Erin Lim, a successful TV host best known for The Rundown on E! Network, stays active and prioritizes wellness in her daily routine. She recently shared a lighthearted Instagram video of herself stretching to Johnny Cash’s “Hurt,” captioning it, “The song is cracking me up though…things I have to do to feel normal ish.” Lim finds creative ways to stay fit, from stretching to playing golf, and has a varied fitness routine. In an interview with The Newsette, she revealed she works out four times a week and starts her mornings with a smoothie. Here's a deeper look into Erin Lim's wellness habits that keep her feeling her best.

1. She Stretches

As you can tell from her Instagram video, Lim likes to stretch to stay in shape. Stretching is very beneficial. Harvard Health states, “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage. For example, sitting in a chair all day results in tight hamstrings in the back of the thigh. That can make it harder to extend your leg or straighten your knee all the way, which inhibits walking. Likewise, when tight muscles are suddenly called on for a strenuous activity that stretches them, such as playing tennis, they may become damaged from suddenly being stretched. Injured muscles may not be strong enough to support the joints, which can lead to joint injury.”

2. She Plays Golf

Lim loves to play golf to stay in shape. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself on the course. Lim shared this video of herself taking a shot, captioning it, “I’m gonna putt from the tee box more.” Lim also posted this set of photos of herself and some friends playing golf at an invitational. She captioned that post, “First time back on the course since dealing with major back pain and no better way to shake the rust off than with the @hypegolf invitational! Thx for having me @jlindebergofficial 🫶🏽”

3. She Stays Hydrated

Lim makes sure to stay hydrated. In this Instagram video where she went through her morning routine, she revealed that she drinks 8 ounces of water each day. Staying hydrated with water is extremely important. Harvard Health states, “Drinking enough water each day is crucial for many reasons: to regulate body temperature, keep joints lubricated, prevent infections, deliver nutrients to cells, and keep organs functioning properly. Being well-hydrated also improves sleep quality, cognition, and mood.”

4. She Does A Variety Of Workouts

Lim likes to do a variety of different workouts to keep herself in shape. When she broke down her morning routine to The Newsette, she shared some of her favorite workouts. “This is the time the alarm is set, but of course I gotta let it snooze for that solid 9 minutes. So 6:10am is usually when I’m UP. I try to get a 7am workout in 4x a week. Mon/Wed/Fri, I do resistance interval training with my trainer Hannah Jackson and 1 day a week I do SoulCycle with Angela Manuel-Davis.”

5. She Loves Smoothies

Lim revealed in her Newsette interview that she likes to drink smoothies on her way to work. “Either ‘The Flaxmaster’ from Earthbar or a Daily Harvest smoothie. Yummmm. Key ingredient in all my smoothies is Bulletproof Brain Octane. (You’ll thank me later.) I’m usually wearing my fave Peter Thomas Roth eye patches. Nothing makes me feel better about being up early than those things.”
