Candace Cameron Bure is sharing one of her at-home workouts with fans and followers. Bure, 48, shared a video of herself wearing black leggings and a white cropped tank, lifting weights on a mat at home. “FaceTime with @kirastokesfit is always a treat for me— but most of my workouts are done with me, myself, and Kira’s app! 💪🏼🎧📱 ALL of these moves are available there…they’re just a download away 😉 #workoutwednesday,” she captioned the post. Here’s how the actress stays strong and full of energy.

1. Get Outside

Bure’s best tip for getting fit is to just get outside. “Getting out and getting your steps in makes such a massive difference,” she told Fox News. “Doing it outside is better than being at a gym on a treadmill because you're getting fresh air, you're getting in nature. At the end of your walk or jog, take your shoes off, put your feet in the grass and get grounded, like those just for overall health are amazing."

2. Lots of Water

Bure knows how important it is to stay hydrated. “We hear it all the time and again, it sounds so basic, but it's basic because these are the things that work and are important for our bodies,” she told Fox News. “We know we have to stay hydrated, especially in the summertime. I also add an electrolyte to my water which really helps."

3. Mental Health

Bure says exercise is a major part of her mental health and wellness. "I not only juggle my family but also work in a lot of different capacities," she told The Salvation Army Midland Division. "It can get really difficult. I need to keep my mental health clear. Just sweating that out and all those endorphins really help me a lot."

4. Sun Protection

Bure is careful to protect her skin from the sun. "It's really important because we're going outside more often," she told Fox News. "Find a great, high-quality mineral sunscreen for your face. I love the sun. Vitamin D is very important. I'm really prone to sun spots so I make sure I put sunscreen on and even a hat when I'm going to be outside for long periods of time."

5. Better Stronger

Bure is thrilled with her progress through the years. “I have loved this journey of fitness,” she told The Salvation Army Midland Division. “I feel stronger at 45 than I did when I was 20 years old. It’s just every time you get stronger, or I see my muscles from doing more pushups, it keeps me going to want to do more and just keep that up.”

Bure works with trainer, Kira Stokes, to help her stay in shape. “When I work out with Kira, sessions can run up to two hours,” Bure told Cosmopolitan. “She always incorporates a unique combination of functional movements, resistance training, and cardiovascular conditioning, using free weights, body weight, gliders, and portable equipment like jump rope, resistance bands, BOSU, and weighted balls.”

4. She Works Out For Her Mental Health

That's why I keep going. There are a lot of benefits I get. My mind is most important, and exercise definitely helps that."

5. She Jumps Rope

One thing Bure likes to do to stay in shape is jump rope. She shared this video on Instagram of herself jumping rope. Bure captioned the post, “First, whips hurt. Second, this is the first time doing 12 double-unders in a row. Whoo Hoo! Does a jump in between still make it count? Just say YES 👍🏼! I’m learning 😜. #jumprope - P.S. some people have said my rope is too long, however I ordered a rope for exactly my height. When I stand on it, it comes just underneath my armpit- which is where it should land. Still think it’s too long?”

In a new social media post, the racecar driver reveals she is taking “the next major step” in her physical journey as a race driver “and I’ve set the target high!” she says in a new Instagram post, filled with video clips of herself lifting heavy weights at the gym. “Never been more motivated in my life, it’s not physically easy for a girl in this sport, but I’m super excited to take on this new challenge and the next big step on my racing journey,” she added. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Lifting Weights

Bianca spends hours at the gym where she focuses on strength training along with endurance, cardio, reaction time, and reflexes. “You know, to be a driver, it’s a complete package. It takes strength. It takes mental fortitude. It takes reflexes, smart thinking, and survival skills,” she told MEGA Active. “Sometimes it's for the body, sometimes it's for the mind. Nothing more peaceful than early sessions,” she captioned an Instagram post of one of her sessions.

Double Down On Training

Increasing to two workouts a day not just on lifts but aerobic endurance, as well as a better focus on nutrition and rest, in order to raise the bar to compete in the higher formulas,” she said.

Fueling Your Body With Protein

Bianca makes sure to eat enough protein in order to build more muscle and stay as lean as possible to meet the weight requirement. “It’s been a really cool journey seeing my body develop and transform into this whole different person I never knew I could become,” she said. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes post-sport recovery.

Working On Self-Esteem

Positive self-talk is also important. “Of course, I put a lot of pressure on myself, but in the end, I always tell myself that as long as I give my best and I learn from it, any mistake I make is valid,” Bianca explained. “I always try to repeat that to myself that I am valid. I’m here for a reason and there’s nothing I would rather do than be here.”

A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop or die from heart disease than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues

Romani makes sure to work out on a regular basis. She shares a lot of Instagram stories in her highlights of herself at the gym. The Mayo Clinic says that regular exercise is extremely important. “Exercise can help prevent excess weight gain or help you keep off lost weight. When you take part in physical activity, you burn calories. The more intense the activity, the more calories you burn. Romani has her own charity, Help Miami Cats. She talked about how she started this in the caption of this Instagram post. “❤️ Guys!!!! I have always loved cats and had many growing up. When I moved to Miami Beach I met a great calico named Chacha and learnt that cats were brought to the city by Mayor Lummus … against rodents. Cats rely on volunteers for their food and water and there’s a huge amount of them. There’s a city program to Spay and neuter with the wonderful @sobecats ladies and the feeding is made official by a City Sanctioned badge, yet new cats keep getting dumped daily sadly and there’s a never ending amount of work, emergencies and so on. I was on a feeding rotation but during the pandemic I was left alone caring for so many as people left town or couldn’t afford feeding anymore …I decided to start my own non profit @helpmiamicats . We feed close to 200 and when Batman got paralyzed took him and other special needs cats under my care … @stevensachs69 with the cat room and the amazing people involved devote their lives to these special souls … My life has changed a lot too … way less spare time, way more sweat and tears and lost the person I had by my side who had sadly other priorities … yet gained so much love from these lovely creatures !!! If you can please get involved in any way … follow @helpmiamicats , share, volunteer, adopt … donate … Only together we can make their world a better place !!! And yes … just me feeding the kitties and talking to them … 🤷🏻♀️👀😆❤️🙌”
