Eve Thomas is doing Pilates in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the dual Olympian shows off her amazing figure in an exercise set during a Pilates class. “In sync with @lena_gasson wearing @theskulptcollective 🤍🩷,” she captioned the Instagram clip. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
1. Horseback Riding
Eve enjoys riding horses in her down time. “Hanging with my pals 🐴🐴,” she captioned a post. According to the American Heart Association, riding horses is great for your health. Not only does it boost cardiovascular health, but builds core strength, burns calories, and lowers blood pressure. It is also great for your mental health as it helps relax you.
2. Strength Training
Eve gets her body ready for competition by strength training. “Monday arvo gym,” she captioned a post from one of her sessions. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:
- Develop strong bones
- Manage your weight
- Enhance your quality of life
- Manage chronic conditions
- Sharpen your thinking skills
3. Swimming
Swimming is one of Eve’s main forms of fitness. Swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity, according to the CDC. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, there are multiple studies supporting the mental health benefits of swimming as well.
4. Running
Eve also runs. “Only 1 more 5km on the track for the Doha girlies✨✨✨,” she captioned a post. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.
5. Pilates
In her recent post, she hits a Pilates class with a pal. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.
