Sarah Orban, a professional cyclist and Olympian, shares her rigorous training, healthy eating habits, and self-care routines with her followers on Instagram. After competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics and representing Canada in major competitions like the UCI Track Cycling World Championships, she’s gained admiration not only for her athletic accomplishments but also for her insights into balanced fitness and nutrition. Recently, she offered a glimpse of her pre-race prep, showing her pride as she donned her Canadian jersey. Orban’s feed is filled with workout tips, favorite recipes, and stretches, showcasing how she balances high-level competition with wellness-focused habits to keep her body and mind in peak condition.


1. She Bikes

Biking is the main way Orban stays in shape. A Healthier Michigan states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Biking is a calorie burner. All that work your body is doing by pedaling and balancing not only works muscles in your arms and core, but it counts as serious cardio exercise and burns calories with every spin of the wheels. By biking at a moderate pace, about 12 or 13 miles per hour, a person weighing 155 pounds burns nearly 300 calories in 30 minutes, according to statistics shared by Harvard University. Like to pedal faster? A person of that same weight doing a fast pace of 14 or 15 miles per hour burns more than 370 calories in 30 minutes.”

2. She Cooks

Orban makes sure to eat a healthy diet. One way she does so is by cooking some of her own meals. She shares some of her favorite recipes on Instagram. In this post, Orban made sourdough French toast with blueberries and strawberries. She captioned the post, “Protein-packed meal ideas - French toast, my way!”

3. She Loves Eggs

A food that Orban incorporates into her diet is eggs. In the previous Instagram video, she is seen using them to make her French toast. In this Instagram video, Orban is seen making scrambled eggs for her avocado toast. Eggs are very good for you. UH Hospitals states, “Eggs are a good source of vitamin D, which aids bone health and the immune system and can reduce inflammation. Eggs also contain vitamins A, B and E, phosphorus, iron, calcium and magnesium.”

4. She Loves Avocado

Orban also loves eating avocados. In the previous Instagram video, she is seen making avocado toast. Avocados are very good for you. The Cleveland Clinic reports, “Avocados include vitamins C, E, K1, B6 and folate, plus essential minerals like potassium and copper. They’re low in sugar, loaded with fiber and high in monounsaturated fats, aka ‘good’ fats. Oh, and did we mention that they taste great and they’re super versatile?!”

5. She Does Stretches

After going on a bike ride, Orban likes to do stretches. She shared her favorites in this Instagram video. Orban captioned the post, “With the body getting older, self care is much more important!! Here’s my 5 fav post-ride stretches. • standing quad stretch • standing hamstring touches • thread the needle • spider-man reach stretch • cobra pose.”
