The Bachelor star Demi Burnett is clearly very excited about the upcoming Greta Gerwig Barbie movie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. Burnett, 28, shared a reel of herself dancing and singing to Nicki Minaj’s Barbie World song, wearing a pink bikini and matching sunglasses with her blonde hair loose around her shoulders. “Music video shoot with me and the girls 💟 Directed, produced, edited, starred in, and filmed by me,” she captioned the post. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Burnett stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Loves Hiking

Burnett enjoys hiking in the beautiful outdoors. “Research has consistently demonstrated that exercise is as effective as a full dose of antihypertensive medication at lowering blood pressure,” says sports medicine physician Matthew Kampert, DO, MS. “Every hike provides a unique opportunity to experience the sky above you, the ground beneath you and the peace within you."

2. She Plays Tennis

Burnett loves playing tennis, which is a great way to stay fit and motivated. “It’s been shown that people who play tennis regularly have lower rates of cardiovascular disease, such as hypertension and coronary artery disease,” say the experts at Hospital for Special Surgery. “The average resting heart rate for adults is between 60 to 100 beats a minute, and for the most part a lower heart rate suggests that a person’s heart is functioning more efficiently and that their overall cardiovascular fitness is better.”

3. She Bakes

Burnett loves cooking and baking at home. “Baking is an opportunity to clear our heads and de-stress,” says Pamela Honsberger, MD, a family doctor and director of physician engagement and leadership development at Kaiser Permanente in Orange County, California. “When you focus your attention on an activity like baking, you’re more present in the moment and less focused on stressors of the past or future.”

4. Living the Sober Life

Burnett stopped drinking alcohol completely, and says her life immediately improved. "I used to be drunk all day every day," she says. "I used to drink almost a bottle of Tito's a day. I honestly never thought I could do this. I never thought I would be able to not drink. This is wild man... Since my sobriety, I have EVOLVED and I'm so ready to be back in front of a camera.”

5. Reality Role Model

Burnett is proud to be a role model for young people. “A lot of people told me that I helped them have the courage to come out,” she says. “I’ve had people’s parents come up to me in public and say, thank you, my child came out because of you, because you inspire them to be themselves and you help them know that it was okay. It’s overwhelming sometimes, in a good way. I don’t even know what to say half the time. I’m so proud of everyone and I’m proud of myself for being able to inspire people. It really meant alot to me that I got to help other people.”

1. She Walks Her Dog

Demi goes for a lot of walks. “It’s great day to be alive and the sun’s still shining,” she captioned a video of herself taking her dog on a walk. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

2. She Roller Skates

Demi also enjoys roller skating, which is similar to rollerblading. “Inline skating increases your heart rate and gets your lungs working, both components in aerobic exercise. You can increase these aerobic benefits by skating on an incline, skating more vigorously, or practicing interval skating. Aerobic exercise improves the cardiovascular system, reducing the risk of heart disease, stroke, and high blood pressure,” says Rollerblade.

3. She Is Open About Her Autism

In a recent Instagram post, Demi revealed she had been diagnosed with autism. “I did a psychological evaluation and I’m autistic. There is a huge stigma when it comes to autism. I encourage you to be open minded and accepting. Swipe for some “memes” that might be helpful when dealing with an autistic person. all I want is to have a better quality of life ❤️ I will share more on my story of my evaluation and how I got to this point and all of my pain and struggles along the way. I want to make sure anyone who is/was feeling like me can know you really aren’t alone. It can get better! And most importantly it isn’t your fault,” she wrote.

4. She Quit Drinking Alcohol

Demi has also revealed she put down the bottle and maintains an alcohol-free lifestyle. “Drinking is going out of style anyway #alcoholfree,” she captioned a post.

5. She Gets Botox

“Wait, that’s you?” one of her followers asked after she posted a swimsuit snap, asking her if she went under the knife. “Just Botox in [my] forehead!” Demi responded, adding that Botox is the “only work” she’s had done. “I think it’s just [because] I’ve gained a lil weight, so my face looks chubbier LOL.”

1. She’s Happy to Be Where She Is

Demi's approach to life? "It's about embracing and no longer looking for what's wrong and really being in acceptance of everything. Gravity is going in directions that I'm not so fond of. I can look in the mirror occasionally and say 'you're lying, I don't look like that.' but the reality is the comfort I feel in my skin is the greatest gift. I wouldn't trade it. I'm just happy to be where I am," she told InStyle.

2. She Knows Things Change

Celebration Of Women In Cinema Gala Hosted By The Red Sea Film Festival - The 78th Venice International Film FestivalDaniele Venturelli/Getty Images

“Things do change,” Demi told W Magazine not too long ago. “The biggest difference, I think, is that I’m not in nearly as good shape physically as I have been before, and I have skin going in a direction that I would prefer it not go. There are things that just come with getting older. But I think my big mantra for this year is about acceptance. I was reading this book that was written around 1919, if I am remembering correctly, and it was very of its day. It was discussing all the ‘female’ concerns. There were some horrific suggestions on how to take care of yourself, including putting some kind of acid on your skin. But there was one thing I took away, because I think it’s true—the author said not to frown because at a certain point it will stick. And what speaks to me here is that I do believe that when we hold upset, anger, hurt, pain or bitterness, it ages us and we wear it. That isn’t to say we are always going to feel happy. But it’s important not to hold on to things.”

3. She Was Once a Workout Obsessive

When getting ready for certain revealing scenes in movies, “I cut out carbs, I ran, and I biked, and I worked out on every machine imaginable. I didn’t feel like I could stop exercising,” she wrote in her book. “It was my job to fit into that unforgiving military uniform I’d be wearing in two months in A Few Good Men. Getting in shape for that movie launched the obsession with working out that would consume me over the next five years. I never dared let up.”

4. She’s Used the Mirror

Now Demi is more likely to use the Mirror, the workout device that is an actual mirror on your wall, with built-in videos that play on it. "15 min at level 1 that’s doable … right? I am stalling!" Demi wrote once in a post. "This is going to be my next jam. Okay, here I go, wish me luck."

5. She Loves Andie Swimwear

"Demi was an early investor," Andie's founder and CEO, Melanie Travis, told InStyle. "We've always talked about what would make sense to do together, and then back in December of 2020 — in anticipation of a successful vaccine rollout and then what would hopefully be a great summer of friends and family, being able to travel, and get together again, across the United States — we felt like this could be the perfect summer to do a campaign together."

Demi Lovato is looking healthy and happy in their swimsuit! The non-binary singer and actor shared a bunch of photos over the weekend, looking fabulous and fit in a swimsuit during a getaway in Joshua Tree. Over the years, the star has openly struggled with body image issues and addiction, and shared their wisdom on the journey. "Cutie," said one fan. Read on for 7 ways Demi Lovato changed their approach to health and wellness and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bikini Photos!

1. Demi Was Once Obsessed with Fitness

In 2020, Demi was interviewed by model Ashley Graham for her "Pretty Big Deal" podcast. On it, they admitted that they was once so obsessed with working out and losing weight, that they would exercise multiple times a day. "I'd eat a meal, go work out," they said. "That's not happiness to me. That's not freedom."

2. They Had to Take a Break From Exercise

In 2019, Lovato had to step away from exercise altogether and reset. "For so many years I dealt with an eating disorder. What I wasn't ever open with myself about was, whenever I was in the gym I was doing it to an unhealthy extreme," they said at the 2019 Teen Vogue Summit. “Embracing my body as it is naturally is why I took the month of October off the gym.”

3. They Learned to Accept Their Body

Demi learned to accept their body, which differs from body positivity. "We hear the term body positivity all the time. To be honest, I don't always feel positive about my body. Sometimes I do not like what I see. I don't sit there and dwell on it. I also don't lie to myself," they said during the Summit. "I used to look in the mirror if I was having a bad body image day and say 'I love my body, you're beautifully and wonderfully made.' But I didn't believe it. I don't have to lie to myself and tell myself I have an amazing body. All I have to say is 'I'm healthy.' In that statement, I express gratitude. I am grateful for my strength and things I can do with my body. I am saying I'm healthy and I accept the way my body is today without changing anything."

4. Now, They Are Healthier

2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards – ArrivalsEmma McIntyre/Getty Images

Lovato ended up losing weight, not because they were trying but because they finally learned how to live a healthy lifestyle. "I don't count calories anymore. I don't over-exercise anymore. I don't restrict or purge. And I especially…don't live my life [according] to the diet culture…and I've actually lost weight," they captioned a recent Instagram video. “I feel full. Not of food, but of divine wisdom and cosmic guidance, peace, serenity, joy, and love.”

5. They Celebrate Their Stretch Marks

OBB Premiere Event For YouTube Originals Docuseries "Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil"Rich Fury/Getty Images

In 2020, Demi inspired fans, by embracing their stretch marks and painting them with glitter to honor their eating disorder recovery. “In honor of my gratitude for the place I’m in today, this was a lil shoot I did by myself in quarantine this summer when I wanted to celebrate my stretch marks instead of being ashamed of them. I started wearing actual glitter paint on my stretch marks to celebrate my body and all of it’s features (whether society views them as good OR bad) My stretch marks aren’t going away so might as well throw a lil glitter on em’ amiright? Also let this be a reminder to anyone who doesn’t think it’s possible: IT ACTUALLY IS YOU CAN DO IT. I BELIEVE IN YOU. This year was tough.. be gentle on yourself if you slip up and remember to get right back on track because you’re WORTH THE MIRACLE OF RECOVERY I LOVE YOU,” Demi wrote.

6. Demi Celebrates Their Body

"I'm not naturally super thin. I have an athletic body. I just have to embrace that. There are days when it's hard to, but more and more, there are days where I'm actually proud of my body,” Demi told Complex.

7. They Have Learned the Beauty of Balance

Demi also prioritizes self-care. "I definitely take time for myself," they told Hoda Kotb in a recent TODAY interview "Luckily, I'm in a position in my career where I've kind of paid my dues a little bit. I've been around the block, so I don't have to run myself into the ground anymore like I used to do when I was first starting out."

Sometimes I work out at my house. I’ll do some lunges, something simple like that. Otherwise I’ll go to the gym. I’ve only had one trainer in my life, and I realized that because of my dance background, I already have discipline and I don’t need to be pushed. I think I’ve saved a lot of money too. As a dancer, I’ve never put strict rules on my workout habits and sometimes I just want to go to the gym and do something light.”

Over the past few years, Sydney Sweeney has become one of America’s sweethearts with celebrated roles in everything from hit HBO shows Euphoria and White Lotus to big-screen movies Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Anyone But You. In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
