Nicole Briscoe is running a marathon in her workout gear. In a new social media post the ESPN star shows off her fit figure in a two-piece exercise set while running, sharing a photo of a recent run. Marathons are hard, but one of the most special parts of the chaos? Is meeting people. I did not know @annie.loves.chocolate until I stepped into that @chimarathon corral a year ago. But we bonded over nerves, ambition, kids and a love of Australia. She’s an Aussie. I married one. One year later, we still keep in touch, and hopefully we toe the line again someday. New York? Boston? Sydney?” she captioned the post. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
1. She Wakes Up Early
Nicole wakes up around 3:00 to 3:35 am and gets her day started. “I actually have four alarms set on my phone. Every day, I play a game with myself where I try to get up before the second alarm goes off. I’ll get up and stumble for the next 20 minutes through the whole brush-the-teeth, wash-the-face and get-out-the-door thing. I try to be out of my house every day by about 3:25am,” she told Sports Business Journal.
2. Coffee
Nicole enjoys the perks of caffeine. She walks out the door with “coffee in hand and breakfast in my bag,” she told the publication. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.
3. Sleep

Because she gets up so early and understands the importance of sleep, Nicole is in bed by 8:30 pm. “The kids go to bed and then I fall asleep. There are times where I'm putting the kids to sleep, and I blink and start falling asleep. So, by the time I climb into bed and everything is done, that is all she wrote,” she says. What are the health benefits of sleep? According to the Sleep Foundation, getting enough z’s is a mood booster, promotes heart health, regulates blood sugar, improves mental function, restores your immune system, helps relieve stress, and aids in weight loss.
4. Endometriosis
"I had severe endometriosis. I lived through 10 years of infertility, countless miscarriages, an abdominal ectopic, two healthy pregnancies, and no one had ever uttered the word 'endometriosis,' " Nicole told People, revealing that she was diagnosed after undergoing surgery following a pregnancy loss. She says she had "terrible periods" her "entire life” but nobody ever diagnosed her before this. "There's an anger that comes with it," she said about the diagnosis. "It's like, 'Why was I even in this situation?' If somebody else had, early on, taken a look at this situation and said, 'You know what? This is the easy answer, but let's take a look at a few other things just to make sure.' ... But no one ever did that. No one ever took one extra step."
5. Running
Running is Nicole’s go-to workout. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.
