shows off her gorgeous figure while opening up to her fans. “I’ve been meaning to post this for aaaagesssss, and I just kept chickening out which sounds ridiculous but it’s the truth,” she wrote. “This is not easy for me, it’s hard to just be yourself when social media can be SO cruel at times. Full disclosure, I’m not in the place I want to be physically, I have ‘baby weight’ to lose plus a bit more lol, but I’m not going to let my intrusive thoughts about how I look get in the way of me living my life,” she continued. “I really want to be the best role model I can be for Lucia, and I’m so determined that she won’t grow up with the same warped view on body image as I did, and that’s starts with me. I know it’s a bit late for New Year’s resolutions, but I’m sure we all have room for one more 🙋🏼‍♀️ Here’s to getting real in 2024, who wants to join me?” How does the reality star approach health and wellness? Celebwell has the details on her lifestyle habits.

1. She Took Drastic Measures to Slim Down for Love Island

Shaughna went to drastic measures to lose weight for the show, sharing about it in a 17-minute video on her YouTube channel. She wouldn’t allow herself to eat treats over the 2019 Christmas period and asked her colleague to "shame" her every time she tried to. “I think for me and the series that I was in, we had it the hardest... because the casting process was over Christmas,” she said. “Everyone and anyone indulges, but because we knew we were potentially going into the villa, I for one did not have one Quality Street that whole Christmas season... Now, that was a bad Christmas.”

2. She Worked Out 90 Minutes Every Night

A,Phone,With,A,White,1,Hour,And,30,MinutesShutterstock

She went to the gym for 90 minutes every evening and her routine was “very, very strict,” she said. “I would do 20 to 25 minutes on the treadmill very fast at a high incline. I would do a few sets on the lat pulldown machine... and then I used to do a quick circuit on the mats. I used to use like free weights and stuff and that would literally be it every single day.”

3. Working Out Makes Her Feel Better

What motivates her to stay in shape? “Honestly? I become an anxious mess if I don't work out. It sounds cliche, and everyone always says, ‘Oh when you work out you feel better,’ but it’s actually true,” she told Bustle.

4. She Launched a Nutrition Plan

Shaughna.Phillips.2Shaughna Phillips/Instagram

Shaughna launched her own fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle plan, Be You With Shaughna. “No before and after shots. No guaranteed ‘drop a dress size’ promises. No get fit quick plan,” she writes. “What my plan does include? Dedicated work to improve your mental health. Workouts that go at your pace. Nutritional advice aimed at encouraging your relationship with food, and not how to restrict your food.”

5. She’s an “Early Bird”

Shaughna.Phillips.1Shaughna Phillips/Instagram

“I've always been an early bird. Ever since I was little, I've just always been up literally before the sun,” Shaughna told Bustle. “I don't like being rushed in the morning, so although I could probably easily get another hour in bed, I would rather just get up and start waking up gradually. These days, my normal morning routine starts at 6 a.m. I get up, make my breakfast, and have a cup of coffee, or tea, depending on my mood. I watch a little bit of TV before I head to workout at 8:30 a.m. I like to get it done and dusted because that way it means nothing like social media can impact my workout.”

6. She Takes Baths

“I'm definitely a bath girl. To the point where I miss having them in the summer because the last thing you want is to increase your body temperature,” Shaughna told Bustle. “When I used to go to the gym after work, in the days before Love Island, I remember the moments when I would see a text from my mum saying, ‘Your bath is running’ and it would literally feel like I’d won the lottery. Thinking about my bath is one thing I used to do to get me through the gym. Feeling that post-workout ache and being in the bath. There is nothing better! I've got to have a lot of bubbles, not bath salts – I can just feel the grains and it makes me feel like the water is dirty. Lots of candles. I like to have my hair up, out of my face, because I get very hot and bothered.”

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Pilates

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.

She’s Consistent

Last year, Culpo was preparing for her wedding. She told E! News that she made sure to be consistent with her wellness in order to prepare. “Really trying to dial in [on] what I eat, how I workout, the workouts that I do. Trying to get them in consistently because you only get married once and I want to feel my best. But this past season it was just hard being so far away from my normal routine and where I typically live."

She Keeps Her Skin Healthy While Traveling

Culpo has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it, even while traveling. “I don't wear any makeup when traveling," she says to Travel + Leisure. "That's one rule because I do feel like you will have a higher chance of breaking out if you are wearing a full face of makeup. A few things I always have with me is some sort of a spray. I love Dr. Barbara Sturm or Caudalie or La Mer. I also absolutely love traveling with a makeup wipe, the Neutrogena wipes are great. Something to just take off the sweat you build up.”

She Keeps Her Skincare Simple

Culpo shared her skincare routines with Byrdie. She says that she keeps her morning and night routine simple. “I am always trying out new products, so what I gravitate toward is often changing. At night, I usually use an oil and a serum. Right now, I love the Clarins Double Serum. In the morning, I use a Vitamin C serum and an SPF, and, typically, I just rinse my skin with warm water instead of using a cleanser. It is something I swear by—it allows for the oils on my skin from sleeping to absorb naturally.”

She Uses Products With Vitamins

Culpo shared some of her favorite skincare products with Byrdie. She says that she uses ones that have vitamins in them. “I have noticed a huge difference in my skin with vitamin C and E. I love the Good Janes H2OMyGod Moisturizer—it's sort of an all-in-one moisturizer that has vitamin C and collagen peptides. As for vitamin E, I actually just purchase the oil from the drugstore. It is super cheap and great to put on any red marks I may get from an occasional breakout. The healing process is so much quicker when I am using Vitamin E oil.”

She Packs Healthy Snacks

Culpo makes sure to eat healthy. She shared some of the snacks she packs with her with Travel + Leisure. "I love the Kind bars. I love any sort of nuts, to be honest with you. They are a go-to snack for me. I would say Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% and some almonds would be perfect! Also, electrolytes to stay hydrated or some sort of collagen beauty powder or something."

Abigail Ratchford’s amazing body has helped her become one of the most famous models on the internet. The 32-year-old, who boasts over 9.1 million followers on Instagram alone, attributes her measurement-defying body to a few simple habits. Here is everything she does to stay fit at 32.

She Follows 4 Diet Rules

Abigail swears that abiding by simple rules helps her stay in shape. “I can’t diet. That just doesn’t work for me,” she told New Beauty. “I started to be healthier by first cutting out soda. Then, I stopped eating after 7 p.m. Finally, I started really watching my portions so I was eating fewer calories every day. And water—lots and lots of water.”

She UsesMyFitnessPal

Abigail explains being accountable for what she eats is crucial. While it’s not “rocket science,” she does use the MyFitnessPal app to track her eating. “I’m the type of person who likes to eat what I want. The app can help anyone do that—you can still eat great food, you just eat less of it,” she added New Beauty.

Pilates

Abigail is a fan of Pilates. “Group workout classes are so big right now, but I always get nervous around other people in settings like that. I have to go at my own pace without a bunch of distractions so, for me, Pilates with a one-on-one instructor works best. It’s not cheap, but then you also aren’t tempted to skip,” she said She added to Men’s Fitness via Muscle & Fitness that the workout “keeps you long and lean” — and the Mayo Clinic agrees. They say it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Balanced Diet

“I love green juices and smoothies. Sometimes I’ll put some protein powder in the morning—I feel like the mix of vegetables, and vitamins and stuff that’s in them, really gives me a lot of energy in the morning. I love BBQ food—my ultimate cheat is a pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and macaroni and cheese from this great place in LA,” she told Men’s Fitness.

Strength Training

Ratchford also lifts weights. “Initially, I made the mistake that a lot of girls do and I was only doing cardio. I just really didn’t see too much change in my body. I’ve been listening to my girlfriends who are in great shape and they say you have to do weight training, you have to go in and do squats. That’s my new thing—I’ve been doing some resistance training, circuit training,” she told Men’s Fitness. The Mayo Clinic explains that strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

Develop strong bones

Manage your weight

Enhance your quality of life

Manage chronic conditions

Sharpen your thinking skills
