CrossFit Athlete Kristine Andali in Two-Piece Workout Gear Says "Stick to a Sustained Pace"
Kristine Andali is a CrossFit athlete, posting about her passion for fitness, nutrition, having a healthy mindset, and her one on one coaching business. "Have you ever tried dedicating your workout to someone who you love and care about? I used to do it when I started running longer distances, and I'd dedicate each mile to a different person. I found it really helped me push through. This one was for my mom ♥️ 10 rounds: 10 deadlifts, 8 hang power cleans, 6 push press, 4 pull-ups. Go with a light weight. Stick to a sustained pace. You could also use DBs. Workout courtesy of: @sergefitness #workout #weightlifting #nutritioncoach," she said on Instagram. Here's what she does to keep herself feeling strong and healthy.
She doesn't drink
She avoids drinking alcohol. "[Two] years without alcohol. In my experience, the longer I go without it, the easier it becomes. There's a lot of great things that come from not drinking but I think what I enjoy most is the peace of mind that comes with it – waking up on weekend mornings with a clear head, catching the sun rise and strolling through the farmers' market in the summer, or cozying up on the couch with a cup of coffee in the winter, hangover-free. It's just not the same with a hangover, and it's a feeling I don't see myself giving up. It's just too good," she said on Instagram.
She powers through
She works through the daily struggles. "Work demands. Family dynamics. Kids. Mental load. Financial status. Health status. Social support. Access to resources. Environmental factors.… the list goes on. The truth is, we're all navigating different paths and challenges and nobody's 24-hours looks the same. These differences always have to be taken into consideration," she said on Instagram.
She finds the joy
She looks for joy and happiness every day. "Glimmers: Small moments of joy that come from the experience of life's simple things. 1. Making homemade vanilla almond milk that tasted better than store-bought. 2. Eric's mustache—you either love it or hate it, and I love it. 3. Watching my garden progress. 4. Baby cows. 5. Getting back into making sourdough. 6. Sweet Palmer June's laugh. 7. Sunflowers are my favorite. 8. Coloring. 9. Sauna sessions. 10. The coziness of my fall decor," she said on Instagram.
She finds time for the little things
She appreciates the small stuff, as much as the big, like a nice cup of coffee, or a visit to the local farmers market. "My kind of weekend ☀️Farmers market, homemade sourdough, my favorite breakfast spot, solo coffee date, doggos, and the best part: the beginning stages of our garden 🍅🧅🥬," she said on Instagram.
She's grateful
She's grateful for each and every day. "For a while now, my health has been suffering. A lot of my time is spent laid up in bed or on the couch. I haven't spoken much about it because there are a lot of question marks, and honestly, I don't know where to begin. However, we have been and are actively seeking answers," she said on Instagram. "Days when I can get into the gym and move my body are a blessing. I'll be the first to admit that I take many things for granted, movement being one of them, and it's not until I'm in a situation like this that I realize it and I'm definitely not proud of that. So this is just a gentle reminder to you and myself: take a moment today and be thankful for the ability to move, to appreciate your health and the simple day-to-day things that we often overlook. Every day is a gift." According to the Help Guide, "while it's not always easy, being grateful for the positives in life can have a profound impact on your mood, outlook, and overall well-being."
