Carol Alt Shares Swimsuit Video "in Miami" Pool

Here’s how she stays so fit.

Carol Alt is heating up a pool in Miami in her swimsuit. In one of her latest shoots, the legendary supermodel poses in a pink bathing suit with "No make-up" and "no filler," according to the photographer, Ezequiel DelaRosa. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Carol Alt stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

Raw Food

Carol maintains a raw food diet. "Losing weight was hard for me when I was modeling. I was starving all the time. I was always tired. I used to begin my days with a Scotch and coffee with whipped cream, like an Irish coffee. I couldn't get up without that sugar and adrenaline kick. Then I got uterine cancer," she told Allure about why she went raw. "So this was very important information for me. And I wanted to get it out there to people because it's so powerful."

She Cheats

"This is the surprise I tell everyone: I cheat. I'm not an angel. I'm not Super Woman," Alt confessed to Allue. "If I'm sitting at an Italian restaurant and everyone is having pizza, I take a piece and put it on a plate next to me. But I eat what I ordered first, and usually by the time I finish my food, I don't want that pizza. If I still want it after dinner, though, I'm going to have it. And that relieves you of the pressure of having to be good all the time."

Here Is What She Eats in a Day

Alt is "die hard" about her diet. "I take my own milk and add a kefir starter, because kefir has more probiotics in it. And Go Raw has all kinds of fantastic granola. So there's kefir and granola in the morning," she said about her breakfast. "For lunch, I will do a gigantic salad with everything in it—carrots, avocado, olives, anything you can think of. Then for dinner, I'll have tartare or carpaccio and salad. Sometimes I'll actually have a seared steak that's brown and blue, not black and blue. And then for dessert, I'll have fruit. If I know I'm going to an event at night, I'll have some raw-milk cheese and raw crackers before I go."

She Mixes Up Her Workouts

Alt told Refinery 29 that she does "a mixture of stuff," when it comes to exercise. "My workout is constantly evolving depending on what is falling apart on my body, if that makes sense. Legs are always a really important thing, so I added some leg stuff like squats and lunges into the start of my yoga; then, I do yoga. Then, I do Yogalates, and then afterwards I do 15 minutes on the bike in the sauna. I don't kill myself; I know I'm 55. "One of the important things I say in the book is to find something you like doing. Something that you know is working for you. I think part of the problem is people don't like what they do; they're doing the latest fad, or they are lifting weights because they think they have to do that… I think that if you find something that you really like, you'll stick to it, and then you'll start seeing results," she said.

She Does Mirror Mantras

Alt has "a bunch" of mirror mantras that she does. "One is 'Never quit.' That has to do with my business, which is a dog-eat-dog business. You're turned down all the time; people are constantly bashing you. In the health industry, people are now seeing that what I've been saying is the truth, but for 20 years I've been going against the norm, and I was bashed a lot. It's really scary when you go, I'm doing something new and different, and nobody agrees with me, and I'm scared every time I go into a doctor's office and they look at me like I'm nuts. You just want to curl up into a little ball. My mantra is, if you do what you're passionate about, and you do it with love, you can't quit. I say that every day."
