Kelsey Kiel, a prominent CrossFit athlete, recently shared glimpses of her life on Instagram, including quality time spent with her family, partner, and beloved dog. Her post reflects a heartwarming weekend filled with adventures, football, pumpkin picking, and cozy coffee moments. Kiel expressed her sentimentality, saying, “I miss Jojo already. Such a good weekend with my mom, my guy and of course, Oliver. 🥹♥️ adventures, football, pumpkins and coffee. I’m grateful!!” This showcases not just her physical strength but also the strong bonds she cherishes with her loved ones, highlighting the balance she maintains between her rigorous training regimen and a fulfilling personal life.

1. She Works Hard

Kiel makes sure to work hard when she trains. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram video. “The truth is - I’ve been chasing a competitive dream in some way shape or form for almost 10 years. Taking this time for ME has filled my cup (and then some♥️). But it’s hard when I’m used to my body looking a certain way. But the truth is I had to fight to be lean. I had to count and track everything I ate and drank. When I finally gave myself the necessary grace and time away from that, I’ve evolved and my body has followed suit.”

2. She Works On Self-Love

Kiel is working on self-love, especially when it comes to her body. She also talked about this in the caption of the previous Instagram video. “I’m going to fight to love this body in this season of life. I’m going to be better about speaking kindly to myself. It’s hard and I think it’ll be something I have to actively work on (always and forever), but I must, and you must, because this is our one precious life and why should we go through it being so damn hard on ourselves?”

3. She Lifts Weights

Kiel likes to lift weights to stay in shape. She is seen lifting a barbell in the previous Instagram video. Kiel also shared this post of herself weightlifting, captioning it, “Stayin’ skrong 👸🏼✨ // 225, 235, 245 for 1+1 🤝” ACE Fitness states that weights have a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

4. She Does Yoga

Kiel shared some of her favorite ways to stay fit in this Instagram post. One thing she is seen doing is yoga. Harvard Health reports that yoga has a lot of health benefits. “Yoga develops inner awareness. It focuses your attention on your body's abilities at the present moment. It helps develop breath and strength of mind and body. It's not about physical appearance.”

5. She Walks

Another exercise that Kiel is seen doing in the previous Instagram post is walking. Harvard Health states that walking has a lot of benefits. “A pair of studies from the University of Exeter found that a 15-minute walk can curb cravings for chocolate and even reduce the amount of chocolate you eat in stressful situations. And the latest research confirms that walking can reduce cravings and intake of a variety of sugary snacks.”

Kara Saunders is putting her health first – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the CrossFit athlete shows off her fit figure in a two-piece exercise set while discussing the importance of prioritizing fitness. “I’ve been all kinds of busy lately and haven’t trained as consistently as usual or with any real purpose. I can confirm that life is definitely easier with more exercise!” she writes in the Instagram caption. “I’ve decided to use the holiday season to prioritise my fitness again. I’m not sure why the norm is to let yourself go and feel like a sad human marshmallow with a stomach ache at Christmas time 🤷🏽♀️ but I do not personally want that for myself. The way I see it, things slow down and there’s a little more time to play with, so why not use that time to get after feeling epic!”How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Warm Water in the Morning

Kara starts the day off by hydrating. “Every single morning, as soon as I wake up I have a glass of warm water. I like to stimulate my system after the rest and digest phase and gradually wake it up for the day,” she told Paleo Hero.

Fruits, Veggies, Meat, and Seafood

Kara Saunders shows a snap of her dinner.

Kara maintains a clean diet. “I pretty much live on fruit, vegetables, a variety of meat and seafood and then some little snacks here and there. I’m quite relaxed with what I eat and don’t need to be entertained by my food. If it’s healthy, clean and hasn’t been tampered with too much I am happy. When I’m competing, my nutrition might look a little different with oats or something like that added in there, but for the better part every meal (including breakfast) is made up of vegetables and meat,” she says.

Using Food as Medicine

Kara has a holistic approach to diet. “My background is in nutrition, so I use food as my medicine. I genuinely believe in utilizing nutrition to optimize your body’s functions and avoid significant health concerns and/or using medication. I have always lived this way. I purchase a range of proteins, fruit and vegetables, nuts and seeds, and I rotate them throughout the week. I eat very simple foods with minimal components in each meal. I don’t think nutrition should be entertainment or torture. I don’t eat much-processed food, usually just on an odd occasion with my husband, and I exclude dairy and eggs from my diet entirely. This is partly due to intolerance and my beliefs about the adverse effects of consuming dairy. This is very personal, and I recommend people research what is right for them,” she told Muscle and Health.

She Also Has a Holistic Approach Health

“I have lived a holistic life for as long as I can remember,” she continued. “When we were sick in my family, we turned to food, sleep, mindfulness and exercise, which is precisely what Ultrahuman embodies in one place. I have created a series for anyone to show up each day and benefit from the movement the way I have for many years. I want to be there to help people live their best days, and I love how Ultrahuman provides all of the resources from each element to complement that.”

4 Hours of Training Per Day

Kara spends a lot of time in the gym. “I usually train twice per day for 2 hours on average per session. This might increase significantly in the competitive season and reduce a little in the off season,” she says. “My week is usually Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday as training days and Thursday as an active recovery day and Sunday as a full day of rest. Throughout the week my training varies to include Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, running, rowing and riding and a lot of skill work within these domains. It's very well balanced and I don’t necessarily do each component every day.”

Arielle Loewen is walking on her hands – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the CrossFit athlete shows off her strength and amazingly fit figure in a two-piece exercise set during a competition. “Defying gravity,” she captioned the Instagram photo. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Balancing Family Life with the Gym

“I think I’m able to balance it pretty easily because I approach training differently than most CrossFit athletes. I’ve learned that, for me, less is more when it comes to being in the gym, so I have a few hours of high intensity training, and then plenty of family time,” Arielle told The Barbell Spin. “I am in the gym from about 11 AM – 1:30 PM, and then sometimes back for an evening session after my daughter goes to sleep. I train around her schedule and am able to make breakfast and spend time with her in the morning, and then we get to enjoy the afternoon and evening together. If I need to take her to gymnastics, dance lessons or to the park, I can, because I’ve gotten my workout done.”

Macros

Arielle counts macros using MyFitnessPal. Her main focus? Consuming enough protein. “Here's a look inside what I eat in a day as a full-time mom & CrossFit athlete! I love when I hit my protein goal! I weight around 150lbs & my goal is to get 150g of protein a day!@myfitnesspalmakes it easy to see exactly how much protein I'm consuming a day 🥩🍗,” she captioned a post.

Cycling

Like most CrossFit athletes, Arielle spends a great deal of time cycling. Here she is on the airbike. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Hiking

Arielle enjoys outdoor exercise. Here she is hiking in Scotland. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health

Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems.

Training While Pregnant

Arielle didn’t let her pregnancy keep her from CrossFit. While she “scaled down her training significantly” she did a noon class four to five days a week. She also focused on eating “a good meal,” such as meat, potatoes, and veggies, throughout her pregnancy. As her pregnancy progressed she reduced intensity. “CrossFit was definitely good for my physical health, but also my mental health,” Loewen said. “Everything about my body was changing. But the one thing I knew was showing up to the noon class and doing the class workout was my mental escape,” she told CrossFit.

Professional CrossFit athlete Dani Speegle constantly challenges the limits of physical fitness, and she uses her substantial Instagram following to share glimpses of her rigorous regimen. Known for her intense competition routines and favorite workout sessions, Speegle recently captured attention with a striking set of photos at a competition, boldly captioning it, “Commit to the bit.”

She Lifts Weights

One thing Speegle does to keep herself in shape is lift weights. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself lifting weights. Speegle included a photo of herself lifting a barbell from a competition in this post. ACE Fitness states that lifting weights has a lot of benefits. “Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

She Jumps Rope

Speegle shared this reel on Instagram of herself doing different exercises at a competition. One thing she is seen doing is jumping rope. Piedmont states that doing this can improve your coordination. “Jump rope exercises improve your foot coordination and help you focus on your feet. It also strengthens the muscles surrounding your foot and ankle joints, and it can help decrease foot and ankle injuries.”

She Does Lunges

Dani Speegle does lunges during CrossFit games.

Speegle is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram reel. According to ACE Fitness, lunges have a lot of health benefits. “Lunges work the biggest muscles in your lower body — mainly the quadriceps, gluteus maximus, and the adductor magnus (the muscle in your inner thigh). Other muscles that come into play are the hamstrings, gluteus medius, calves, and core stabilizers, says Susane Pata, content strategist for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and NASM-certified personal trainer based in Miami.”

She Does Core Workouts

Dani Speegle does core work during CrossFit games.

Speegle is also seen doing core workouts in the previous Instagram reel. Core workouts are very important. According to The Mayo Clinic, “Your core is the central part of your body. It includes your pelvis, lower back, hips and stomach. The stomach muscles sometimes are called abs. Core exercises train the muscles in your core to work in harmony. This leads to better balance and steadiness, also called stability. Stability is important whether you're on the playing field or doing regular activities. In fact, most sports and other physical activities depend on stable core muscles.”

She Hikes

Speegle likes to hike to keep herself in shape. She shared these photos on Instagram of herself hiking in Sicily. Speegle captioned the post, “Just a constant battle to try and not say ‘I like that boulder…..that’s a nice boulder…’ whenever I look out at a view 🫏” Harvard Health states that hiking has a lot of benefits. “A number of small studies hint that spending time in green space — nature preserves, woodlands, and even urban parks — may ease people's stress levels. Giving the growing consensus that stress contributes to high blood pressure and heart disease risk, anything you can do to mitigate stress is likely helpful.”

Andrea Nisler, a dedicated CrossFit athlete, motivates her followers with her strength-focused workout routines. Recently, she shared a video on Instagram showcasing a variety of dumbbell exercises, including squats and Romanian deadlifts (RDLs), captioning it, “A good week of lifting - that is all 🙂 Looking forward to continuing to make it the focus this winter. Being strong > cardio (imo).” From lifting heavy to balancing cardio, Nisler demonstrates how to build both strength and endurance for optimal fitness.

She Lifts Weights

As you can see from her Instagram post, Nisler likes to lift weights to keep herself in shape. ACE Fitness states that using weights has a lot of benefits. “Using maximal loads for compound (multi-joint) movements like the deadlift, squat-to-shoulder press, bent-over row or chest press can improve intermuscular coordination, which is the ability of many muscles to work together to generate and control high levels of force through multiple joints. Lifting heavy weights elevates levels of anabolic hormones—specifically testosterone, growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)—which are used to repair muscle fibers damaged during exercise. This helps the muscle fibers to become thicker and capable of generating higher levels of force.”

She Does Squats

Nisler is also seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to Allina Health, squats have a lot of health benefits. “The squat is one of the all-around best exercises to do for your lower body. It strengthens and tones muscles in your thighs, butt and calves and improves posture, balance, flexibility and inner core strength. Squatting also improves bone mineral density to keep your bones strong.”

She Does RDLs

Nisler is also seen doing RDLs in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that the exercise has a lot of benefits. “The Romanian deadlift (RDL) is a traditional barbell lift used to develop the strength of the posterior chain muscles, including the erector spinae, gluteus maximus, hamstrings and adductors. When done correctly, the RDL is an effective exercise that helps strengthen both the core and the lower body with one move. Unlike the traditional barbell deadlift and other quad-dominant exercises such as leg presses, which place significant loads on the anterior portion of the knees, the RDL focuses most of the physical work on the muscles responsible for extending the hip and the knee from the posterior.”

She Uses A Fitness Bike

Nisler likes to use a stationary bike to keep herself in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself riding one at different intervals. Penn State PRO Wellness states that using a stationary bike has a lot of benefits. “Riding a stationary exercise bike is an efficient and effective way to burn calories and body fat while strengthening your heart, lungs, and muscles. Compared to some other types of cardio equipment, a stationary bicycle puts less stress on your joints, but it still provides an excellent aerobic workout.”

She Uses A Treadmill

Nisler also likes to walk on a treadmill to keep herself in shape. She is seen doing so in the beginning of this workout video on her Instagram. Healthy Talbot states, “Treadmills provide outstanding cardiovascular exercises, which can significantly enhance your heart health. Thanks to their ability to maintain constant heart rates throughout the exercise. If you’ve high cholesterol or cardiovascular issues, this can be very beneficial. They can help to diagnose cardiac issues like heart disease and artery blockages. Under normal circumstances, your body may not exhibit symptoms of these heart conditions. However, when put under pressure through a workout, those symptoms will be displayed.”

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

It’s hard to believe that Jennifer Aniston is 55 and turning 56 in February! Since soaring to fame in 1994, the Friends star has hardly aged in the three decades that have passed – and she has never been secretive about her devotion to health and wellness. Her hard work over the years has paid off through her strong and lean body and ageless looks. Here is everything you need to know about Jennifer Aniston’s approach to longevity.

She Maintains a High Protein Diet

"My nutrition is very much the same. It's usually a lot of high protein, vegetables, salads, soups,” she tells People. “I do 80/20. I give myself days where I can have whatever I want. I don’t deprive myself,” she added to TODAY. Why should you consider amping up your protein intake? According to clinical trials, consuming more protein than the recommended dietary allowance not only reduces body weight (BW) but also enhances body composition by decreasing fat mass while preserving fat-free mass (FFM) in both low-calorie and standard-calorie diets.

She Cheats on Occasion

Jennifer allows herself to indulge in “everything I would possibly want on a weekend,” she told People. Her cheat meal “depends,” she says. “I mean, dare I sound repetitive, but Mexican food is a real favorite of mine. It's not even that much of a cheat, to be honest. Or a cheeseburger or pizza or pasta — all that stuff.”

She Tries to Get Enough Sleep

“My bigger challenge is sleep. I think that’s all part of our nutritional hygiene — the amount of water we get as well as the amount of sleep we get. It’s the combination of all of those things that make your workouts the most effective," she told TODAY.

“I’ve become gentler with myself,” she says of her approach to fitness, which has “definitely evolved” over the years. “I find that I can be gentler on my body and still get the benefits of a great workout,” she told Prevention. She specifically loves P.Volve workouts, a functional fitness that helps you “function throughout the day” and “work out your essential muscle groups to keep your body strong,” she says. “So you can live a long, healthy, strong life.”

She Hydrates

Aniston prioritizes hydration, drinking a whopping 100 ounces of water per day. "But occasionally I just have to have a Diet Coke—there's nothing like it!" According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

She Does Pilates, Spinning, Elliptical, and Running Workouts
